You dont recognize the song because you were a product of the top 40 radio stations who played songs they were instructed to or which they deemed hits. Totally agree, I was thinking the same thing and long realized what a genius of a man John was. And to think of it he was taken from this world 41 years ago.
Lennon was way ahead of his time. He was against the Vietnam war, for women´s rights, for the civil rights movement, for legalization of marijuana. Just very progressive for his time. Nowadays what he was fighting for is considered obvious, but back then he caught ALOT of flack. Hunted by the FBI, the Nixon administration, the media etc.

I don't get the title at all, to be honest... but man what lyrics! Is it just me, or are they so timeless that they could have been written in this day and age?
Totally agree, I was thinking the same thing and long realized what a genius of a man John was. And to think of it he was taken from this world 41 years ago.
Lucie means Lucifer, meaning light/truth
Lennon was way ahead of his time. He was against the Vietnam war, for women´s rights, for the civil rights movement, for legalization of marijuana. Just very progressive for his time. Nowadays what he was fighting for is considered obvious, but back then he caught ALOT of flack. Hunted by the FBI, the Nixon administration, the media etc.
