- Today we bashed the Stampede BL-2S for the first time after converting the motor system to a VXL. The Stampede did amazing, it handled all the beating we could conflict on it. In the end the only part that broke was the center driveshaft which was expected. We will be upgrading the center driveshaft to aluminum, which is the same driveshaft that’s in the Rustler 4X4 VXL.

If the plastic center drive shaft does snap go with a green aluminum one. I think it'll look good
I put a VXL in mine as well. It's a great grab and go truck now. It was painfully slow with the BL-2S. I put that 2s combo in my 2wd rustler and I keep gearing it up waiting for it to get hot and it hasn't yet.
That’s good, that built in fan really helps. I went down to a 9T on the Stampede with the 3500 to keep temps down a little more. It has great acceleration.

Would you rather buy the Arrma BigRock 3s or the new Stampede 4x4 VXL (3s)?
I’ve never used the BigRock, but I’ve always loved the Stampede. But im also a fan of all RC’s
My Hoss is lazy as hell 😂. On 2s it does FWD Burnouts before it gets moving at 30mph. And still on 3s it does Still burnout more but does a wheelie which is helpful.
Love your videos! Just ordered this same truck on eBay that was only used once. I’m a newbie to the hobby. 6yrs ago my now 13yr old and I bought a Traxxas Slash 4x4 and Stampede 4x4 drove them about 10 times and they been sitting since. I sold the slash to purchase the Stampede like this one as we preferred them over the Slash. I was wondering if I could have you service the Stampede that’s been sitting for basically 5 years. I eventually want to set my new stampede up with the 3500 motor all the other goodie’s you have. Anyway sorry for rambling on. I’m in Paso as well and can meet at Pioneer park or anywhere that’s convenient. Thanks again for all the amazing videos. Very helpful for a rookie like myself!

3500kv rips fair play compared to 2400kv on the standard Hoss. Im tempted on trying a Hobbywing WP 10BL 120 with a 2400kv (out of my V1 maxx I got laying around after upgrading to the Hobbywing 2000kv) and try ripping on a small 4s just for Giggles 😂. Stumpy looking wild with no wheelie bar still 😊. Keep the content coming guys 👍❤️
I think I’m gonna keep it going without the wheelie bar. Got some much needed upgrades for the Stampede, Versus coming soon.
I recently put in the Hoss system, aluminum driveshaft, gtr shocks and have a center diff on the way but last week through the second 3s pack it grenade the rear spider gears. I installed the xo-1 spider gears, diff cup front and rear then beat the crap out of it today and seems ok so maybe watch your rear end
That’s crazy cause ours just destroyed the read spider gears

I just did these mods definitely going down in pinion from 11 did the 9 tooth seem to help with temps. Also put trx shocks with 70 rear 50 front let me know if you find something that works better
The weight sounds good, which shocks are the TRX? I plan on getting Traxxas GTR’s. Also heads up, a lot of reports of guys blowing up the rear diffs. Mine blew up last week, spider gears all damaged. Replaced carrier housing and gears. I bet it’s because of the slipper clutch, definitely need to upgrade to a center differential.
Yep just shredded my spider gears. Any chance you can put together a parts list for your recommended parts for the diffs

Hard to understand the first part sorry. If your stampede is stock, I doubt that Center driveshaft will ever break. Mine broke because it has the VXL system in it.
