No, it's not a copy. LINUJ developed both DRA and SDRA2. The reason why it's DRA and not SDRA is because in the official Danganronpa games, the first Dangan game is abbreviated as 'DR1' or just 'DR', whereas the second Dangan game was abbreviated as 'SDR2'.
And as for the quality, I may be wrong, but I think LINUJ switched softwares(?) for SDRA2, which is why it looks smoother in comparison to the pixelated look DRA has.
