Absoluty brilliant tutorial, Wayne! 🎉 I've been using Canva since they started, for my various entrepreneurial andventures, and have grown steadily as a "self-taught" designer. A total Canva Geek! Your content has inspired me like no other creators has. I am on fire! Thank you soooo much!
@@digitalebetriebswirtin I'm so glad it was helpful! I am actually releasing a pack of carousel templates similar to this next week on my site. Be sure to sign up for my newsletter and I'll make sure I let everyone know when they are live. Thank you for your comment! 🖤
To be honest: I'm already in your newsletter! That's why I'm totally happy that I was able to buy your salespage templates at the initial price and got the matching social media templates as well - they are *so beautiful* 🤩🤩 @createdbywayne
Hello Wayne!! I am circling back to create this carousel.. what I've noticed is that Canva has a Insta carousel template. Is that something that is good to go, or will it need to be edited? Thank you for taking the time to share your incredible work.
This was amazing to learn. Tech and graphics in particular are an Achilles heel for me. I am in the midst of launch prep and have never felt more confident in what I can put out on the socials. Thank youuuuuuu!!!
this man is genuinely such a brilliant. the only one person who really made me feel good about design and marketing in instagram. 😭😭😭😭😭 so mich more than tutorial, its about his manners and aura
Although I am not new to the design I find your tutorials very informative and helpful. The best TH-cam channel I have came across in my opinion. I started in Adobe, then moved to Affinity and Canva. I signed up for your course and can't wait to get started 😊 Love your content.
Started a podcast about my love of hunting and cooking wildgame. Little did I know that I would have to become a social media expert along with it. Thank you for the tutorial on carousel creation, i'm positively tickled with my outcome. Keep up the good work Wayne.
Right?? When they talk about having to wear 'many hats' when creating content they don't mention you have to be an experts in a dozen things too!! 😬 I hope my content helps! 😊
This is the best video I have seen showing me how to make a carousel. Your instruction is very clear and I think based on what I've learned from you I will be more inclined to use them. Thank you so much! I will be sharing the link to this TH-cam video in my next newsletter. Thank you so much!
Hi Wayne! Great tutorial For a long time I was looking for a tutorial to make a carousel, and now I found it thanks to you! Now Im a new subscriber of your channel!
Hey Garth ! You mean the thumbnails that are below the working part of your dashboard? That's the timeline that you can access by clicking on 'duration' in any multipage design. It basically allows you to treat it like a video timeline. Let me know if that is what you mean!
Very helpful and informative … I don’t use my Instagram … but now I want to try this 👍😉 I'm an IT instructor teaching my clients how to use their programs (including Canva) and I love your way of teaching. It’s very similar to my own (that's probably why I love it) 😉
Instagram is my fav social media channel cos it’s so visual. But like with all those channels it can become overwhelming. Just make sure you have fun with it! Glad to have you here! 😁🖤
Thank you so much for providing this video; it's quite informative! Instagram is fairly new to me (even though it's been around for a while). I was planning on using 1080×1080 instead of 1080x1350 simply because it seemed more appealing. However, after your explanation of screen space, the vertical posts makes more sense. I also didn't think about overlapping elements to help make it one long flowing image to keep the audience engaged. What about other social media platforms (Pinterest, Facebook, etc)? Maybe tips on how to create content (like boards & pins) and/or which platforms to use/avoid for a business setting? What's your take on email marketing/newsletters? I know you already have a video for Convertkit, but what about Flodesk? Perhaps a comparison? Pros & cons of each?
Not specifically, but you would basically just click and drag an audio track underneath the timeline for that slide - but then you need to export each slide as a separate video so they audio exports with it.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! And absolutely! If you save the original 'wide' design as a brand template, you could then change the content, colors etc anytime and export it again to be split up and posted. 😁
After a little searching last night I found you and wow. Your content is amazing. It is easy to follow along and looks great. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. In this tutorial when you add the first and last images, I am assuming you created them previously. Are they stored as images or something else? Thanks!
Thank you - and welcome! Yup, those two are just images of individual post layouts I created in Canva, and exported as individual images. You could just create that layout on the first and last slides using elements, but I didn't want to spend too much time on those. Hope that helps! 🖤
Hello!!! I love your channel is the best! I just have a question on this video, I made it but the image of my video is too small when I uploaded on Instagram and Facebook, do you know why or how can I make it bigger like a hole screen?.
Yopu would have to resize it for whichever platform you are using it on. You can start by using the 'Resize & Magic Switch' tool, and then just tweak it to make sure it looks good. Each platform has their own preferred dimensions, so you would need to check them to be sure, but for a full screen video (like a normal TH-cam video) the size is 1080px h x 1920px w.
Hi Wayne we are trying to up our social media game and your videos are proving invaluable but as a management consultancy in healthcare our main focus is on LinkedIn. Would this carousel technique work in LinkedIn or would we need to just make it as an MP4 video on there?
Hey Marcus! I don't really use LinkedInn much so I am no experts, but as far as I know LI removed the ability to have carousel posts late in 2023. You can have carousel ADVERTS, but not posts, so I would assume the only way to create that kind of effect would be with a mp4 export of the 'slideshow'.
@@createdbywayne thanks Wayne I’m digging into it a bit more now. So far I’m using skills gained from some of your other videos to improve the impact of my content on LI
New to canva and wondering how you were creating the actual text boxes that you are dragging onto your slides. The first part of the video is good, but I'm not able to get to the end result with this tutorial.
Those are just standard text boxes that you can add to a page using the 'text' panel on the left - or just by hitting 't' on your keyboard. And then you can format them as you wish.
Hi Alyssa! I am afraid I know nothing about what works or doesn't work on LinkedIn as it's not a platform I use at all. I wish I could be of more help, but it's not my area of expertise! 🫤
Hola. Si hace clic en el ícono de CONFIGURACIÓN en el video y luego elige SUBTÍTULOS, debería tener la opción de TRADUCCIÓN AUTOMÁTICA y puede elegir su idioma.
Oh no! That should not be the case as it has worked perfectly for others. The only thing I can suggest is that you check the physical size of your working space, and also your export settings.
I'm afraid that's true - Canva now has a limit on the width of custom designs. I've been doing it in 2 parts to get around that. But I'll be doing a new carousel tutorial soon. 😁
Hey Gary - You are right! I didn't actually show it in situ! My bad! I do have a mockup of what it looks like if that helps: www.canva.com/design/DAGD98ozFzw/ln9tzBUe56H6OkrLEENOvw/watch?DAGD98ozFzw&
It does take effort, but a lot of people enjoy the creating and love the aesthetic control it allows. And of course tiktok doesn't have carousel posts...but it certainly dominates when it comes to video! Which may be why carousels still do so well on Instagram I guess.

How do you copy the different slides onto one big slide :)?
Great Post. Thank you for the Tips. Do you have a video showing how to add music to each carousel image?
