I don’t remember exactly what happened, but I know the cop was like at a rest area or something like that with not like any cars around and somehow it led to a couple people attacking him and he would’ve been completely screwed. He would’ve been murdered for sure, and he was able to click his panic button, which then made the guys flee when the dog came out.
It's amazing how K 9 are treated like real partners by the officers. It truly shows that of all the animals in the animal kingdom, dogs will always be man's best friend. Mad respect for this four legged officers of the law.

tbh, in my opinion i don't think anyone was really at fault right there for one, god knows if their police department even has pepperballs or beanbags, maybe they couldn't be deployed in time? two, tazers and nonlethal options in general have been shown to not always be effective, including against naked people, literally watch any of Donut Operator's videos three, the officers likely didn't want to resort to lethal options, they sent in the dog to hopefully intimidate the suspect into giving up without a fight from the pain and sheer pressure of the situation, however, he didn't the officers then responded almost immediately and shot the suspect before he could do any harm, most likely hesitating from the shock of the situation while, sure, sending the dog wasn't the best decision, i would like to remind you and richson that these people are HUMAN BEINGS they make errors just like us and just because we have hindsight on things like "oh what if this happened" "oh what if they did this other thing" doesn't make what the officers did wrong in the moment which brings me to another point, pressure. they're dealing with a suspect who they don't know what's wrong, they only know he has a machete and is completely naked, they're struggling to figure out the situation what would you have done, in a situation where you don't know anything, have to respond on the fly and the suspect has a deadly weapon in his hands? be honest i'm not a professional and this is just my personal opinion but seriously, mmmmaybe use a slight amount of common sense and empathy before commenting?

Yeah, my boy ran out to my dad‘s vehicle one day when he was coming down the driveway and my dad stopped. It bumped my dog cause he hit the front of the car but the tire hit his foot and like shredded the hair off his foot, thank goodness nothing was broken, but I was freaking out so even if I was in a situation where I knew my dog was shot even if I was, I would probably be freaking out trying to get to my dog too. And my husband’s even closer with the dogs so I know that he would be trying to get to them even more so.

German is the standard for Police dogs because the average American doesn’t know German and cannot try to command their dogs. Originally one of the best police dog schools was from Germany so it makes sense!
