ALERT!!! I love this quilt and have just made a test block. The 112 snowball corner blocks should be cut at 4 1\2 inches in background fabric. The 56 centre blocks are 4 inches.
I'm still struggling with the snowballs. Where did you cut? I can only get it to work if I stitch down the center, and then I'm left with scant 1/8" seams.
My youngest sister is wanting a table runner with fall colors and I love this pattern so I will do one side with this pattern and other side with leaves!
I’m loving this quilt and it looks so easy which is a plus for me. I’m thinking my oldest daughter would love this !! Thanks Jenny for another great tutorial 🥰
I love this quilt. I did notice that the border with the leftover half squares was put on the quilt different than the way Jenny usually does. She didn’t mention this on the tutorial. Not get wrong for I love the it was done. So she/you sure mention that. I watch all the tutorials, thanks.
I love how when you look at this quilt, sometimes the small blocks pop out and sometimes the bigger blocks pop out. It looks multi dimensional! Beautiful!
I really prefer star patterns and this 1 is lots of fun. I will probably do 1 in a smaller size to donate through our quilt guild for a children's charity and that way I can Try out the Pattern before I organized fabric for a bigger 1. Thank you so much for all the time and energy you put into this and the fact that you give them away is amazing I wish you much success and good health.
This is such a cute pattern. I had no idea what the unit was going to look like to make the block. It was surprising. I love the bonus project too. It’s a great size for a little end table or table for two. I love it when you can use up all your leftovers. Great video. Thanks a bunch!
I love how you incorporated all the strips into a beautiful quilt and table runner. Way to go. And its so beautiful. Thank you. I want to make this. I might even have some really neat strips.
I really like this design (even if the fabric colours aren't my favourites)! And I love when you turn the "bonus triangles" from the snowballed corners into the border: the fabrics are the same, so you know they're all going to match! Thanks for another technique to make these "ribbon star" blocks, a wonderful tutorial!
This is fabulous! I have been looking for motivation to use less loved and likely vintage fabric from my stash to burst into a beloved quilt. This pattern is a star block for me. Thank you for your tutorials! You make me feel confident that I can do anything!
I think this should be called Block Star Surprise because seeing how the block was being put together didn't show me how a star was going to come out. It's so fun how it comes about. 😀
I love MSQC tutorials and this one is definately a keeper! This pattern would be great with either scrappy leftover strips or with yardage. And the leftover blocks also make a table runner. I see lots of options with this one for the coming holiday season!
I really love this quilt and the design. Making it sure surprised me and love the extra triangles for the border and mini quilt. Thanks Jenny, so creative!
I love this pattern, it's perfect for the Christmas in July, all my scrappy Christmas fabric's would fit in perfect. Thank you Jenny for this great idea.
As always I thoroughly enjoy watching and re-watching your videos through the years. You are an inspiration. Thank you. I was just getting ready to start this quilt when I noticed I cut only 56 background squares, but the block actually uses 3 background squares per block. So we need to cut 168 4" squares.
This one is a favorite and I really enjoyed seeing this quilt and table runner being made. I love that it is done with a jelly roll and looks like a fast quilt to come together. This may need to be my next quilt! Thank you for teaching and inspiring me every week. ❤️
That's a lovely quilt, it looks more complicated than it actually is 😍 but wait, there's more..... got to love a bonus project 💖 thank you for another great quilt that I need to make 🤗
This is a must-make pattern! I love the fabric just as much, especially that backing! Jenny, you're getting so thin l hardly recognize you...looking great!😍
Absolutely gorgeous! I love the quilt and love the fact that the "leftovers" after the quilt is made are used for the border and the cute table topper! Love, love, this tutorial! Thanks!
I love all of the quilts you and the girls make they are all so awesome. I am new to quilting and was just wondering about the fabric and should you wash it first. I have had numerous people tell me both. Thanks again for all your info, I just love what you are doing. Josie from Australia.
Prewashing precuts is not advisable, especially 2.5” strips or 5” squares because they’re so small, if/ when they fray in the wash you’ll lose usable fabric. It used to be necessary to prewash fabrics especially when you didn’t know their origins, but today’s quilting fabrics are usually top quality & colourfast, so they don’t need prewashing.
This is the best jelly roll pattern I’ve ever made. Thanks Jenny, truly.

Stitch on the diagonal line Jenny had you draw. Stitch again 1/2" away. Cut between the two lines of stitching.@@elizabethpepper6809
Thanks for clearing that up. I thought I heard 2 measurements while she was sewing!!
Wish I had seen this before I made all 56 blocks. It’s not coming together at all.
Thank you. It's a good thing I have extra background,I will use the extra four inch squares with leftover fabric and make a piece border

Jenny you are looking great. Real inspiration in all kinds of ways.
Of course I love the quilt - anything with stars! But that little runner is the cutest! I have a small table where that would work perfectly.

Made a version of this immediately. If you have a dusty jelly roll, dust it and go. So fun to make! Thank you, Jenny!
I always like that when you can use the leftovers in the quilt! Great pattern and easy! I like easy!
love the "secondary" block that gives so much dimension to the quilt
What a beautiful block! It truly is a Star! I love that you got. Bonus table runner out if the leftovers too. Great job Jenny!
Great tutorial on a beautiful project and a bonus to boot, how lucky are we? Many thanks Jenny.
I love the way this comes together....such a clever woman!
This looks like a fun pattern to work. I'll have to keep it in mind. It's really pretty, especially the border.
I love how when you look at this quilt, sometimes the small blocks pop out and sometimes the bigger blocks pop out. It looks multi dimensional! Beautiful!
I just started watching the video Ms Jenny but I want to say how beautiful you look! That color just makes you glow ❤️

Stars Rule!! My favorite you have done so far! Thank you!
Don't know how I missed this one! LOL Love this! Like the bonus too.
I see this project in my future 😍. I have the perfect jelly roll in my stash.
Score!!! I have some specific fabrics I've been accumulating for just the right project. Thank you, Ms Jenny!!!!
I'm loving this one Jenny. Anything with a simple star is right up my alley. Thanks so much!

This is a very nice looking quilt! Will try this out! Love the backing fabric. Thank you, Jenny Doan for sharing how it's done.
The block looked so complicated but it went together so easily 🤩 Thanks Jenny 👍🇬🇧
Very pretty! I bet it would be gorgeous in Christmas fabric too
I had to rewatch this great tutorial. Thank you
I love how you make quilts that look so time consuming - but you have tricks so they are not. Love this pattern!
I love how you incorporated all the strips into a beautiful quilt and table runner. Way to go. And its so beautiful. Thank you. I want to make this. I might even have some really neat strips.
Absolutely Gorgeous I just love star blocks❤
Jenny, loved this pattern and especially the use of the “left-over” bits. Thanks for all the things you do.
Such a pretty block, and the leftovers are so usable. Thanks Jenny. 😍🇦🇺

Love the block. Would look great with a black background fabric too - colours would pop

HRHDMKYT ~ Did you use the entire jelly roll? I'm cutting my own 2.5" strips and the way I figured, it should only take 28. Thanks for your help!!
This is fabulous! I have been looking for motivation to use less loved and likely vintage fabric from my stash to burst into a beloved quilt. This pattern is a star block for me. Thank you for your tutorials! You make me feel confident that I can do anything!
Loved this one! Snuck in a starter log cabin and evolved it into a star - magic!
I think this should be called Block Star Surprise because seeing how the block was being put together didn't show me how a star was going to come out. It's so fun how it comes about. 😀

I was just getting ready to start this quilt when I noticed I cut only 56 background squares, but the block actually uses 3 background squares per block. So we need to cut 168 4" squares.
You need to make the corner snowball background squares 4 and a half inches square, 4 inches is too small
This is perfect for those jelly rolls we all have in our stash - I'm a sucker for stars - Great job and thanks again for all you do
Looks like a project for my Kansas Troubles jelly roll.
Another way to make an awesome star quilt! Jenny you e made me live stars as much as you do over the years thank you! I love them so much!!!!

Hi, Jenny 🙂, how simple, how brilliant....I'm thrilled, as always. Thank you very much!
I don't use table runners but do use those on the chair backs in my living room. It brightens it up and I can use holiday themes.
