I don't even have words to describe the cowardliness of those agents
"RIP Officer Jarrott. Thank you for your service and sacrifice." Interesting sentiment. Let’s examine it without the lens of emotional reverence. The concept of "sacrifice" implies a conscious choice to endure harm for a greater cause. One might question whether Officer Jarrott, or anyone in similar circumstances, truly sacrifices out of altruism-or if it’s simply part of a calculated transaction. Officers take on the role voluntarily, fully aware of the risks, in exchange for job security, pensions, and societal respect. If altruism were the driving force, wouldn’t there be comparable dedication in similarly dangerous but less glorified professions, like sanitation workers or utility linemen? The phrase “thank you for your service” raises another question: what exactly is the "service" here? Is it protecting communities, upholding laws, or maintaining a system that often prioritizes state authority over individual welfare? And in this case, did the "sacrifice" yield a meaningful outcome, or was it a tragic example of systemic inefficiency? As for the federal agents described as cowardly-perhaps they too were acting rationally. After all, their survival ensures their ability to continue performing their duties. If the mission was ultimately completed without further loss of life, was their perceived "cowardice" not pragmatism in disguise? Perhaps the entire situation is less about noble sacrifice and more about a flawed system where human lives, whether law enforcement or civilian, are expendable in the pursuit of enforcing societal rules that themselves are open to scrutiny.
The pure adrenaline to get back up and return fire, you can see him needing help to walk afterwards. They fought for their lives and for their friend, amazing.

I'm an American from the "Deep-South" and, seeing the way people are and how things are (or are going, depending on how you look at it). Thankfully I was in a hospital setting so a team rushed in. At the very least I knew I would be able to tell one of them to pass on my last words. That’s how it works man. We’re the government and we’re here to help
Uh
"RIP Officer Jarrott. Thank you for your service and sacrifice."
Interesting sentiment.

I live by the military oath of service to which I swore.
I, and my brothers, knew what we were getting into, and we never bitched or cried about it. And we cleaned our own house whenever some bug brought disgrace to us.
The last one where the guy said that "he was alone, he died in that apratment alone" and still said that even if himself got killed, the victim wouldnt have died alone shows how painfully guilty he felt about fleeing without the last one ;c
Just like the military, those are your brothers and sisters in blue. They are your family and your support. Having one of them taken from you is hard to deal with. I know because one of my best friends is in SWAT, and have heard gut-wrenching stories.

The first one makes me sad. They KNEW what that man was capable of, yet they send ONE officer
I don’t support their choices but I can see why they did, sending one officer lessens the chance of immediate aggression due to the man feeling threatened or overly suspicious. Although they could’ve atleast had another officer waiting in the car.

Those cops instigated that one big time. The whole we smell marijuana we can search your car ploy is complete bull crap. It's such crap that the courts allow that, because naturally that's all cops need to do to search your car and many departments require officers to do this on a routine basis as a form of protocol. They did it to me when I drove through Illinois. Freaked me out! I thought they were going to plant something, fortunately for me they didn't. It's pretty crazy to be fortunate for not being f'd over worse. I certainly don't want anyone to get shot, but people shouldn't be harassed as a form of protocol either... you just don't do that to someone.... it's extremely scary, especially if you've never been put in a cage before, but still scary to anyone. You put someone in fight or flight who never did anything wrong to begin with.
You leave you're house one day, you're not hurting anyone or doing anything wrong and next thing you know agents of the state are threatening you and if the mood suits them right they can take you and put you in a cage among other things.

@@isworthy1183 Yeah, the classic "I smell weed" excuse that they use as an excuse to bypass the 4th Amendment to search a car. I used to have the mindset that people who refuse consensual searches and refused to answer questions were "hiding something", but after I've seen the number of DUI arrests that have been made on people that have all the tests come back negative, and all the K9 searches that "hit" on a vehicle where nothing is found, or the bogus "I smell weed/alcohol" that results in nothing, I'm *ALWAYS?* skeptical of ANY officer that says they smell something. Officers have a "You WILL obey me" complex so they take it personal when you don't voluntary follow their optional commands, and they really don't like it when you call them out on their bullshit when they say they "smell something".
