- I purchased an 1850s castle wheel at a flea market last summer. She's been sitting in her broken condition for nearly a year. Today, we embark on the process of making "Bridget" once again a spinner.

I think you are right that isn't the original flyer, or it's metal rod has broken off.
It definitely does not fit like it should so something is off.
I have a strong desire for spinning wheel information, I don’t possess one yet but I shall
I have 3 now... I am rather fascinated by them. Of course, I brought the one non-working one with me but I have a source with Bobbin Boy and I'm going to commission a new flyer and some bobbins for Bridget.
@@KatelynKearns I just keep saving them on my EBay and there’s a local pickup only one here in town that I am saving up for
@@Rotten_Ralph Good luck getting your wheel! Just make sure it actually spins before you put down money-sometimes they look like they'll work but they actually don't.
@@KatelynKearns the joys of local pickup… I guess I can spin it before I pay for it right? But I was admonished firmly on my 1st wheel being from a reputable source. Gotta be certain that I can use it. But I’m okay with getting a decorative piece to slowly be restored. I just want to spin.
