I'll be honest, I only watched this video from about 3:07:30, give or take, to the finish. It looked so much closer on the original broadcast. But watching this, you can see SVG clearly pulling away. It really wasn't even close.
First Nascar entered the 24 hour of Le mans. There car was a fan favorite and gave them big recognition. Now nascar just raced in the streets of people who arent nascar fans watching. And they just witnessed history with Shanes win. Not only that but people in New Zealand and Australia will see that nascar can actually be a fun sport to watch. Nascar is making the right moves to grow not just in America, but worldwide as well.
As a race fan that doesn’t watch NASCAR I enjoyed the racing once they got passed some of the issues early on with cars going into walls every 6 turns or so. If the weather was good and the whole race was like the end I would consider watching it more. The issue I have is I never enjoy watching ovals even with Indy car I skip all those races and that is most of what NASCAR is. Not saying they change their series for the outsiders. But I know I am not alone in that feeling and would be hard to overcome.
