10:33 - that voice actor is simply amazing. Hermes may be annoying, but he also sounds almost scared and hopeless. As annoying people often are. It's amazing how well the Olympians are portrayed in this series (if we count the evils that infected them of course). Of all the satisfying scenes during the GOW saga, some of the boss deaths in this game are actually quite sad, as the, once mighty and feared gods, appear truly hopeless before Kratos (Poseidon, Helios, Hermes, Hera, Hephaesteus). True, they kinda deserved it, but if you think well about it, many of them did not. That's what I find so peculiar about this series. In the end, the one true "villain" of this saga is Kratos himself. He craved only power, at the expense of all others and then craved only revenge as an excuse for the "petty" gods who "deserted" him.

He was murdered, tricked into murdering his own family, ends up killing his last spartan soldier accidentally because of Zeus, betrayed several times, manipulated and cursed. Denied release, denied the right to die when he actually wanted to. Everything he ever cared about was gone and the gods took huge part on that. The man has fucking lost it. So no... I don't feel a single sentiment of compassion for Hermes after that song. And the gods were contaminated by the evils of pandora's box. Athena herself said that. What Kratos did was fucked up to mankind but ultimately the world would face disgrace one way or another with the gods becoming corrupted. Even though he speed up the process of destruction in the end, even if he didn't intended to, he gave mankind the power of hope. And humanity will rebuild from the ashes of that world with "the most powerful weapon" according to Athena. He's not a hero. Not even antihero. But ain't a villain either. But yeah he can be an asshole to put it mildly.
Chaos mode for the gods seems fair. But for the monsters? Hell no, they shouldn't be a problem and yet it takes a while to kill them for example when Kratos uses the blade of Olympus on them, there still alive after the brutal attack!

The game rewards you for killing them this way with +5 red orbs which are as many as you get for killing a zombie. I must have killed about 20 which gives me 100 red orbs!
harits andhika If you do a brutal kill you get bonus red orbs. Look at a civilian when I grab him, it will say Brutal Kill +5. If it is something difficult to catch like a harpy it will give +10 and if you kill a big enemy like a cyclops you get +25! So killing all of them is equal to the bonus I would get from killing 4 cyclops!
Yeah but only if you kill something a certain way. Another example, if you reflect the gorgon's petrify beam you get +15 for every petrify enemy you destroy!
I've beaten Dark Souls and I agree. Kratos can't heal during battle or run away. Plus you can't grind enemies for experience. The difficulty of Dark Souls comes from not knowing how to properly level up your character and equipment. Kratos existence is that of suffering since he was young. He attempted suicide 3 times during the games. Suffering is what made him so violent and ruthless. He hates everyone and himself.
