In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

Yeah it's amazing. The other song was fantastic too. Not As good, sure, bit deserves more air time!
I honestly prefer the other one 🤭 but both were great! One of the best completed tasks by everyone!

Square brackets, which you used, are called just "brackets" in our country. Rounded brackets, which we call parentheses, are just called "brackets" in the British Isles and indeed much of the rest of the English speaking world. Now, it could be that two Englishmen, on an English show, meant brackets the way you and I usually mean them, but since that would mean using square brackets, instead of round, in a song title - which is so rare that I can't think of a single example - I'm going to humbly suggest that I had it right to begin with.
Hopefully my overly pedantic response showed you that if you're going to be a pedant, you should at least bother to be correct about it.

It's so incredible that Nish, the contestant known for failing in sometimes spectacular and confounding ways, was co-responsible for one of the greatest task achievements in Taskmaster history.
That’s what makes the song so special. The two most disastrous contestants of the series pulling off the most unexpectedly brilliant win in their final episode. 😌
Same with Tree Wizard. Love both of them
There's been a few incompetent players who've had moments of brilliance, but everyone has that, nobody is pure good/bad
It adds an extra layer to the whole performance when you realize the song is about trying your best, but never being good enough.

Nobody has ever smashed a task as well as Nish and Mark’s song for a stranger. Not even when Joe Lycett opened the Mayo Jar before he even read the task.
The end result is probably one of the best things you can do in that time. But I also very much enjoyed Bob being by far the best examinator in history.

Rose’s attempt at the ‘Write lyrics to the Taskmaster theme song’ task is one of my personal favourites from all 11 seasons and isn’t talked about enough :/

I presume because they included her in the end, they wanted to feature someone else. Tbh though, I think if they only wanted to do one, they should have included the lyrics to the theme song one.
If a part two is made of this I *need* James's "Over My Shoulder" song to be included because that gets stuck in my head constantly.
The boulder is a metaphor for everything that drags you down and saps your self-confidence.

As competitive as some Taskmaster contestants may be, "Taskmaster" isn't really a game or a challenge for a prize. It's a way for creative people to express their ingenuity in a very funny, very entertaining way. You think James Acaster has a "punk schtick" that isn't fitting for the whole absurdity? That's just, um, silly, and I can guarantee Alex wouldn't agree with that.

Eh. It wasn't exactly a good song or performance. Yeah, it stays in your head but that is mostly because it's just endless repetition.
I whip my hair back and forth is also a line I will never forget, but it's not because it's a good line in a good song.
I do wonder about Rosalind's sons, who had to listen to their mother describe them as 'a bit inept' on TV. :D

The other Taskonbury team's song is hugely under-rated. I would have also loved to have seen what other questions Bob would have come up with in the 5 minutes, had this been a solo task...
I've said it before and I'll say it again, the line "Tim Vine, is a lovely man,a wonderful man, but he's fuckin weird" is one of the funniest things in Taskmaster haha
i only wish they had sean lock on in an earlier season, so i could watch and rewatch it whenever i felt sad - sean's sense of humour always made me laugh - rip

Nish & Mark’s song was a solid bop! One of my fave tasks ever.
I can't believe they showed David Baddiel's monotone taskmaster rendition over Rose Matafeo's rootin' tootin' rap, that was truly the most memorable performance by far!
They showed her at the end, have to mix it up a bit, can't just show 1 person unless it's that person's compilation

Will never get over how the other couple in Rosalind's string quartet broke up after the husband lost the use of his fingers...
I thought the couple was still together but they just replaced him in the quartet? Can't play a classical string instrument if you don't have all of your fingers.

David's Taskmaster theme task is pretty much the exact moment Nish passed the torch to him for Most Incompetent Contestant. Both had advantages in their musical tasks due to being the only musicians of the group, and Nish did one of the best performances in the history of the show, while David completely shit the bed
It's likely they've chosen the wrong one for each of these examples (except, of course, Open Brackets/Closed Brackets).
