Im currently doing a taster course with Eric, he is a great craftsman and a great instructor. Fair play for the shout out. I'm really enjoying the videos.
This was great to watch, thank you for explaining the scale exploding off on that first strike. For some reason my favorite component was the legs, and the whole thing came together wonderfully.
I was working on just such a trivet for my Mother when she unexpectedly passed. I didn’t finish it, and haven’t made one since. Nonetheless, thank you for the vid as it reminded me of Mum.❤
If you can’t make the tool, you ARE the tool! Best comment to date …. Incredible work! Eion sent me here! G’day from Australia.
I’m also here from Eion and also an Aussie 🙂 (Tasmania to be precise)
"Fire welding" awesome
Absolutely beautiful! Getting those spirals to look even remotely similar is no easy task, well done!
That’s a gorgeous piece, nicely done.
Thank you! 😄

That looks amazing. It amazes me how soft hard metal becomes when at temperature. Thanks for explaining the the sparks when you shake the hot metal.
Beautiful work, James. That's a wonderful piece you've made, there..
An excellent video. Beautiful trivet, kind of spooky, for want of a better word.
Glad you enjoyed it 😄🔥
This is a fantastic looking piece and the craftsmanship is really dialed in with the design, all came together great
Thanks for chatting this morning. Your stuff looks just as good in person.

Much appreciated!🔥🔥🔥

Chews on the hot metal like taffy
Love it 😂
Did this come out the same week as Hellblade II on purpose or was that just a coincidence?
Total coincidence! Unless the universe had it planned 😆
Fantastic work, fair play! Did you use a flux for the forge weld or can it be done without?
No flux need to weld mild steel or wrought! 🙂
@@oconnorblacksmith TIL. Thanks
