Hey everyone! I know I said Tech Rules Bits probably wouldn't end up being a thing, but I had a surprisingly positive response from it, and I suddenly had this idea while I was working on the next video. Don't worry about it taking over the regular Tech Rules uploads, though; for right now, I just want this to be a strictly once in a while thing. It was a little more difficult to put together than I would've preferred, but I hope you find it interesting!

So I saw and watched this and I gotta say, I really like "Ascended" Pete. He has a sorta Trickster fightstyle and is not afraid to use dirty moves (Firecracker Barrage, Homing Bowling Balls) or use his size to his advantage with his flailing charge. And his unintentional ability to tech and swap moves on the fly makes him that much trickier.

I'm just imagining an all encompassing mod where all the bosses and enemies are made *ASCENDED* like Pete here, resulting in a mega difficult challenge from beginning to start.
But then I hear just this one boss took six hours to iron out into something approaching playable, and I realize it'd be a serious undertaking for whoever had that kind of free time (not to mention ability)
I want the giant heartless in pride lands to be replaced by a giant pete lion

Radhew's increasing exasperation and incredulity at being trapped in the Bowling Zone sells the entire first half of the video. Like, it's very interesting, and the only thing I ever hacked into KHII was permanent Anti-Form and permanent Mickey (I stopped when I learned that they would soft-lock the game if you tried to ride a skateboard), so this provides a lot of insight on a field I did not delve into enough as a kid.
But "Staaaahp. Stop. Okay. _Do something else._ *_Stop bowling!_* He's *too busy* bowling! Is this _really_ happening right now?" puts the video on a level that perhaps was not intended at its conception.
We need an ascended pete that summons more ascended petes by whistling
And those ascended petes can whistle to summon MORE ascended petes, creating an infinite loop of ascended petes.
Multiplicative Pete, his moves are actually weaker than regular Pete, but the trick is the bowling ball move is replaced with a move that summons another him, so he spams it.
The trick isn't killing him, that's easy, the trick is killing all of them before the game crashes.

Every magic count as a finisher. So you might not want to use cure every time and use hi-potions instead. SPECIALLY on lvl 1

How to KH boss:
-Its disney boss? -> Can be damaged all fight, then it cant be damaged, then it does some weird move
->Its a original character boss? ->teleport, long chain combos even if first hit doesnt connect, small window to realitate and after that you can chain combo for a while before it escapes and perfoms another attacks, more teleport, some proyectiles, when low on health it pulls some bs special move
->Is it a heartless? You mostly set traps and chain stagger it
->Is it secret boss? Dodge roll all fight, one spell, heal, repeat

To be honest, I don't know half of what you did with all of this- Actually I only grasped the vaguest of concepts behind it- But this was fascinating to watch... I know it was tricky as *hell* for you, but it'd be SO good to see what you do with other bosses or custom 'coding' like this in the future! (IS it coding? Heck, I don't even know that!)
Indirect coding (aka modding) he's using tools that do the coding for him, it's not very different of using an engine like GameMaker or RPG Maker
It's not coding. Any mod can use the tools.

@@CBBrains I might also need to add why hexadecimal representation of the number is useful in this case. Hexadecimal numbers are often used to represent binary numbers, those 1s and 0s found in a computer, because there is very simple conversion between them. As opposed to converting binary numbers to decimal numbers, the normal ones, which require quite a bit of addition and multiplication :)

This was so cool to watch with you getting further and further each time you experimented. Would love to see more of these with more underrated fights like ascended Vivi or ascended Seifer calling us a loser every time he attacks.

Or hit Square, almost all the Square combo mods like Upper Slash and Horizontal Slash have finisher tag as well

This is just guess work from the video we don't have the build yet, but here's the strat.
Strat: Use thunder (or use reflect) during run cycle, then attack pete. Once the shield is up, glide in the air and wait for the ground pound, then thunder and combo. (From the looks of the video reflect is way too risky due to the firecrackers.) When you run out of mp use Mega Ether.
