AutoUpgrade can be used only if we are upgrading to Oracle 19c on the same Db server right (in-place upgrade)?

unplug plug a PDB from another CDB 😁 and restore the database at the end

Can we auto upgrade a 12.2 database to 19 with existing invalid objects in SYS schema? Thanks for your time!
Ideally sys invalid objects should be fixed before Upgrade
nice video! what is the key difference if you are upgrading 4 instance RAC running on exadata?
Mostly the upgrade part is similar
Any observations on time taken to upgrade ? probably small size db around 100G , midsize db around 600G , Bigsize 1 TB . on 2 Sock PowerEdge T440
DB upgrade generally takes around 45 min to 1 hr if you have already taken care preupgrade tasks
Can you also post the Upgrade steps for Dataguard and also for 18c and 19c version

By the way folks .. this will not work as simple shown in video .. if you have multiple instances on same home you need to plan accordingly . It takes hell lot of time in RT .. pl test in your environment and proceed further.

When we have multiple instances sharing same Oracle home ...but requirement is to upgrade only one db to 19c ..
For single instance database u can use this method...very effective and easy method for db upgrade

when you say multiple instances is it u are talking about RAC database or multiple single instance databases. If its about multiple single instance databases then yes use manual method.

Can I upgrade oracle 12cR1 database to 19c directly using Autoupgrade tool or Autoupgrade is only supports when source is 12cR2?
U can use it for 11g also because your target is 19c and Autoupgrade tool comes with 19c
Hi, while following this steps, getting error UPG - 1303, can someone please let me know the reason for it.
Give full error details
UPG-1303: A failed check has an ERROR severity but the fixup is unavailable or failed to correct the problem. Manually fix the problem and rerun AutoUpgrade
How can we get quarterly patches without oracle support account

I have try same method & it is completed successfully but i check invalid object present & timezone same as 26.
I run manually @?/rdbms/admin/utlrp.sql & it is done same for doing timezone run script. If i add parameter on config file upg1.timezone_upg=yes,upg1.run_utlrp=yes so why it is not reflect after upgrade, why i need to do manually
Mostly the utlrp will run based on this parameter which we set in config file.

Check the logs of autoupgrade
