      Yes man. Recorded about 10 VHS with the german Show "MTV Superrock". It always was on a monday, so often woke up earlier then I usually did, when I had to go to school to watch a bit of that tape, cause it was too hard to be in school without an idea what stuff was recorded. After school directly put a Pizza in the oven and started the video to watch the rest and the ones I already fall in love with in the morning, fully excited. So I found bands like System of a down years before they went famous and showed that stuff to my friends and infected them with fkn heavy music.
      Changed my life. Proud to be a part of the olschoolers. It was an amazing time. :')

      +EmpiresDawn Yeah, but we would sit and watch or even have it on in the background in case they did or to discover new bands. We used to have three hours of power on triple j, many moons ago, then slowly it became the hour of power and it was on at like midnight or something stupid. MTV already had the real world and shit like that while they were a music station. They have two channels down here, MTV classic, I think, where they play music and MTV something, where they play ex on the beach, jersey shore, teen mom, all that shit. Dont think youtube played much part in it. We still have rage. People like to watch others self destruct in public. Pay the $$ and see these bands live, most still tour, get off the couch and see live music.

    • @EmpiresDawn
      @EmpiresDawn 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      If that concept would still work and finance itself it would be done.
      Maybe you and a couple of other dudes would watch it but that doesn't mean it would pay out. The online.generation doesn't need this stuff anymore.

      +ChachaChapati Some smart c**t wrote on FF FB wall saying some shit about how hes a great guitarist even if he is fat. I couldnt belive it. Dino basically said he couldnt give a fuck what anyone thought. Who gives a fuck if the dudes 300lbs or 150lbs? Unless you want to fuck him. FF are the shit and live they are even better. They still play Self Bias and Zero Signal. Pisschrist seems to be played here and there. Id like to see them play Drain You by Nirvana, Pisschrist more often and chuck Big God in there too.

    • @ChachaChapati
      @ChachaChapati 9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Michael Smythe Mostly the new stuff with some classic Demanufacture/Obsolete era thrown in. Burt's voice sounds a bit shot, but throw him a bone, he's been performing for almost 30 years.
      Dino's a great guitarist regardless of how fat he is, but he's supposed to be a huge a-hole. The now ex-FF members Ray and Chris thought so, as well as his mates in Divine Heresy. Hell, even Burt thought at one point if you just listen to the lyrics of "Archetype."

    • @michaelsmythe4204
      @michaelsmythe4204 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      No shit. Very interesting. He is a great guitarist, but if he was that bad, he wouldnt be hard to replace. I love the dismissal of a God in Burtons lyrics. He speaks for a mass of people that just cant accept a higher being. I saw them in Feb, I think, at Soundwave. They played Signal, Self Bias, Resurrection, some new stuff and some older stuff. Id like to see them try Timelessness, Big God, Decent. His voice wasnt too bad, but like you said, 30 years of touring. Theyre a solid live act.

You know, I thought this type of trolling stopped being cool in like 2007, so how retro of you to keep it alive.

    The one band I’ve seen live more than any other! Still can’t get over how tight they always sounded live, Burt was always hit or miss depending on how he felt that day I guess but musically the only thing I could ever say to describe them live is holy shit!

    • @slayermill8621
      @slayermill8621 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I only got to see them once but it was such a bad ass show. This was back in 1997 when I was a 14 year old, 110 pound 5'6 teenager.There was a part of the show where everyone was pumping their fists in the air and I was close enough to the stage to where Dino reached out and grabbed my fist to rock out with me. I'll never forget that.

    This is a God tier performance from a hungry band with their classic line up Burton is in my top 3 vocalists but his growls come from his throat instead of breathing technique and he has paid the price for that in later years.
    I saw Fear Factory twice once Burtons vocal was spot on and everyone was on point that was the last time they played here with the classic line up fast forward to Wacken 06 and it's a different ball game Burtons voice was fried we ended up doing the leg work for all the clean vocals Christian was playing the wrong instrument the bass player seemed to be a half step sharp on every song and Raymond Ulriched nearly every fill as well as the kick intro to Demanufacture....I can understand it they were definitely up all night drinking Jagermeister and they hit the stage at mid day during a heatwave...

  • @Recoil816
    @Recoil816 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Demanufacture still holds up, and has an absolute one-of-a-kind sound. It was so severely overlooked, it's a damn crime.
    I must've listened to the entire album thousands of times at this point. I absolutely love it.

    • @unanimousarts
      @unanimousarts 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It certainly still is relevant today in terms of technology and the rise of AI. The album captured the same vibe I get from Terminator 1 & 2, Dune, and of course the state of the current World and its religion. The subject matters are a foreshadowing of what is and what is to come. The music is like an anthemic rebellion against the oppression of the machine.

    Saw these guys in 1993 on a tour of the UK in a small venue called Edwards No8 in Birmingham, the drummer damn well nearly blew me out the back of the hall 😂 supported by GGFH and Kong, a strange mix of bands but it worked, apart from Kong insisting on each member playing in a different corner of the venue to create a different sound but the sound men couldn't get it right so it took bloody ages 😂 great night though, wish i could go back to those days 😢
