Breakfast Shack: New-to-Carnival Breakfast Restaurant Introduced on Carnival Firenze!

- Breakfast is an important meal and the food exploration begins with the first meal of the day on board the Carnival Firenze with the discovery of Breakfast Shack! We’ve heard that Seafood Shack has an alternate personality for lunch serving up Chicken Shack and all of those amazing dishes, well Seafood Shack also features some fresh new options for breakfast under the new branded name.
The expanded menu has a lot to offer from omelets to breakfast biscuit sandwiches to eggs benedicts and French toast. We were definitely excited to see this new offering on the Carnival Firenze and just had to try some of the food for you!
Upon placing my order, it was apparent that this was a very similar experience to Shaq’s Big Chicken. They had similar breakfast sandwiches available and what’s better - those delicious French fries that we love!

With all the bad reviews on the Venezia about the lines, crowds for food venues and especially the lido, they seemed to listen and add some venues to disperse the crowds a little. Even though the chicken wings are extra I love that idea, the deli/meatball place on deck 11, adding the salads on the serenity and the new empanada place where on the Venezia it was just an empty venue wasting space when we were on it. I applaud them for adding these places on this ship, big upgrade from the Venezia!
It is awesome to see how they listened and evolved, for sure! We got the chance to speak with the head of design and several employees about the changes and they 100% listened to feedback and evolved the concept to make it even better. It absolutely shows. We are in love with our newest West Coast ship!!

The French toast looks like the 12 hr French toast from the seaday brunch.

We are booked here for Thanksgiving coz that is the only time Firenze is sailing out on a 3 night cruise. We have a Terrazza Aft and was wondering if the perks like sea day brunch in the steakhouse and continental breakfast in Moda are still included.
You are going to have a fantastic time! There are multiple perks still included with a Terrazza cabin, including the private space, a private breakfast, and some surprises thrown in along the way. Our friends sailed for the inaugural and shared they are testing out a couple things (like table service instead of continental breakfast) so I don’t want to steer you wrong as things may change by the time you sail later this year. We will keep you posted on what we learn this sailing as we’ve got several friends in Terrazza. Curious to see what tweaks they’ve already made!
I noticed that you had some French toast. So I looked back at the menu, but I noticed it was not listed there. How did you get the French toast? Thank you so much for these informative videos.
It doesn’t look like my response posted the first time; apologies for the delay! They alternate between French Toast and Pancakes during the morning hours when it is Breakfast Shack. Some days you’ll find that delicious French toast and other days it’s the pancakes (which are just ok). Hope you enjoyed all the food on board!! -m

It most certainly is! And quite delicious, too.
How do you feel with the sauna room? Like is that big enough for you guys? I wonder if Vista class ( this is still can count as Vista class) has the biggest independent sauna/steam room.
By the way, the picture you showed on Venezia looks good for me? Is that a charged co-ed spa area?
@@yushengwixoss the sauna on Carnival Firenze is ample. It’s a different layout from the Vista but still available to all cruisers. We think the largest spa area that’s accessible to all passengers is on the Spirit-class of ships. Love those amenities.

Great question. Breakfast Shack is open from 8am-10:30am. Then it closes and reopens as Chicken Shack from noon until 2:30pm. Seafood Shack is open from 3:30pm-10pm. Of course, we always recommend checking the Fun Times for your cruise in case something changes, but that gives you a pretty good idea! :) -mark
I love biscuits and gravy, but I live in the South and I know how to make them, that's one thing, I rarely eat on a cruise line beause they just don't know how to do it right.😂
I love them too! I judge a breakfast spot on how they make them in fact. 😂 While these weren’t your standard biscuits and gravy, they ended up being enjoyable once I got past what I was expecting! :)

I saw so many ads for Shaq's Big Chicken when I was on board the Valor, which of course doesn't have it, so I can't wait to try Breakfast Shack and Chicken Shack when I get on the Firenze.

Absolutely the best fries at sea (in my opinion!) … have so much fun on the Jubilee where you will get to enjoy Shaq’s fries and so many other amazing food venues. She’s a beautiful ship and I think you will love it! -mark

We have been to the spa multiple times and have recorded several videos. We’ll definitely talk about it in our full review, but a quick note here: it’s not your typical ship and was not built with the standard Cloud 9 Spa amenities. Yes, they have all the treatments you could ever want/need, but no thermal area. The locker rooms have a sauna which is included for all - but we call it a secret space as no one seems to know it’s there! Lovely way to escape from the crowds. :)

I’m kinda confused cause you mentioned and ate some french toast on here. So I went back to the menu board and I did not see it listed on it. So how did you get the French toast there? BTW Thank you so much for your videos on the Firenze, I’m enjoying them very much.
Thanks for watching and for the question! Sadly, the French Toast is only available at Breakfast Shack. We were hoping they’d serve it all day, but once they switch over, the menu is limited. We’d like to see breakfast all day, personally!!! :) -mark
