Disguise...yes I think he was disguised in some way(s). Bomb...I think it matters little whether his bomb was real or not. Destination...I think he wanted to jump out of the plane in familiar territory like maybe the Orchards area north of Vancouver, Washington.
Incoming wall of text-- Disguise: Two of the three flight attendants wore wigs every day (quite common in the 1960s and early 1970s to achieve those wild, big bubble hairstyles popular for women in the era) and said that he wasn't wearing a hairpiece. Colour contacts were first created in the 1930s but weren't really available to the public until the early 1970s. These apparently looked weird and unnatural. So, nah, I don't think he was wearing any disguise other than the sunglasses if you want to count those. Maybe he wore those just to prep his eyes for the night jump (not sure who first considered that possibility but, hats off to them!). Real bomb: I don't think so but haven't got any sort of rationale without babbling about a thus far unsubstantiable idea. Did he want to go to Mexico: Agreed. I don't think he ever had any intention to travel south of the border. I believe that was a ruse. He clearly knew the area (his noting that he could see Tacoma out the window, his complaint about McChord being only 20 minutes away) and was ready to jump shortly after they got off the ground in Seattle. Another awesome ep--thanks!
@@cipherbloom thank you! I blended my name 'Paul' into it. But yes, Cooper buried all the money at Tena Bar the night of the heist. He buried it there because he lived up the road from Tena Bar. He buried it there cuz he didn't want it on his person or property till he knew where the FBI was going to focus their investigation. He didn't know he caused the bump in the flight, and the next day he was horrified to find out the FBI knew exactly where he jumped. Fearing his name could come up hot in an FBI investigation, he retrieved the money at Tena Bar under the cover of darkness, and the 5900 dollars fell out of the bag unnoticed due to anxiety and poor visibility. It was left partially exposed, and the flood of '72 six months later, planted the spring/summer diatoms on the money, and shifting sands covered the money back up till 1980. No one outside of the Vancouver area is going to Tena Bar. It's impossible for the money to get there any other way than by human intervention. DB Cooper was barely 30 y.o. that night
It’s always cool to hear you talk about D.B. Cooper Ned. I hope you’re doing well, have a great rest of your day and a great weekend. Take care!
With such a standstill in the case I would try a Medium! A “Ditto” moment might come of it

Thank you 👍
😅
Wasn't there something noticeably off about his hair? I'd say it was died dark from a grey tone.

He may have dyed his hair. No other disguise.

DB Cooper was a local to the Ridgefield, Wa area. Tena Bar proves it
@@apaulcalypse_ As far as Cooper being local to Ridgefield being tied into Tena Bar, could you elaborate? BTW, your username is rad, I love it!
