When Henrik Henriks, he Henriks all over the place and I'm obsessed with him. He's become one of my favorite musicians ever. Cory Wong and everyone he surrounds himself with regarding who he plays with are top-notch. They do not miss...ever.
As a horn player (like me) you know exactly how hard it is to pull off those fast, tight horn pops and runs. These guys are insanely good. Not a mediocre one in the group.
This is all I could ever ask of a reaction video. Starts with an incredible musical offering, sprinkled with knowledgeable comments and genuine emotional enthusiasm...perfection! Just a great offering to all of us fans. Thanks!
Henrik’s insane subdivisions, sextuplets, popping and slapping all over the place-, but still so clean! As is everyone else’s playing! It’s a piece I keep on coming back to again and again… I know you’ve done a few Dirty Loops reactions, Bob, but still would love to see more of them from you. Your appreciation of this band and their collaborations is so infectious! 😉💥🔥
Not so much to say but always have a big smile on my face when listening to this groovy music! 😃 I really like and appreciate that you comment on the horn section. Not many do and I like to get your insight and learn from it!
I love the love and RESPECT of Dirty Loops. How they honour their fellow musicians. How they take turns and share. This seems light but its really deep. A lesson in brotherhood and joy. I understand not everyone is comfort intellactualizing this, but it is.

One good thing about good reaction videos (at least DL ones) is the positive to very positive comments, and no other comments! Great reaction by the way, thank you!
Bob - note that towards the end of his sax solo, Holemen plays the same riff in 3 octaves consecutively. I can play a lot of singular notes in the altissimo range, but to play full riffs (proficiently, smoothly) up there is always amazing to me. And since you mentioned it - Henrik is IMO one of the baddest bass players on the planet right now.
SergeantFunkDan that’s awesome that you can play up there. It’s not easy to get a good sound that high. I agree with you that playing full riffs up there is just showing how much if a beast you are. That dude is amazing! Henrik is the baddest bass player for sure. I’ve heard some great ones but I don’t think Henrik has any limitations. He seems to be able to play anything.
All of it was incredible! The musicianship of all these instruments is over the top. During the sax solo, the quick trumpet pops and Aaron’s snare rolls inline with the horns is awe inspiring!!! Hendricks bass playing is the best in the modern era. You have to be a musician to understand how difficult this is to appreciate it. Excellent reaction!
Great reaction! :-) Keep them coming please - quite a lot of Dirty Loops to check out! To me "Hit me" is special as it is so pure and direct! But hey, so many fantastic songs here! Greetings from the motherland.
Hahaha, I knew you'd like this one. There are four more instrumentals on that album, and they're all just as good. Ring of Saturn has a video (on Cory's channel), but Hästråtta, Zap, and Hardtop are just sound. If you ask me, Hästråtta is the best track on that whole album. Go listen to it! :D
Yes very impressive! When I checked out these guy's I discovered that they had gotten the attention of one David foster and quincy jones..nuff said....
I knew about Quincy from the first video I did when someone mentioned him in a comment. I didn’t know about David Foster. Those are two amazing people. Talent knows talent.
If you are impressed by horns - this is fair. The trombonist is the guy that arranged the horn section for Prince. No wonder this is good. And if you are impressed by the sax player - check out the paisley park session. He is playing two saxes at one time.
You love Hendricks, you'll love Alain Caron, the bassist of a defunct Jazz Trio named «UZEB». You will *never* hear a tighter rythm section (bass / drums), as demonstrated here : th-cam.com/video/iY6Fgda55NQ/w-d-xo.html Uzeb was a canadian jazz band. They started with four, but became soon a trio. The trio's instruments were all MIDI-linked, which at the time was a novelty. At the beginning, they were «only» virtuoso-level. But with the years they had more than vocabulary and grammar : they had stories to tell. One of my favorite bands. Their second to last concert filled the Olympic Stadium of Montreal. They recorded their last concert : th-cam.com/video/qkZOQNXpfPg/w-d-xo.html
Wait 'til you see him playing this huge 7-stringed fretless bass of his. [chuckle] If you see the whole concert, you'll be able to notice that the three guys use their instruments to use synths through MIDI.

I love the way you said that. When Henrik Henriks. That’s right on the money. Thanks for watching and commenting! I truly appreciate it.
You must hear "Direct Flyte" from Cory Wong... Same horn section (almost), just so incredibly tight and funky.
Just when you thought life couldn't get any better!

Yep so true Jeff. Thanks for watching and commenting!
This is my favorite song on the album.

Oh man thanks so much Robot! Your kind words mean a lot. Thanks for watching I really appreciate you!

Thanks for the kind words fiddlestix! I am planning on more. There are several others people have suggested.

Thanks Petra for the kind words and for taking the time to comment and watch. I appreciate you for doing that.

Colab of the year

Thanks for watching Ingmar! I appreciate the kind words and that you took the time to comment.
What I really like in particular is that, they look like they are on the same stage.....but they are actually in different countries!
I know technology is so crazy today.

Thanks! Henrik is a favorite of mine. Man I wish I could play half as good as he can.
Haleluja moment✨
Great reaction! :-) Keep them coming please - quite a lot of Dirty Loops to check out! To me "Hit me" is special as it is so pure and direct! But hey, so many fantastic songs here! Greetings from the motherland.
It's a little The Brecker Brothers over the horn section. Might be an inspiration. Great reaction!
Yeah that’s a great connection you made there. Thanks for watching!
Why isn’t this played on Top 40 Radio?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
When everyone in the room is the best musician!
🤘😃👍
For sure Duser. That is the truth. Three of the baddest dudes in the planet.
You can really hear that Michael from the Hornheads wrote parts for Prince in this one. Super cool bebop inspired stuff.
Yeah super cool for sure. They are all beasts on their respective instruments.
I really enjoyed your reaction! I can’t wait for your reaction to Dirty loops “ next to you’ !!! I had a religious experience, I think you will too !
Thanks I’ve got that on the list. I appreciate you watching!
You also have to a reaction to ziljjon live festering Nikkie Glaspie and Gost note band. They have a horn line that will leave you speechless!!!
This is like Tower of Power on STEROIDS!!!!!
Spot on!! 💥👊🏻
Abso-friggin-lutely!!!
That is a great observation and sooo right.
Great reaction👏
Thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it!
Aron is the king of the snare rolls!
Among other things.

Can we all agree the sax solo was sexy, note for note.
For sure.
It’s as if Tower of Power has been modernized!
Thankyou for reacting to "Turbo"! It made me nearly as happy as the first time I heard it myself, your enthusiasm is infectious!
Thanks Sophia for those kind words. I truly appreciate you for that.
Yes very impressive! When I checked out these guy's I discovered that they had gotten the attention of one David foster and quincy jones..nuff said....

aaron has such a great pocket it’s literally insane
It really is Avery. He is just always there and never loses it. That is insane.
Turbo is Henrik's album
For sure. Thanks for watching!
the album turbo is great collab album, I wish they show Hardtop music video , because that's my favourite track from that album :)
Such a fantastic collab for sure. Maybe the best of thr year.
T.O.P on steroids...Henrick is a beast bass player...I need to hear theses guys live.
Me too I hope they come to the us particularly Pittsburgh

Thanks for the great info Jacek! I’ll check it out.
Kenni COOKS! Thanks Bob!

Wow dude those guys are incredible. Love the slap the bass player was laying down. They sure got some chips. Geez. Thanks!

If you think this one was fun... try "Bitten By The Kitten".
Dam that was fun, I am going home tonight and putting Nucleus- Alleycat on the turntable.
That song just is so stinking good. Three of the baddest musicians in the planet.
The BASS was created so Henrik would play it! He is THE MASTER!!!!
Man you are right about that.
Check out these transcripts: th-cam.com/video/YmJ0A2MGGi8/w-d-xo.html
Pick up the pieces vibes. Check out the live version with Brecker
You should check out “Fame” cover by Tim Akers and the Smoking Section
¡¡¡¡¡uffffff!!!!
Is it even safe and/or legal for a group of musicians to play this tight?
No I don’t think it is.
A little "Average White Band" influence maybe?
Hey that’s a good one Jeff. I didn’t think of it but you have a great point.
