Two other great things about the premier inn brekkie a) they do loads of vegan options - including vegan sausages & bacon, b) kids under 16 eat for free and it's two kids to one adult. We always used to take my two daughters and their friends if they were having friends sleepover as it's be cheaper than feeding 4 teenagers plus the kids loved it as they could order what they wanted and go up as many times as they liked

I recently went to a hotel breakfast buffet and the whole buffet system was changed as well because of covid. Most things had to be ordered. I know this is better for sanitary reasons and freshness and less food waste but as an introvert I hated having to order things over and over. I felt like I was bugging the wait staff and I really just missed the old way where you never felt judged for taking 10 sausages at once😅

I don't know if it's just the standalone Premier Inns (not attached to a restaurant) who aren't doing a cooked buffet, but as someone who does work in one attached to a restaurant we do the buffet for cooked and continental every day of the week! I think some are still only doing them Saturday/Sunday depending on whether they do table service for the latter meals (as some didn't switch back after COVID cos of staffing levels and tip money lol) - don't know if that is of anything to note or not! :)
I've definitely had breakfast at Premier Inns pre-Covid where they've cooked to order. Perhaps it depends on each location what they decide to do? Personally, I much prefer cook to order.

i feel like you should have tasted the parfait at the fancy hotel!! like the premier inn is good for the savory and the fancy for the fruit and sweet (from the looks of it)

I am trying to remember the best breakfast buffet I've ever had in the states? I think the French Lick area? There's nothing there but open greenspace. There weren't windows in the cafe. But the food that day was something I'd never experienced. The creaminess of the oatmeal (porridge?) Oh. My. Goodness. And now I've learned to make mine like that. And every time it takes you back! And I can make a good breakfast potato if I may say? I think cooking well, eating well at home it spoils you! So finding a place that impresses and inspires is really exceptional. It's fun for you to enjoy something so nice. The views there were worth the money. I didn't think it would be, HOW COULD it be? And, it was. Of course, it was YOUR $45 pounds we spent, but it Was Worth it! And you ate the calories for the team too, nicely done ; ) It's like a See-Saw Breakfast, more for less? Less for More? Funny that it's true, maybe some ends of life are the best ends after all?

Best breakfast in London-ish for my money is in the Sofitel at Heathrow. Its included in the stay or like 30 pounds i think and they make the pancakes/eggs/etc in front of you plus have really lush meats, pastries etc.
Premier Inn breakfast is just immaculate. I personally prefer the buffet form as then I don't feel judged for ordering an obscene amount. But yes absolutely it'll be fresher cooked to order than left out on hot plates
You should go to the sofitel in Nusa Dua in Bali. They have a whole room through some glass doors that is full of diffrent pastry and breads! I spent a lot of time in that room! 😂🤣
can you do a challenge of trying to eat as a gluten free vegan in London or at cheap and expensive venues or something. we are quite a large community with these dietary requirements and its very difficult so any awareness which could be raised would be amazing xx

Can you just walk in to a Premier Inn and get a breakfast ? I've just booked a few days at the 'PI Hub' at Goodge Street but a warning popped up saying therre was no dining available on the dates I picked .. not worried about evening meals, but would have been nice to have a big breakfast before heading out. Now, we'll have to go somewhere as a first stop for our brekkie .. maybe to another PI or even a Travelodge
