Okay, let's be real, at the beginning of the video, you don't see that many people with babies AT THE SAME TIME AND PLACE in a PARK. Unless you go to a baby playdate or something, you won't see that many people at the same time and place with children. Even the robot kind

I was given this for my grade 11 parenting class
I was the only one in my class who got 100% with only 5 minutes of cry time.

@@K350 Depends how long you’ll have yours for lol
I kept mine in its car seat right beside my bed so I heard the smallest noises before it became a big wail.
I also kept each item laid out in the order I had to use them as well as kept a pencil and the recording paper right beside my bed so I could log as soon as possible so I could go right back to sleep.
My big tip is keep that baby as your main and only focus, don’t go on tiktok or scroll reels to not get distracted.
Even if you think it’s a small noise, check in with the baby, that’s how I managed my 5 minutes of cry time.
But yeah that’s it just be hyper aware of the baby and that’s about it you should be fine :)

All this project taught me is that if I have a baby I can handle it. Lmao y’all tried it though

    • @Its420somewheree
      @Its420somewheree 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@ness7342 Sooo I was 15 when I did the project and I’m 18 now and realize I could NOT handle a baby. I can handle all the crying and lack of sleep and the puke and poop and pee cause my dog did all of that. But there’s no way I could go through giving birth right now. That’s a whole scary process you need to be as prepared as u can possibly be for. Me and my bf are not at all financially stable. There’s medical bills, diapers, bottles, formula, crib, clothes, food, toys for the very loud teething process, and so much more involved. I need to get through college and have a stable job before I can handle a baby. I also gotta sort out my mental health. I love my bf dearly but I’m only 18 and the thought of having that lifetime commitment to him and his family sounds AWFUL. No way am I near ready for that. Again, I love him dearly but the lifetime commitment of a child is way too much to think abt rn. There’s so much I didn’t think about at 15 but I’ve learned a lot more since then and you are very right. There’s absolutely nothing that can truly prepare you for having a kid besides having a kid.
Edit: I wanna hit my 15 year old self I’m so embarrassed by her. We’re all dumb at 15 but oh my god dude. A BABY?? AT 15?? Who did I think I was lol

Let me disabuse you AND ALL OTHER YOUNG PERSONS of that notion.
      (1) Newborns do not sleep in normal human diurnal cycles. What the heck do I mean by that? I mean that they will often be wide awake when YOU are normally asleep or want to sleep, and that they will be asleep when you are awake. And because a baby will wake up and cry if it is hungry, thirsty, has a soiled diaper or if it is sick, this means that you must be aware even when the baby does go to sleep. If the child has medical issues (this is common) and is on a monitor, the monitor will scream like a Fire Alarm to wake you up. Then you might be called upon to do even more stuff like CPR and writing the incident down in a journal (This is what happened to me). It takes weeks to harmonize the child's sleeping pattern with a normal human pattern, SO FORGET ABOUT SLEEPING FOR AN ENTIRE NIGHT FOR ABOUT THE FIRST TWO TO THREE MONTHS.
      (2) Babies require constant monitoring, something that does not happen with these Reality Dolls. You only have to attend to them if they "cry" or give a signal for you to do something. Not so with a living baby. The child must be under your watchful eye at all times without letup. Many parents accomplish this by installing an EXPENSIVE baby monitoring system (I did). Otherwise the child must be in the same room as you all the time.
      (3) Don't rely on Mom and Dad for respite. They are not under any legal obligation whatsoever to help you raise your child. They may volunteer to babysit from time to time, but they don't have to do that. They don't have to provide for the child financially either. That's on you (and the sperm donor).
      (4) Don't rely on help from the government, either. A law was passed in 1995 that ended welfare as it used to be. Now, mothers on welfare can only get financial assistance for FIVE YEARS PER LIFETIME (AND OTHER STATES ARE PART OF A NATIONAL MONITORING SYSTEM TO ENSURE THAT PEOPLE CANNOT RUN FROM STATE TO STATE TO RENUE THE BENEFIT EITHER!) And MOTHERS and FATHERS are both required to WORK for at least 30 hours per week in exchange for the benefits they get or else they get kicked off the program. You must WORK even if you have a baby. That means that you must get daycare, or arrange for childcare and still take care of the baby or child after work.
      (5) It now costs about $17,000 per year to raise a child, not including the $10,000 or so for daycare. And that is if you ONLY keep the child at the bare minimum to survive. Minimum means just providing food, clothing, housing, basic healthcare and public education. Now, if your child has a talent or wants to "Participate" in some activity, you can add up to an additional $50,000 per year, depending on what the activity is (my daughter was a Figure Skater ($$$$), but the $$$$ also applies if you have a child who wants to play Hockey, Swim, do Gymnastics, play Soccer, Tennis or Golf; pray that your child chooses Football, Basketball, Baseball/Softball or Music instead--the Public School system pays for those). I guess that's why so many kids are OBESE--they are sitting at home playing Video Games--IT'S CHEAPER than Athletics!!
I have worked all my life, 47 years in fact. And I was a young MARRIED MOTHER when I had my daughter. It was an enormous amount of work, even with the assistance of my husband. To this very day, I cannot tell you how I managed to hold down a job, be a housewife and mother, and (eventually) be a caregiver to my ailing mother and sister simultaneously. Now, my mother and sister are deceased, my daughter is grown, graduated from college and is a Working, married, expectant mother herself, and even as a retiree, I cannot say how I managed.
SAYING you can handle it is one thing; ACTUALLY DOING THAT is a horse of a whole different color.
