The gym in the clip is a sport muaythai gym. Many Maemai and Loogmai muaythai are still in use, not exclusive to muay boran. The gym does not clarify which line of muay boran it is teaching.

Lol. Lots of misinformation. Muay boran thrives on myth and lore. If you like charm of ancient, go for it. However, if you want something that is really efficient, then modern sport muaythai is the obvious choice.

No misinformation about it. Muay Thai is a sport that can be used for defence, boran is purely self defence and combat.

@@Abrightdivinelight Lol! Where can you find a dojo with sensei that has real fight experience at professional level competitions? Muay boran is stagnant, with no improvement to keep up with modern progress in modern self defense.

The human body never changes. There's two arms and two legs. There's nothing modern that can't be bettered by the old styles.

@@Abrightdivinelight You don't understand fighting. Two most important factors are distance and fight rhythm. Without real fight experience, muay boran teacher will not will not be able to pass on these two important fight experience to the students. As said on the clip, Maemai are the fundamental moves in muaythai. Both muay boran and modern sport muaythai em[loy these moves. Modern sport muaythai has progressed by leaps and bounds. Muay boran will be destroyed by modern sport muaythai clinch at close quarter. My first muaythai teacher was Abhidej Sithirun, a legend sport muaythai fighter in his days. With all respects, even in his prime. he would be defeated by high ranking fighters of modern sport muaythai. So much progress has been achieved. You can be stubborn to these real facts. Have it your way.

I know more about fighting than you realize. I know the difference between sport and self defence. I know what works and what doesnt. I'm not being rude or disrespectful. My opinion differs from yours, that's all.
