Sharing travel / nature walk / wildlife sightings with music.
Sharing what is it like when I am out for a hike in the nature parks and gardens. Sharing the wildlife I met that surprised many people who has never been outdoors.
There is always a tune in my head whenever I set off for a nature walk and when I spotted a wildlife. Music in my video represents what was the tempo in my head expressing them in my video, sharing with my friends and viewers.
I hope this channel will bring more people outdoor to enjoy nature.

Pasir Ris Park-Spotted Wood Owl baby. 12 Dec 2024
Are my eyes failing me? I have not been able to spot the Spotted Wood Owls during my walk for almost 2 months and when I spotted it again behind car park D, and I failed to notice it was already nesting.
Thanks to the birding community that shared the appearance of the owlet and that lured me to the park for another walk. (People who knows me knew I do not chase birds but will be lured to the park if some interesting birds appeared).
Saving my walk journal in searching for the spotted wood owls and the baby in nest.
Pasir Ris Park is getting more and more quiet for wildlife. But it is still a very nice place for a walk, get some nice feel of nature. The appearance of the owls here made my walk even more interesting.

Wildlife Singapore-Lesser Mousedeer. Lower Peirce Trail 24 Oct 2024.
มุมมอง 689วันที่ผ่านมา
I am not lucky in meeting a Lesser Mousedeer though I have seen people sharing their sightings of them in different nature parks in Singapore. The 1st time I met them in 5 years was on 11 Oct 2024, when I was here for the star bird ODK (I have shared a video on th-cam.com/video/rLQ6IVrTHMw/w-d-xo.html). Since then, I have been visiting this park hoping to meet it again. 24 Oct 2024 - I thougt i...

Its the migration season again. Unfortunately, I am suffering from a painfull pinched nerve on my elbow. It affects me alot when I use the camera and work on my videos. Someone shared the sighting of the Blue-winged Pitta. So far, the Blue-winged Pitta I spotted was very shy. I have not have a good look at them so far. So, since it is here, its a very good excuse for me to visit this small park...

My arm is painful, most likely due holding the mouse for too long. So, let me share a short and precious footage with you. I wanted to take a break from visiting the park and tend to my plants. The sunbirds were exceptionally noisy, so I check out their usual location and I thought it was my imagination when I spotted the Eastern Barn Owl perched on the solar panel cable under the solar panels ...

Migratory season is here, so hubby and me visited Bishan Ang Mo Kio park for a walk hoping to see which migratory birds has arrived in this park. Luckily, you were able to record several types of migratory birds as well as some local birds. The baby owl is a source of attention at the moment. A big LIKE from me.👍👍

You are very welcome. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for introducing birds and otters from the Pasir Ris Park. I visit Pasir Ris twice a year from Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR. I sometimes enjoy seeing various green parrots, Asian Koels, Japanese White-eye, Jungle Fowl, River Otters, but I have never seen owls in this park. Perhaps they are well hidden among the tall trees 🌳 and branches making it difficult to see. You are so lucky 🍀 to be able to see these birds. 👍👍👍👍👍
The Spotted Wood Owl can be spotted mostly in car park D at this location or near to Toilet E area. When not in nesting season, they will fly around and can be difficult to meet them. Next time when you visit, try asking anyone with a camera to see if they have spotted. That will make your job easier. Usually, they perched very high, so can be challenging to spot if you have not spot them before. Good luck to you on your next trip.Cheers.
@ Thank you 🙏 so much. We hope to visit Singapore 🇸🇬 PASIR RIS Park again in February 2025.😉😉😉😃😃😃

What a treat to be able to witness the courtship ritual!
I must thank a senior birder who encouraged me to visit while I was at Singapore Botanic Gardens. I usually do not chase bird especially at such a ulu ulu area with no other sightings. Now that I looked back, this was at a very good location with good sighting grounds. In 2024, someone spotted a pair at Changi Bay. But it was high up the tree. So, I guess, last year sighting was the best.
What a beautiful fella! Absolutely stunning!
Yes. A christmas present for birders last year. I am so glad I did a video after watching it again yesterday (after your comments). I still wonders where it came from and where did it go. A mysterious bird. We also joked if it will appear again during christmas. LOL. Thanks for your comment on this older video. Bring back memories. Cheers.
The blue-winged-pitta is very pretty, the colours so vibrant. Definitely one in my life list! Most colourful ones i've filmed are the blue-tailed bee-eaters. Anyhow hope your elbow is fully recovered!
We were blessed to have this very sociable pitta at at neighbourhood park. Thanks to the spotter who shared it. Also thanks to birders who visited. No one go too near. So it was not scared and did not go away. I think this really helps for the bird to stay longer. I guess this was the first (from my many sighting of Blue winged pitta), one that is not afraid of human. As for my elbow, its a long process to get it heal (very frustrating). The only way to heal is not to bend the elbow too long. But with migratory season, one cannot resist holding our camera. Sometime, the nerve hurts so much after I hold my camera too tight for videoing. With our age, my only way is to accept it as part of aging LOL. Still trying not to touch the computer too much though. Thanks for asking. Hope you get to see the Blue-winged Pitta soon. Cheers!
Oh wow. Super blessed to have spotted it in the day! I thought they were supposed to be nocturnal?
I think they have been spotted looking for food during day time. Just that they are usually very shy, hiding behind the trees and left fast. I was very lucky to spot this very rare spot, when it came out quite close to the boardwalk, only 2 meters away. Perhaps it was very hungry and not bothered with us. Thanks for watching by the way. 😊
They are common but interesting to watch
Totally agree ☺️

Hi, good morning to you from Hong Kong 🇭🇰.The Blue-winged Pitta is indeed a beautiful bird, having its range from India 🇮🇳 to Malaysia 🇲🇾, Indonesia 🇮🇩, southern China 🇨🇳, an the Philippines 🇵🇭. In Hong Kong 🇭🇰, we have the Common Tailorbirds, but not the Ashy Tailorbird. Yesterday morning, as I strolled along the seaside promenade, I also saw a MALE Asian Koel sitting quietly in the tree.
Thank you for sharing Mark.
With most medium to small sized birds, broken bones heal very quickly if infection isn't present. (Small passerines heal broken bones in 4 to 5 days!) If this Lapwing can fly, the wing has healed at an angle. The loss of flight efficiency would still reduce the bird's long term survival prospects.
The "Collared" Turtledoves (S. decaocto, S. roseogrisea, and possibly their sub Saharan and South Asian cousins) tend to engage in this behavior simultaneously, while Spotted Doves behave more like Common Woodpigeons, NA Mourning Doves, Zebra Doves, and Rock Pigeons in that one partner preens and nibbles while the other remains quiescent. Derek Goodwin coined the term "caressing" for this behavior in columbiform birds, to distinguish this from allopreening, with which it often intergrades. Doves and pigeons usually nibble rapidly over their partner's face and neck; this is less focused than allopreening, and seems to serve mainly as tactile stimulation in reinforcing their pair bond, particularly when both partners rapidly nibble at each other's faces and necks at the same time.
Nothing said about the fishes sacrificing their lives. Heart breaking when I saw a 2 feet gold dragon fish caught and eaten alive by an otter.
little recommendation for future videos put stop the BG music and let us listen to the forest original sound

Strange!!!! Aren't all birds are birds including crows, mynahs, pigeons etc or are only birds that comes with a price tag or they're rare species deserve to live? It's like calling yourself an animal lovers but you eat meat??? Hmm...🤔🤔🤔
@@user-vb3yu8vy4e 🙏🙏
Great news more species better to the nature environments, hopes can see more rosters and small chickens running arounds
@SANN-1969 Singapore had feral populations of Red Junglefowl (the wild ancestor of Chickens), wven in developed residential areas, that included many melanistic variants. There were far too many roosters relative to the hens, and their crowing annoyed many people, so they were removed. There are several videos of these birds here on YT.
Red Junglefowl/chickens can be commonly found in our parks. So common that we do not pay much attention to them. 😅
@@kimpriorityI though that they were all removed! The wild colored roosters are beautiful birds, the melanistic roosters less so.
@motherlandbot6837 I believed those reported being removed were from residential areas where ppl made complaints. But I still see them in our parks.
