You are a genius. The whole thing looks like an actual pub. I'm building a new home and I'm incorporating a home "speakeasy" is a hidden room on the main floor. I'm going for a 1920s theme, and without the internet i'd be lost on this project. Again great work!
You have done a magnificent job on your Pub.. Fantastic craftsmanship and the design couldn't be any better for the space you have.. I've seen lots of guys try to build a bar into their home space and it just somehow falls short, the design has to be perfect and can't cut corners.. Your ceiling color, flooring, wall color and art are perfect. I've added on a 500sq ft. room to handle my antique bar and I love having it at home. Congratulations on the job... Pete

Thank you to everyone for all the excellent comments and encouragement, it was a labor of love, sweat, and tears. My family and I moved from here a year ago. It was not easy letting go but knew we were moving on to bigger and better things, especially for my kids. My new basement is double the size of this one and I will be starting the construction very soon. I haven’t decided the theme yet but have a few to choose from so stay tuned for more videos

So roughly 250ft2 of ceiling plus electrical wires and ductwork took about 5 hours. Make sure you cover everything you dont want paint on. The particles go everywhere. The sprayer works so much better because it covers spots the brush wont get to, like 1/4 spaces between the floor boards above.
@jkbnoble Thank you. The room is not that big only about 18 wide by about 28 long not including the laundry room. The bar, back bar, bathroom, laundry room were already finished as i completed them a few years ago. So pretty much about 7 1/2 months to complete.

Sorry so late with this. I started to paint the ceiling and almost shot myself because it took too long to do one joist. My joists are old so it's not the usual, smoother 2x you get from home depot. it's rough sawn. So I went to home depot and bought a wagner sprayer for about 35 bucks. The best money for the job I ever spent.
@jag10 Thanks. I'm a jerk of all trades master of absolutely nothing. All the stain on the walls and trim is minwax polyshades bombay mahogany gloss, about 2-3 coats to get it dark then 2 coats of minwax helmsman spar urethane satin. As far as the "entrance" window and "outside" trim before you get "into the pub" is just a stealth black paint.
This is the coolest cosiest looking bar I've ever seen...& I see "The Irish Brigade" are on the wall of fame there too ;) Where is this?? Any chance of a gig??! :D

COuld you let me know where you got that side table with the divider? I am using you and Joe as an inspiration from my own room and would really like to add something similar to that side table
They are both made out of 2x12 framing like a wall with smooth 3/4 inch plywood sides and top, bolted to the concrete floor and walls. Then trimmed with 1x4's The colorful stained glass was a family heirloom, I guess. The other one I found online. They have corbels I got from HD for trim decoration. Hope that helps. Good luck
