- Hi guys! Thanks for tuning in... This week we're going to see if we can get the 1954 Nash Statesman home from a nearby farm... Dean is along to help, and I think he needs a new beater! Keith stopped in to help shine up the Kaiser Special, and Myles and Ash were on hand to pull the engine for the 1960 Impala Splice project!
Thanks so much to everyone who ordered a 1937 Chevy T-shirt, they are all shipped now, so watch the mail!
Hope you enjoyed the 8mm clips! I am filming more on the 8mm camera and I'll include the footage as soon as I get it developed... Special thanks to Steve Dean and Niagara Film Labs in Toronto.
Thanks to everyone who subscribed to our channel here, and thanks also for all of your "likes" and comments!

Which car would I bring back? The 72 Trabant deluxe special.
You have a lot of artifacts of incredible value - good memories and even better times with the homies. A lot better than playing video games!
please get the 61 plymouth in the body shop !!!!
Happy birthday 🎂 Frankers
Scott, something weird is going on. I try to leave shout outs for your channel in the comments I leave at other channels and 99% of the time I go back and yt has deleted them ! It's very frustrating. Any idea why they would do that ? 🤔
It’s nice to see our old buddy Dean back on the show.
Did he get out of re-hab?
Everyone needs a mate like Dean.
@@HawklordLI: I don't think he's ever been anywhere near rehab 😂😂😂😂
The Sweet - band on Keith's T-shirt
Hey Scott, it 's not like you need more projects BUT, there is a market for fenders and front and rear clips restored as wall art for man caves, restaurants etc. I'm tight on storage space so having a couple of Alfa fenders on the side of the garage as 'art' is working for me. The 60 Impace panels/fenders are iconic and some would say ironic (batwings)
The 61 Plymouth has my vote for going back on the road
Yes! I agree 100%.
61 does come after 60
@@coldwarmotors It's such a polarizing, iconic Chrysler vehicle. I'm fixin to start a 1:25 resin Fury, finished in Lavender Metallic!
The Fury station wagon is the one I would like to see "restored" :)
👍👌👏 Thumbs ups for Dean, Colin and especially Ash and Myles for all the help.
Best regards, luck and especially health to all 3 of you.
don't forget to take off the front sway bar and associated parts off the V8 60 Chev chassis before it goes. The Biscayne chassis being originally an I6, didn't get a front sway bar. You'll also need the lower control arms welded on sway bar stampings. It will make for a less "boat-y" drive.
Truth.
Put on Ballroom Blitz, and you got their names. Kaiser.
👍👌👏 Here's the requested thumbs up for agent 2000, his gorgeous Rover and his help.
Best regards, luck and health in particular.
If you scuffed the roof on the Kaiser, and shot a coat of white, cream , or tan, it would look awesome....Probably won't happen, but... Cool car...Cheers
Sketchy dust in on the roof!
Was thinking the same thing.
The more I look at the Kaiser, the more I think you should do it. It's such a good looking car, despite the body looking like Sonny Liston used it as a punch bag at one point. It would attract attention wherever it went and it's such a shame about some of those nasty creases in an otherwise pretty sound body.
If not, then there's amid fifties (Maybe 1955?) Plymouth that stands in the line of rusting Mopar products. Always loved the style of that era (My age showing again!)
Anyway, thanks for saving so many cars - even if it takes three to save one!
Scott called it--The Kaiser fans would come out of the woodwork. I'm all for it!
61 Plymouth splice gets my revival vote! "Its perfect for a parts car" the understatement of the year! See you on Thursday!
Oh, yes! My vote too. You've got to have the '59/'60/'61 set.
I was concerned that no one was going to utter the phrase "polishing a turd" but Myles came through for me. Great show! and great to see Dean again. Cheers and all the best from the shed
For rescues like this Nash, it might pay to have a metal detector along to find the trim and other bits hiding in the grass and bushes. It's always fun to see another one saved from returning to the ore from which it came, although this one needs a bit of work. All the best to you, and all the Agents too.
I think that Nash is in better shape than what Dean is driving. He could trade up. Thanks for the weekly dose of the same old shit. Cheers!
Agreed! I think he has replaced it... ( Now I mix him up with Tom! Haha)... Cheers Heather!
My vote for the car to restore from the lot would be...................The Brady Bunch Station Wagon............I hope it gets tidied before I am pushing up daisies............
The 51 Kaiser is slowly weaseling it's way into our hearts, cheering for the underdog. Quite a difference shining it up! I thought for sure that Nash was going to break in two. I lost it when the camera came around to the back and there was no rear to the body. When Keith said people thought he only had one shirt: too funny!
I'm like Keith in the way of shirts. If I find one I like, I buy at least 2. That way If 1 gets damaged...
The only entrance Dean can make! I know it's going to be a great day!😆
Good to see Dean back in the swing of things being Dean lol. Looking forward to all the upcoming events. safe travels to Myles and the wife! A big Happy Birthday to Frankers!!! See you on Thursday.
I don't understand why the 'Tom suspenders and belt' fashion trend hasn't taken off. . .
I was very impressed with Colin's gentle touch handling the Nash with his Tractor. He really knows how to use his Tractor with great skill and all of you had great patience! HAPPY BIRTHDAY Frankers! You are the Star of Cold War Motors - We Love You Furbaby!! Scott you are blessed with some really great friends! Hope you know how lucky you are !! Great Video. Great Times! 🙂
That Kaiser is just a great looking car! I hope you keep working on her all the way to plates, like my favorite Frazer!
You and Coldwar Motors are one of the best TH-cam channel. And why I continue to waste my time watching you and your heaps is beyond me!
Same here but I do though 😂
Thankful for another episode to make my week complete!
The band looks like "Sweet"
I love the mix of old and rare cars I remember from my Childhood, my Father had many strange cars, as he always bought the cheapest ones he could find. Brings back many memories.
Tell Miles too stop off in Kent - England and I'll buy him a full English breakfast, show him the local castle and show him all minh and my friends Brit & Yank classics 😉
Yep, its a bonnet... especially on a Rover!. The T-shirts The Sweet... I saw them live in the 90s before Brian's passing
Very cool! Thanks for the note... Cheers from here!
Here in Nova Scotia all the car guys born here call the hood a bonnet as well . They also refer to an intake manifold as a dome !
5 points
Happy 7th Birthday Frankers!
Great show again this week. Thanks for putting it together for us to enjoy.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Bravo on the Kaiser rehab. 50 Dodge next using parts from the second one. A weekend rehab please
Nice to see the Volvo in the shop. What a nice car!
Enjoy the trip Myles and Larissa!
I like "COLD WAR MOTORS" but now it's vintage international motors. Canadian, American, French, British, and Swedish automobiles in various states of repair. LOVE IT ! Nice to see Dean in his Japanese transportation pod as well.
I refer to my Corolla as a transportation appliance. It was made in Canada, though.
Picking favorite cars is like trying to pick favorite kids. Each one has its good side. I like them all... Vehicle inspections here In Memphis has pretty much cleaned out all the older stuff .being an old guy like Tom I've owned and drove a lot worse looking cars than most on the lot
As a child I tried to steer my car shopping folks to an old blue Rambler American. I love the upside down bathtub style. ❤ The sparse simplicity. Bulbous & organic, also....
Love to hear how the Conti is coming along
Conti updates coming soon! Jim is a very busy fella during the summer... Cheers!
@@coldwarmotors Love to hear how Details Dave is doing. Haven't seen that agent in a long time, His Chevy Caprice back on the road (the car that got stolen then recovered?)
Good to see Dean back
Yah! Dean is back!! I think I can smell the fall in the air!!
Dean should take his car to the junkyard and maybe in 20 years Scott will buy it and fix it lol! Hang in there Dean
You have some Great friends! Keep them, they're rare!
At least the Nash has a few good parts on it. 👍😎 I can’t believe that Frankers is 7 already. I remember when you first got her and Stella will never be forgotten.
Happy birthday 🎂 Frankers🎉😊❤❤
Nice hot day out on the test porch. The Kaiser keeps getting better. A Nash Statesman for the collection is great. Now you need a Nash Healey. All these projects are great. Tom's wisdom is invaluable. Thank you Scott and agent's for all your hard work. Menace dog is having fun with the squirrels. Happy Birthday Franker's! Have a fantastic weekend everyone.
Brian sings, "Are you ready Steve? Andy? Mick? Well alright fellas, let's go!" Sweet. Oh and happy Birthday Frankers.
The Packard Clipper!!! Back on the road!
Ash, you've got the responsibility to train the next generation of Agents. You're a good friend
Kaiser deserves a bit of TLC to make it a daily driver 😎
Blue Coral. My dad's favourite! I can't remember how many cars/weekends I spent rubbing that stuff on and off his cars when I was young in the early-mid sixties!
I had a Ember Red 63 Impala that would get "oxidized" every couple of years. NOTHING would bring that red back to "unclouded" pure even color under fluorescent lights except "Blue Coral". Too young and poor at that time to own a polisher, my arms would take a week to recover every time!!!
You really pushed through the week…Lots of work completed. Yea-haw! Your Honey-Bunny is a helpful mechanic. Congrats! Thanks for the good show boss.
* Tom In A Speedo Hood Surfing The Kaiser At 50 MPH Down The Highway Would Be Hilarious !!! 👊🤣👍 BS Keith borrowed that "Sweet" T-shirt. Brian Connolly, Steve Preist, Mick Tucker, Andy Tucker. I named my personal strain of smoke "Boulevard Blitz" ! 😤 Great to have Dean back !!!
I'll have to toss a coin on which cars would go back on the road. While I'm more an AMC and Ford fan, there's something about a Packard I really like. Plus I think your '58 Studebaker has gobs of potential.
OK, where's a 50 cent piece so I can make my choice?
Yay! Dean is back!
Starting off the "Polishing the Turd" segment, where we make a dull poopy into a shiny fresh poopy! lol
That Kaiser engine started nice…. Not too bad for something that was “yard art” not too long ago.
And the white block Volvo gets some love finally! My ‘96 960 is a favorite of mine.
61 Plymouth for the collection.
Hi guys, another great show ! Love the Kaiser and Nash bits. Always a treat to watch you guys and happy birthday Frankers and thanks to Hunny Bunny, you are so lucky Scott. As always best wishes to all there and Cheers from Illinois ( your flathead Ford fan).
Henry J would be proud of you!
The Kaiser looks even better again.
Yes, yes...Nash!
Hey guys, great upload. Very nostalgic my gram and grampa had a Nash in Saskatoon. Always thought them odd looking. Cheers!
That Nash you just got is too far gone to restore but it’s got a lot of good parts left. Hopefully you dug around in the ground where the the trunk area was. There might be hidden parts or treasures there. My vote is to do the 1950 Buick next. I hope Myles has a fun and safe trip. I’ve been watching your videos for years and I can’t believe Frankers is already Seven. Time flies. I always look forward to seeing your videos every week. Cheers to you and all the agents!
Saturday Afternoon, Molson Time And CWM! Kaiser Looks great! Being A Mopar Nut, I Vote For Any Mopar, 61 Plymouth,And The 50' plodge Get My Vote! Thanks For Another Great Afternoon, Repaint The Kaisers Roof Tan! That Would be Enough Restoration!
Isn't it a lot of work to capitalize every letter like some old timey newspaper? Just capitalize the first letter of the first word and call it good
I vote for the 1958 Studebaker Commander Hardtop.
Good choice, Richard! Cheers from here...
You should put 2 NASH fronts together, DEAN wouldn't know if he was coming or going, great video, can't wait for CLAYTONS !
Again, I loved the show today! I hope you film all of the teardown of the new Nash and the rebuild of the Chevy engine. I used to do all these things when I was young. I miss it so. Thanks for sharing all your car stuff!
Dean's back! Missed him.
Volvo is getting some TLC ❤, it will make a great winter car!!
Finally the Volvo gets the love it deserves, very nice car
The amount of stuff getting done lately at CWM is inspiring. I'm selling or tossing things I don't want and getting stacks and piles organized on shelves. Now I can see my garage floor again!
Wrong Scott. YOU own that Nash not that innocent family! Good to see Dean, I’ve missed that guy. 🍺🍺
The Sweet! RIP Brian!!
5 points!
@@keithmcintyre6403 LOL! was my favorite band! They were way ahead of their time imho!
Dean is on a whole other level 😂
Possibly with tiger feet 😏
I had a Volvo 965 until my daughter wrote it off one night on an icy road in Waterloo ON... while my wife and were celebrating "Notsoberfest" at a beer hall. One of my favourite cars ever. Superb engine!
Notsoberfest. HA
It definitely looks a lot happier with a good polish haha
I think so too!
2 or 3 latex gloves then a cable tie over a trans output shaft is my go-to Scott 😉
Alright thanks for another great video and hello everyone and a very Happy Birthday to FRANKERS so glad you got the Nash for parts for the other one so great to see dean back and my thanks to all the guys that help you Scott loved the video.😊👍✌❤🍺 cheers
Hi James! Cheers from everyone here...
You know I want the Plaza back on the road!
If not restored, the Kaiser should probably be made roadworthy.....you have too many good ones ahead of it, though...
The Kaiser is almost a town car it looks great Love the old Citroens Myles should try some modern ones, mine is nice, now to watch some fast cars then brakes on an old Hillman. Great show as usual.
We don't care about the dents. Make it a runner and driver. Give making it🎉 a show piece! Just make it as presentable as possible. Enjoy the moment. As far as another car to do, have Tom pick one and dedicate that car to Tom.
Busy, busy, busy. Glad you could salvage a few items from the field find Nash. Just an ambitious list of things to do. Great job and Happy Birthday Frankers
I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.
I vote for the 50 (or is it 51) Plymouth for completely sentimental reasons. My Dad's first "2nd car" was a 50 Plymouth. I stepped on the "running board" after he said don't step on it (I forgot - a 5 yr old after all). He bought it out of NY and took it back to Paris Island.
Love that loader tractor! I'm looking forward to when that salmon colored 59 Chrysler gets running. I see that the 283 and PowerGlide are from a 63 or newer car. It originally had a cast iron Power glide, and there wasn't anything wrong with those. Glad your reusing the 283 engine, we ran them for decades and never had one fail! The fuel mileage between the 235 -6 and the 283 wasn't much different, but the V8 could easily run at interstate speeds where the 6 was straining to try to keep up.
Happy birthday, Frankers, from Shyla and me. Such a good girl 😊
The 1947 Chrysler that's neat
Another throughly entertaining episode! You folks covered a lot of ground and subject matter on this one! Hunnybunny’s camera skills and angles are so fine! Have great week folks!
The Kaiser gets my vote for getting plated. Would make a nice friend for the Fraze. They can be the Corry / Trevor of the lot.
Lots of forward progress on many projects today. Sweet T shirt appearance and always good to see Dean. Great show, thanks to all the agents involved! Cheers! 😎👍🏎🏁🏁
Yeah the Kaiser is pretty! Would be nice if restored but after the SM!
My choice is the 59 Chrysler. Reason is because my first car was a 59 Chrysler. Second choice would be the 50 Plymouth Coupe. I really like the styling of those.
Greetings to Scott and all Agents, Thumbs up to Agent 2K ! And a Howling Happy Birthday to the Sweet and Sassy Miss Frankers ! Steak for Her I hope. Cheers !
Framers is 7 !! My how time flies? Speaking of I had so Derek about the Volvo ? Geeez,I can not believe how long I've been watching this show.
Cheers!
The t-shirt band... The Sweet? Just a wild guess.
Hard to believe how nice that Kaiser turned out... never would've imagined seeing it run, drive and shine when it was picked up from the junkyard so many years ago. Cheers!
5 points
Yay!
Greeting from a long time follower and a guy that has had 15 Volvos over the last 60 years. The 3 litre inline six is a keeper and your S90 is much more than a "winter beater". Many of them had a limited slip rear diff. Get some Hakkapeliitta, or Michelin X-Ice SNOWS. Not some old crap that you usually drive around on. I'm envious!
Happy birthday Frankers! Have a great trip Myles. Thanks as always Scott, see you Thursday.
For what it's worth, I really like the Kaiser. It's a really unique car from a period of otherwise really ordinary cars.
