Took me some days to stop crying over this music. I Started playing the bass 24 years ago because of Paul and The Beatles. Last week Paul did a surprise gig at my city(Brasília) and I was one of the few 300 lucky ones to get a ticket, watched him for 1h40m standing at the front row barrier, less than 2 meters away from him, never expected for something like this to happen to me, still feels like a dream, one of the best days of my life.

This song & video gives me such nostalgic vibes. I grew up with the Beatles music as a young girl. This also makes me a little sad since John & George are no longer with us (John was murdered in 1980 & George died of cancer in 2001). But I like the video showing them all together. I am sure Paul & Ringo loved doing this tribute & it must have brought back a lot of fond memories for them. The Beatles had a great sense of humor that is shown by some of the flashbacks & like seeing the costumes from Sgt. Pepper's album.

What a great and fun reaction.
Don’t worry about crying. Many other reactors have cried watching this video, even some who have only gotten familiar with the Beatles songs within the past year or two from their channels.
This song is being considered as the “last Beatles” song because it is the last of 3 demos that Yoko had given Paul back in the 90s when the Beatles were filming the Anthology documentary. Paul, George and Ringo completed the songs Free As A Bird and Real Love. They gave this song a go but weren’t satisfied because of the poor sound quality of John’s voice when they tried to extract it from the tape.
The new technology allowed Paul and Ringo to finally finish it. They also used guitar work from George from the original 90s attempt.

As a lifelong musician and also I grew up with the Beatles as part of my childhood music and culture and I was in high school when John Lennon got assassinated, I always enjoy reactions from people that are accomplished or knowledgeable musicians and singers and producers and so forth. When they released Free AS a Bird in the mid 90's I was amazed how good it was, mixing John in (George was still with us.) This song hit me straight in the heart when I first heard it. Thank you for this wonderful reaction. I was 14 when Introducing the Beatles was released in 1964 so I grew up listening to them. They are the greatest band of all time and I am happy/sad to hear their last song. BTW George recorded his guitar parts in 1995 before he passed in 2001 so this is all four of the lads from Liverpool. Thank you for sharing your breakdown of this Beatles track. I'm sixty one and The beatles were imprinted in my brain from an early age. I recall sneaking into my eldest brothers room whilst he was out and listening to his Beatles albums. Everything I heard was perfect...the harmonies, lyrics, the tempo for those lyrics. I handles those albums as if they were the holy grail itself.

Yep... I've worshipped these guys for pretty much the last 38 years! I'm 50 now, and have seen and heard so much of their stuff, but this one hit different.
There was such an anticipation knowing that this was coming out. We were told this woyld be the last new thing we ever hear from them fron Ringo and Paul themselves. You think "Yeah yeah... last thing... now let's hear it! We heard Free As A Bird, and Real Love... and I couldn't wait to get another one of those songs with the other Beatles worked into it. But then, instead of just listening to this new reease, I watched the video to get the whole experience. They sure as heck didn't disappoint!!!
At the beginning, you're curious, and in awe. You want more. You see things you haven't seen before, then you see them playing together! It's alot of heavy stuff in the first minute.
Then something profound happens (at least to me). It happens right around the part where the strings cut in (where 1967 Paul mimics playing a violin).
You realize this is it. Even though they ceased to exist as a band over half a century ago, you begin to realize "this is it"! You soon start to see the clock going back to black and white. Tge music speeds up, like it does when you're getting close to the end of a rare visit from an old friend. That feeling that you don't want to say goodbye, but you have to. You try to hold onto time, but it now seems like it's slipping away faster and faster.
Then, as fast as it started... it's over, and you're faced with that heartbreaking feeling of having to say goodbye to that old friend... forever.
After the screen fades to black, your left staring at the screen, thinking about this last list, and now you have to say goodbye to this old friend...... forever.

I’m 71 years old and bought “I Want To Hold Your Hand” in January of 1964. I wept the first time I watched this…The more I see this, the more I become connected to it. Paul came up with the Idea of putting Strings on it and got Giles Martin. Peter Jackson did the green screens and video Production as well as separate John’s Voice from the Piano on the cassette. John was a Prolific Songwriter and had his own Sound. Paul is a Maestro, Peter Jackson is a Maestro, Giles Martin is a Maestro, and Ringo is a Maestro Beatle Drummer! This is why this Video is freaking GREAT!!! The 4 Beatles Harmonies have been there from the very beginning. They certainly were there in the End here!
I enjoyed watching the wonder on your face while reviewing this. Simply Wonderful! ❤

The quality is down to Sean Lennon providing Peter Jackson with the original cassette that John recorded it on this time which was much higher quality than the multi generational copy that we've heard and the one the remaining Beatles were originally given in the 90's. The MAL software simply isolated the vocal, initially attempts by Jacksons team, although successfully isolated were deemed poor due to them using bad quality copies that were thin sounding, but once they got their hands on the original cassette John's voice was of much greater quality. Peter Jackson talked about the process on the "Things We Said Today" podcast which is worth a listen.

7:13 I also wonder how many more demos John made...however, they would NEVER become a new Beatles song because George wouldn't be on those demos. They would have to use AI to recreate George...and THAT would not make it a Beatles song. The fact that Paul and Ringo still had some of George's guitar parts that he had recorded in 1995, makes this a true-all-four-member Beatles song. :)

Those "oooooooohhhh's" and "ahhhhhhhh's" are from three other Beatles songs! "Here, There & Everywhere", "Elenor Rigby" & "Because"...
    They dubbed them in perfectly.

The thing that hit me was Ringo. Aside from the clips where he’s singing, it’s really represents what his contribution was. He was the constant. The rest of them are performing, goofing or contemplating…but Ringo is just tapping on…

Great song :) Was so amazing hearing a never before produced/released.
On a side note: How amazing is it that Paul McCartney's original 1961 Höfner 500/1 Bass Guitar stolen in 1972 was recently discovered and returned to Paul.

Great honest reaction. I love the song. The Ah (C&E) is sampled from Eleanor Rigby, Ah (D major and D minor) is from Because and the Ohs were from Here, There and Everywhere so that John and George were also present in the backing vocals ❤
