Thanks for another great video! I was so surprised how disinterested my daughters are in keeping my stuff. For me, the Death Cleaning and decluttering is a mental game, and I need to let go of the guilt of getting rid of things.
@@nikkipoon1695 Thanks for watching!!!! Guilt is rough and getting rid of stuff with Swedish Death Cleaning IS a mental game! I’m right there with you. Have you guys ever tried Swedish Death Cleaning? Have you realized you have too many accessories? Through this process, I realized I have to make any method of decluttering my own... Doing this with Swedish Death Cleaning allowed me to really learned the power of keeping only what I value and if I need to get a replacement that's ok, too. Have a GREAT day!!! All the best, Bren💞🌺
I’m currently on this journey. What you said about your kids not wanting things you thought they would is the exact purpose of death cleaning. On our deaths our kids are left going through our things and the burden of trying to figure out what to do with stuff they have no attachment to is daunting. If you’ve had to do that with your parent, you know even more how important it is to do with your own stuff. Love it!
@@jeffgrence9832 Thank you so much! I’m so glad this video was inspirational for you. Sometimes, a video like this helps a lot when we’re trying to declutter things. 😊
I have just slowly started the process of going through my personal items. My closet looks nice with my clothes. I haven’t done shoes or purses yet but I work full-time and I have plans to be TIRE in May so I will have more time to go through my things, I have done some of my kitchen items, but I have always never liked stuff on my counters. I have a lot more boxes to go through yet because I moved into my new home last summer and then I went back to work full-time as a teacher so I have to let myself know it is OK but I do plan to take my time and go through stuff, but I love how you shared that with your children individually. I did have to go through my dad’s stuff a few years back, but for some reason, my heart went out to abuse women and I help set up three halfway houses with my dad’s furniture TVs appliances.

I decluttered a 3 bedroom house and moved into a motor home to travel around Australia, I gave my children the keepsakes I had kept for each one, I have donated family heirlooms to historical society because my children didn’t want them and I couldn’t bring myself to sell them, the society said I could get them back if I changed my mind, I have two small boxes with small sentimental items I still use, I put every photo onto my ancestry account under each persons profile
