It's "what a good exhaust system on a 1000cc bike sounds like", that's the word you're looking for. Something you'd never hear on a literbike modded in the US, because they 98% of the time run their bikes pretty much straight piped and they're always too loud. "too loud" meaning your ears bleed before you can even hear any character from the bike.
Even the regular exhaust sounds like a Ferrari GTO, when flogged. After having ridden on and thoroughly rinsed my ears with its noise, I asked myself how can one get good gas mileage, or keep his/her license with such a symphony at the ready 🤣
I have one of these "2021 S1000XR Sport"... I love it! I also have other bikes now and had a lot of bikes in 35 years riding, but this one is probably the most complete... it goes fast, comfortable seating position (I'm 50 🙄) and when I want to tour, I just put the panniers and the top case on and it does that great too! Hi Schaaf, thanks for the vid. Sorry if you covered it already somewhere, but I would like to ask about your opinion about the suspension. How does it handle bad roads compared to the GS? Just to understand my question better, I had an S1000R (Euro3), which was rock hard in soft mode and now have the R1250GS, which is very good on that front. I just miss the inline 4 engine. Thanks in advance.
@@matsrekdal3065 I rode this and own a Gen 1, I had a Multistrada 1260 for a longer trip (around 500 miles) and this is what I observed: XR handles waaaaaaaaay better, it's engine is a lot smoother and more powerful, the quickshifter on the XR is butter smooth and still plenty torquey, it's also much lighter than the 1260. I've been looking at MT07 and MT09. What would be best for a keeper a bike? Continue with your bangers, this XR sounds like a monster! Cheers.
Hi Schaaf! Great video as usual, huge fan of your content (I used to fantasize about the F900XR until I got it thanks to watching your footage in Spain again and again). I looked over the tons of videos you have and other than the questions and answers (which I saw briefly but didn't find anything related either) I fail to find a video about your gear. How do you get such clean exhaust sound without the wind? This might as well be one of the keys to your channel so if it's confidential information, I understand. Keep it up! ✌️✌️
Thanks for the video. That machine sounds awesome. And you always have to best roads to ride on. I'd have to ride a few hours away from home to find a twisty road like that.
What a sound! Changes the bike! I'm already looking to order one. If you would be so kind, I have two questions: 1. Are you using an exhaust valve suppressor? 2. Do the cases fit with this exhaust? Bos says they do not, but I don't really see why would that be. The RR model seems about the same size and sits at the same hight. Thank you!
Because most quickshifters work by cutting ignition for a split second therefore a small amount of unburnt fuel goes into the exhaust. That's why you get a nice little pop (or even a loud crack if you have a full exhaust system) when using them and why they sound so good.
Servus Schaaf! Was meinst du ehrlichweise dazu?
LG.
Wow X infinity. Can you make a comparison between this, the V2 multistrada and the V4 multistrada? I mean, this seems to win the sound category, hands down but Ducati is Italian...
@@Schaaf not really. you were a lot more into it in this video. the other videos were fast, but you "roll" into throttle way too much compared to this video... you might be riding at high speeds, but the way you are getting up to that speed is a lot better in this video. idk how to explain it better.

LG.
Do you can describe diference between Akrapovic (sport model) & this Bos in live :)
not much actually
@@Schaaf Thanks! Then i would spare 800€ :) It is too bad that they get on EU5
My favorite bike ✌️ thanks that was an amazing video
Glad you liked it!
Hope BMW fix the blurry screen bug above 120km/h ;)
Nice bike
;)
Wow X infinity.
Can you make a comparison between this, the V2 multistrada and the V4 multistrada?
I mean, this seems to win the sound category, hands down but Ducati is Italian...
The V4 is the best bike by far
I LOVE that BMW⚡💙
me too
that inline 4 look smoother than Honda. But what mode are u using, the rpm kinda up not as fast as i expect for a BWM
That's the XR, it has zero torque down low
What an amazing channel, I love ❤️ it.
Thanks
What a screamer!
I wish BMW would do something half way between this and the S1000rr.
Think a more traditional sports tourer, not an adv styled one.
Yea
H2SX, trust me.....
Thank's to hear this
welcome
I got a '18 XR with a stock exhaust that sounds amazing for stock, but this one..mmmmh. :>
Aweosme!
you need to do more of this "high rev" driving style
Most of my videos are like that I guess
@@Schaaf not really. you were a lot more into it in this video. the other videos were fast, but you "roll" into throttle way too much compared to this video... you might be riding at high speeds, but the way you are getting up to that speed is a lot better in this video. idk how to explain it better.
