We usually negotiate a taxi driver from just outside of the cruise port. Our cruise tip is to agree on the price and pay the driver at the conclusion of the trip when they drop you back off at the cruise ship.

I truly hope that it gets a proper update. Just felt so out of place with how it was designed.

It does seem to be a consistent issue with that terminal. The only reason I mentioned it was to make other cruisers aware of that challenge in the event that they're sailing from Vancouver, too. -Rocky

Did you actually watch our full review? Your comment doesn’t appear to reflect that. ;) We’re some of the bloggers out there that have positive things to say about MSC. We enjoyed the food, drinks, entrainment, ship, and a whole lot more. The things we didn’t love or hated are things other cruisers may care about. Or they may not. Well, it's not all rainbows and unicorns on this sailing. Cozumel was quite windy and Belize was rainy. Finally got some sunshine for the second half of our sailing. Hope you're staying warm out there!

@@territhomas3293 that’s correct! Several other changes occurred during the recent dry dock including an expanded Cagney’s and adding in several more cabins, reducing the size of the observation lounge.

Hey there! The point of reviews is to help others determine if a ship or cruise line is for them. We always say, take what applies to you and leave the rest. There was a lot to love about my HAL experience; in fact, I’d recommend you rewatch the first 16 minutes of this video! But even in the loved section, there will be things that don’t apply to other cruisers. Our goal is to give a complete and honest picture. And while it’s great you enjoy eating at 6pm, not everyone prefers to eat that early. Our reservation the other night on our current NCL sailing was 9pm which allowed us to catch the earlier show. The additional flexibility is something cruises want to know about in reviews. Finally, there’s really no need for name calling. It’s a predominantly positive TH-cam review about a cruise ship. 😂 We do hope you’ve got smooth seas ahead in 2025. Thanks for watching! Rocky

@@mrvip299 even though there aren’t launderettes on the newer ships, Carnival still maintains having ironing rooms on several decks for passenger use!

When you show up for your reservation at the restaurant, inform your server that you wish to use your included dining package and they’ll deduct it from your total. We’re experiencing the process right now onboard NCL Getaway. It’s very easy!

There’s a lot to enjoy about the ship, for sure. The allergen piece we wanted to make sure we mentioned in the review so that others that may be in a similar boat (pardon the pun!) know to watch out for it. We saw them replacing carpeting the last day of our sailing, so that gives us hope that they are actively working on some of the maintenance concerns we expressed. Your sailing sounds fantastic; I’ll definitely be curious to hear about your experience. If you think about it, we’d love an update after you sail! Have a great time! -Mark
