    Nice explained but few q in mind 1. how oracle will know my setups location for rdbms and setups for ojvm and setups for grid to install patches you have given only one patch id that is for database only wht abt gird and ojvm 2. Is it runtime? No downtime required then what abt other nodes in rac how they will know that first node patching is done and now we have to start 2nd node.. 3.you copied some commands from youe notepad for necessary checks b4 n after patch can you share us that notead. 4.

    Thanks for the video, excellent. How should I do when I have a two-node RAC in production and a two-node contingency RAC with standby database. Does the opatchauto work also when I have three databases in the same RAC?

    Thanks for sharing knowledge. .
    one doubt, do we need take down time for 19c patch or not required. .
    means down need to down the Db. .
    for Java Patch we need to open in Upgrade mode na, so we need down time or not?

    • @OracleDBAOnlineTraining
      @OracleDBAOnlineTraining  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Basically if its single instance db then u will require downtime. But u can avoid downtime by performing switchover. If its RAC patches can be applied in rolling manner

    If I wants to use resume, what would be the proprt syntax:
    a) opatchauto -apply /path_to_patch resume
    Or
    b) opatchauto -apply resume

    Cool Stuff ! Nicely explained. I have a question. In your Video you mentioned not to run the datapatch but in your doc you mentioned to run it. Please clarify. ( Is this for completeness sake)
    From the DOC I found this below lines for datapatch:==
    Once Patching completed run below command from oracle home OPatch path:
    ./datapatch -verbose

    • @OracleDBAOnlineTraining
      @OracleDBAOnlineTraining  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You don't have to run datapatch manually... it will be taken care of by opatchauto utility when u run apply command. Please ignore the command mentioned in my TextPad in the videos.
