Awesome! It's alive! Love the smiles when she fired (must confess, I was smiling like crazy too)! What a fantastic piece of preserved Henry steel! Go Iron Trap, keep moving forward!
U F B!!! LOVE THAT 34!!! Thought I saw that the Water Pump (Drivers Side Wasn't Turning)??? 🤷♂. How COOL is that Delivery.. OMG. I just Love that thing.
That is a true jewel! Worth whatever it needs. If it goes up for sale, look out, I could be robbing something! lol Serious! A 34 Delivery? Truly a to die for car, at least to me. Wish I seen this soon as posted. In hospital so missed it. Sucks being old. Congrats Matt!
Boy over the years you guys sure have come up with some very unique cars that have great history and tell her story. I was surprised about the station wagon but you will have this one up and gone before no time!
Yes sir, there is another project for Steve. Getting the wiring squared away and all of the other issues will certainly keep him busy. I really like that styling on the front ends of those mid-thirties Fords.🥸👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Always amazed that a car sitting for all those years can run. Looking forward to the finished project. Also, nice OSHP hat, I graduated from OSHP academy in 1987 and no I wasn't a trooper.
I'm totally on board with the plans for this car you outlined at the end of the video! Great winter project that will be very interesting to watch. Thanks for sharing it!
I didn't think the '38 Vert could ever be shifted from my #1 favorite spot on this channel, yet here we are with the '34 Sedan Delivery. 😍 At first I thought it'd be wicked cool to see it painted up like Big Red, but if y'all can recover the original paint job underneath the primer that'd look even better. Oh, and y'all can add me to the list of folks saying "please don't rip off the fenders THIS TIME, Matt..." 🤣
This one is definitely an interesting truck and worth every penny that needs to be put into it. Going with your trend to not do paint work, this needs to be cleaned up and hit with Shine Juice or something that preserves the paint as is. If anything is worthy of being a shop truck, this is it! DON"T overdo it. These wheels and tires give it a great look. If you eventually want to add Iron Trap Garage on the side panels or the doors, the lettering a logos can't look like fresh paint. They need to be "aged" accordingly. Letting, yes. Graphics, not necessarily.
Matt hello. Many years ago I had installed a used flathead engine that had a stuck valve. One of our guys father removed the spark plug and while idling stuck a large flat screwdriver in and with a hammer closed the stuck valve. This was repeated a few times until the valve no longer stuck and operated properly. Bob
I’m really glad you guys don’t destroy every vehicle you get , this Sedan Delivery is such a choice piece!! I have a’66C-20 , have had it for 44 years, I am looking for a 396 , it has a 350 with a turbo 350 behind it , full floater 456 rear end , cool old rig , Iran it a handful of times at the ANTIQUE DRAGS at Carlsbad Raceway, cool fun . You guys do great work!! MLNR JIMMY53
@@IronTrapGarage This truck would be a great addition to Bird's Surf SHED's shop vehicles so let me know if or when it might come up for purchase. I currently have two 1939 Ford trucks and a 1951 Country Squire. All brought back out of long term hibernations. All are in original condition. I get them up and running real well then clean up the vehicle as much as possible. They get used regularly!
Come on Matt when you gonna hot rod it ? Guards off lower it ,fatter wheels , hydraulics, chop 4 inches , cycle guards, big 400 hp donk 4 exhausts it’s gonna look good , really.
2-4 years work and 4-6X final value in another car that will get driven 200 miles a year for 5 years then just sit in the dark? There are already literally millions of expensive impractical cars like that the kids are just going to toss after we die. Matt's got it right, have fun building usable affordable artifacts.
* Ah Soittenly !!! Curly Would Say ! Yes sir always good to see professionals at work. All jokes aside, great to see the old gal moving under her own power. Till the next time. Cheers 🍺🤛😎👍
That exhaust backfire at the end was downright comical, like a cartoon scene!
Haha so true!
I can totally see this one getting the ITG logo like Big Red has. It’s a keeper!
If your smile on this one get's any bigger, you will trip over it! Awesome find. If it backfired once it was a great find- twice! and it's gold!
Awesome! It's alive! Love the smiles when she fired (must confess, I was smiling like crazy too)! What a fantastic piece of preserved Henry steel! Go Iron Trap, keep moving forward!
Thanks again!
My screen was not wide enough for Matts smile.
It needs an Iron Trap logo and to become the gasket getter for local runs, great truck!
Luv that sound, Takesme back to my fun in the eraly 50s when they sold for less than $100.00
Very cool. I could just stare at a survivor 34 like this all day.
Lots of memories of starting flatheads and more to come.Great job and a beautiful sedan delivery! Thanks for the video
Thanks Frank! We’re having a lot of fun!
U F B!!! LOVE THAT 34!!! Thought I saw that the Water Pump (Drivers Side Wasn't Turning)??? 🤷♂. How COOL is that Delivery.. OMG. I just Love that thing.
It didn’t beat you !! Can’t wait for the up graded bits to go into it 👌
LOVE THIS ONE! What a GREAT Find.

This will be an awesome shop delivery hot rod. A lot of work but a small raked chop would look good, like 1/2" at the back and 1" up front.
Are you crazy? Why would you ruin a Classic Antique car chopping it up? Leave it original. 👨🏻🦳👍
Deliveries are cool.
The sedan delivery is my new favorite!
A thing of beauty. Now the work begins. Bring out the wallet.
Love all your cars but this 34' SD is the bee's knee's. Excited to follow it's progress throughout the fall and winter.
There are a bunch of things this delivery needs, but I hope a decent rake and a set of bigs 'n' littles makes the list!
On it!
Good stuff !! Probably my favorite body style no matter what era.
Mine too although I've been a '32 Ford guy for decades, the '34 Fords are so cool 😎.
Looking forward to seeing what ITG has got in mind for this gem.
Loving the panel Matt! Great job getting it running so quickly! Look forward to future progress on this one! CONGRATS!
Thanks a bunch!
best thing about this vid is that Kate made an appearance ! WooHoo !
Always amazed that a car sitting for all those years can run. Looking forward to the finished project. Also, nice OSHP hat, I graduated from OSHP academy in 1987 and no I wasn't a trooper.

Fenders stay on this one
Dude!!! Fun video!!! That ride will be fun to driver to your local swap meets!!! Maybe a two speed rear end for longer trips!!??✌️
That would be cool!

Very nice car. Worth the work you will puy into it!
Satisfying vid. Cool car!
Some million dollar smiles there. Sounds like a great plan.😊
It's alive but needs some more attention and it moves 😅❤
That is one sweet car!!
hey guys. the 34 is sinister looking! just as it is. wish i had one.
Give it a little Bardahl top oil and loosen those rings up so they can reseat. 👍
I'm lovin' Steve's new look with every episode.
Love the delivery. That backfire at the end reminds me of "Uncle Buck's" car, lol!!!
Haha it does!

Matt wearing his Sunday T-shirt I see 😂😂
What Fun!!
I hope the new wheel will match the red ones that are on it. Thanks
Bom trabalho caras parabéns.
love this car ,love this show, thanks
Good job!
If you rinse the dirt and dust off before putting it in the shop it will run better...👍...or maybe not...🤣
Definitely keep as a sleeper stock hotrod. Front license plate "OLD SMOKEY " 😂
call the 34 sinister! cause its badass!
Test drive, successful now to repower
A rare Kate sighting! Her jalopy comment was hilarious! Pretty crazy how complete and how good of shape its in. Cool stuff Matt!
Thanks for watching
Very cool
That backfire 😂
fun session, nice shirt...
“Chitty Chitty Bang Bang"
Relatively easy start. Sketchy test drive. Blows some smoke. Plans made.
Looks almost purple in that light
What a cool car !
Great candidate for a restomod … maybe electro.
Awesome to see the old girl run even if she was belching and spitting.

Did you put Marvel Mystery Oil in the crank case, that might help free up the valves that are sticking
I seen video of Steve hosing the engine bay with no engine in it already.
will you rebuild it or replace it?
Don’t bugger it up it’s a rare one,you won’t find another !
My favorite👍👍
Such a cool old rig
The smile on Matts face at the 16 minute mark says it all !
Haha this is real fun!

are flatheads harder to work on than overhead engines
In some respects yes. In others no

Backfiring through the carburetor means a valve or rocker arm looose
No rocker arms on a Flathead..

OHV & T5.
There is nothing more satisfying then when a motor comes to life.
Please leave these red spoke wheels on the car with new tires....
Too late.
I'm curious about the fate of the 29 shop truck.
we’ve mentioned it a few times. It got sold last year
Please resist the urge to remove the front and rear wheel fenders. It's magnificent as it stands.
Oh they will have to "dickhead" it, its boobtube
This car is keeping the fenders, hood, and bumpers
“ Him and a friend bought it”?
Every time I see this thing I expect booze and gangsters to pour out of the back.
In 60 years time will it still be as possible to do this? Cars were much more sustainable back in the day.
There will not be any of today's cars on the road in 90 years
