    It's still unbelievable that they stripped the 2008 Talladega Win from Regan Smith as penalty for being forced below the double yellow line
    Especially Considering that NASCAR failed to give Denny Hamlin the exact same penalty at the exact same track 12 years later
    Goes to show why The Double yellow line rule on Superspeedways is a joke

  • @yes-it-is-i
    @yes-it-is-i 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

    The late yellows you mentioned are done for safety, due to the cars stalling on the racing surface unable to get it refired. NASCAR wants clean green flag finishes, rather than a yellow to end it. There was 20+ seconds for each driver to refire the car and drive away safely, so they waited it out.

    Just by this video alone.....Denny Hamlin sure has benefitted alot over the years by some "questionable" tactics lets say. I count at least two wins he's been gifted alone.

    Glad you brought up the "can't beat the leader to the line rule" which was a really frustrating time...probably cause I was a JJ fan and the 48 got robbed at Dover...Montoya was leader and spun the tires so the 48 gets black flagged 😮‍💨

    Nascar has always done what was good for nascar, let’s talk about Dale jr during the 8 car years, why could that car always run by itself and pass cars on superspeedways, because that’s what nascar wanted. Fights at races are more important then the racing, if nascar cared about racing they wouldn’t mandate road race cars to all teams with no creativity

    12:05 I remember that one. I couldn't believe they let that win stand after they took the win from Rusty in Martinsville 97 for a jumped start that wasn't half as blatant. They let Stewart get away with murder.

    The very first one, I was at that race this weekend, it was getting dark out FAST with no lights, and they kept wrecking, so nascar was trying their hardest to not throw a caution. In person it looked scary, the field almost came at him full speed, I was wondering what was going on!

  • @joeshelton1077

    I don't like it when either FOX or NBC changes channels if it went longer than scheduled. It ought'a stay until the race is finished period. Also NASCAR can make bad calls because they don't know what they're doing.

  • @patricktuggles4815
    @patricktuggles4815 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I don't really care for them throwing cautions late like that. Like when preece spun alone, and the caution didn't come out for a long time. NASCAR most likely has access to every driver camera when something happens when they don't throw it, they have access to everything. But there's a different race director every week now too

    Doomed if they do doomed if they don't, some of the ones where it clear the car just needs to restart for instance no damage or minimal then I'd say fair play to them not pulling the caution out straight away, clearly they wanted to avoid it, but in other places I get it also as to why they not. Either way Nascar seems to not win either way.

    I thought nascar did the perfect officiating at the pocono race with preece. Could they have thrown the flag and lined them up for their 5th restart in 15 laps at pocono? Absolutely. But IMO, and clearly nascars too, that shitshow was better worth just ending. I love a GWC when we're robbed of a finish, but when drivers are wrecking to the point of embarrassment nonstop, I'm all for letting them get to the white and ending it as soon as they get to the point on track where caution occurs as was case of Pocono. Honestly a lot of the calls people complain about similar to this have same wreckfest justification.

    Denny Hamlin is the dirtiest driver in the field every week, and he blatantly wrecks tons of people, why does nobody give it back to that narcissist?…In his late career hes found out that he will never have the raw talent to win it all, so has resorted to wrecking and walling people on purpose. Everyone is scared of wrecking a non-champion below average driver? I dont get it.

      Dude get real. Just cause you don’t like someone does not make them bad drivers. Denny is a hall of fame driver and deserves to be. He has had incidents as most every driver on track has. He definitely has the talent things just have not gone his way at the end. That’s sports. But hey I guess nascar are just morons and should ask you if he should be a hall of fame driver. You probably love drivers and praise their talent that have a third of the success that Denny has. I don’t much like Denny but there is no denying the driving ability stop being bitter
