  • Are my eyes failing me? I have not been able to spot the Spotted Wood Owls during my walk for almost 2 months and when I spotted it again behind car park D, and I failed to notice it was already nesting.
Thanks to the birding community that shared the appearance of the owlet and that lured me to the park for another walk. (People who knows me knew I do not chase birds but will be lured to the park if some interesting birds appeared).
Saving my walk journal in searching for the spotted wood owls and the baby in nest.
Pasir Ris Park is getting more and more quiet for wildlife. But it is still a very nice place for a walk, get some nice feel of nature. The appearance of the owls here made my walk even more interesting.

Yes. Pasir Ris Park is a great spot to see some wonderful wildlife. 😊 Unfortunately due to redevelopment, it is getting more and more quiet these days. Luckily, this family stayed on. Thanks for watching my friend.

Luckily, you were able to record several types of migratory birds as well as some local birds. The baby owl is a source of attention at the moment. A big LIKE from me.👍👍

Thank you for introducing birds and otters from the Pasir Ris Park. I visit Pasir Ris twice a year from Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR. I sometimes enjoy seeing various green parrots, Asian Koels, Japanese White-eye, Jungle Fowl, River Otters, but I have never seen owls in this park. Perhaps they are well hidden among the tall trees 🌳 and branches making it difficult to see. You are so lucky 🍀 to be able to see these birds. 👍👍👍👍👍

The Spotted Wood Owl can be spotted mostly in car park D at this location or near to Toilet E area. When not in nesting season, they will fly around and can be difficult to meet them. Next time when you visit, try asking anyone with a camera to see if they have spotted. That will make your job easier. Usually, they perched very high, so can be challenging to spot if you have not spot them before. Good luck to you on your next trip.Cheers.

They're hornbills and wood peckers in Pasir Ris. Also pretty butterflies in Pasir Ris Park.

Yes. I usually meet the hornbills and woodpeckers on my walk but not the 2 days shared here, which is why there are no footage of them. Thank you for watching. Happy holidays😄
