I will forever be grateful to my older brother for introducing me to Monty Python when I was about 8 years old as he'd watch it on our local PBS station. Though I didn't 'get' most of the humour at that age, it did lay the foundation for my love of British humour, lead by the Pythons. Thank you for this!
The Monty Python movies will always be special to me and my dad. Brings back fun childhood memories. Thanks for taking us all on your trip up there, so appreciated. 😂❤
after Elvis died, they documented everything in his bedroom before it was effectively sealed off to everyone except immediate family, and in the VCR player was a VHS tape, Monty Python & The Holy Grail. The King loved Monty Python!
R.I.P to Graham Chapman..who during the filming of this movie was bad alcoholic and he did pass from alcoholism in 89.. classic movie y'all.. thanks for sharin.. and I love 💕 the purple dress on Jessica..
One of my favorite movies of all time. In high-school when it came out and laugh till I cry even now. "It's only a flesh wound". Another great job of bringing the best of filming locations.
I've never seen monty python, but i can't miss a grimm episode, sometimes abput you 2 is so calm to watch, my comfort show❤ You both have an amazing Thanksgiving tomorrow together ❤️
First of all, I LOVE Monty Python and you being at the actual sites where the Holy Grail movie took place is just totally worth seeing. It would be epic to see them in person!
I squealed with delight when I saw the title of this video & couldn't hit the "Like" button fast enough! To say I love "Monty Python & the Holy Grail" would be a HUGE understatement! Quotes from this movie have been a part of my everyday lexicon for most of my life. Thank you for sharing & taking us along on your quest! Now, off I go to fetch a shubbery before you taunt me a second time!
Alice Cooper once said that horror and comedy often go hand in hand. I have been a horror lover all my life, and yes, I am a Monty Python fan. I guess this video proves Alice's philosophy correct. All these great videos of horror filming locations, then suddenly, Monty Python from Grimm Life. It just shows that great minds think alike. I love it! Thank you to Michael and Jessica, and keep the videos coming! I'll be here.
What a Thanksgiving Day treat this was. It looks like you guys are truly on a bucket list trip of a lifetime! Thank you so much for this video. All I can say is"Ni"! Blessings - Judith 🎤🎭
🥥🐦🥥 = one of the funniest conversations in movie history... 😂 This is something my husband would love as much as me - he's a huge fan of the movie. Jessica is just cute as a button, btw! 💚 Thank you for another fun adventure, Michael and Jessica. You two are awesome, sharing all these wonderful places with us! Take care and continued safe travels!! Happy...Halloween!!
You guys are fantastic. Your European adventure is hitting these truly amazing locations that I didn't appreciate were even on my bucket list because I never imagined they could actually be found. It is uncanny to see such kindred spirits!
Nice video. great job lining up the shots. It is pretty crazy how much of the battlements have eroded since the film was shot. You guys would enjoy Glamis Castle if you are in Scotland again. Has a secret room, monster story, is the Macbeth castle and a pet cemetery!
For me, there is no greater comedy than Monty Python's Holy Grail. I'm pretty sure that I have every line memorized and seeing Baby Ghoul read John Cleese's French Taunter lines was fantastic! BTW - if Baby Ghoul says Star Wars was filmed there, I wouldn't dispute it - just go with it. I'm sooooo glad you included this in your tour of Europe! Apparently someone did inherit the curtains as I noticed that they're gone... Jessica at the end, doing the Frnech Taunter impression instead of the Happy Halloween sign-off was totally epic!!!!
Totally watching this movie again after this. I never thought I would’ve seen these sights Grimmfam! I love Jessica’s re-enactments 😄 Thank you both again for these unbelievable videos! 💚
I thought I hurt myself laughing watching this, but it's "just a flesh wound." Wonderful great stuff from you both again. So glad you're enjoying your UK visit. Shame you couldn't get to Wales, we've got some great castles as well.
It's just a flesh wound. 🤣 I remember watching this movie the first time with a couple buddies stoned. We laughed so hard. Great memories. Thanks for taking the time and energy to make this ❤
When we went to Scotland in 2012, we made sure we planned an afternoon there having fun and recreating scenes. I knew we weren't alone when we saw someone prancing across the parking lot with coconuts. Two additional places we found were the alcove where the prisoner was clapping for the song and the West wall where Launcelot take Galahad after saving him from certain peril.
This is so awesome, I love Monty python and the Holy Grail is one of my favourite minty python movies, so it's great to see the location they filmed in and how it looks today. Thanks guys.
I am SO GLAD you're both enjoying the UK! I've been watching eagerly as you explore my country, and you make it look so beautiful. Sorry I don't comment much, but have been watching you both for a number of years and I LOVE your videos. I hope you're enjoying it here as much as it seems. Big love to you both!
Come to south wales, we have lots of castles. Llansteffan castle has a unbelievable view looking over the beach and the estuary. You can go all the way up the stairs right to the top.
“I don’t want to talk to you no more, you empty-headed animal food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries.” i love that movie! lol
Love Monty Python, John Cleese awesome actor he is my favorite. didn't care for the movie but loved the show. My dad loved the movie and the show it was our favorite thing to watch together.
Brilliant, Been looking forward to seeing this one . Another epic presentation. Pity you weren't there in August when there was less scaffolding inside the castle for the lineups . Be great to see a upload of you both talking about your UK and European adventures when you finish your journeys
Great shots, love the way you guys line them up. Beautiful castle, so happy to see you are combining walking real and movie history while you are here.
Love watching you two living your fullest lives seeking out all these amazing locations and following your dreams. This is an awesome channel, with two very cool people. Thankyou for sharing it all with us. My go-to escapism 🤘
easily one of the most quotable comedies of all time! thanks for the trip down memory lane. glad to see them preserving that wonderful place. these castles are places of wonder for us movie and history nerds. i'd love to get lost there with my camera, except for that place that smells of rank cheese. a quote from a certain Jessica great work you two! PS, would it have been too much to ask for one "NI"?
You hooked me to your amazing channel with lost boys and goonies. Ive never looked back since. Both of you are great at what you do and the detail you put into it is amazing.
22:48 Michael breaking character was the funniest part of the scene. When he wasn’t expecting Jessica to… Oh just watch it I’m not going to ruin it. BEAUTIFUL piece guys, thank you for posting this video! Incredible shots of Jessica inside the windows. That was framed so well. Thanks guys!
Hilarious movie! BTW, the German title is "Ritter der Kokosnuss" which means "Knights of the Coconut" in English. Certainly a cult classic!! Best scene for me was the fighting scene with the Black Knight- "Tis but a scratch" ;-)
The Holy Grail is one of my favorite documentaries from the Early Medieval era and rare seeing actual film footage from the period. Fabulous tour detailing all the different camera angles, as amazing as Monty Python's ability to create so many different scenes from one location. Now understand why the cow was catapulted over the wall, difficult walking a cow up those stairs and passageways. Watched a British series filmed in Newcastle and would google search locations and learned about those location techniques. Once the characters leave a shop and running around lost, all filmed in the alley behind the cafe at different angles and T intersections framed the views. Many homes and businesses were leased for a day filming while undergoing renovations (google street views were the same period as filming). Another leaving the show's main building, the courtyard opens on a busy commercial street, so they cut to the residential street at the rear of the large property. Amazing how creative camera magic creates different perspectives.
This is on my bucket list. Can I take Jessica with me? She’s just too much fun! I love your videos across the pond so much I don’t want them to end. 💚🖤
JESSICA PLEASE YOU MUST WATCH OUTLANDER!!! Since she loves everything Scottish, that show will be right up her alley. First episode is meh, but it quickly gets pretty awesome once we get to 18th century Scotland!! Love you two, thank you Grim and Lady Grim for sharing your adventures with us all :)
Ah, one of the finest movies ever made. Lol! I saw Monty Python and The Holy Grail for the first time as a kid back in the 1980s (believe it or not) and I have to say, it's pretty cool to see the castle where it was filmed again after all this time.
Hi my ghouls, Thank you for another great movie. I love your movies because you tell the story and history behind them in a way that makes them stand out. Have a great holiday! Happy Halloween forever
I love your videos but THIS!!! This was spectacular! You’ve outdone yourself so bad news! The bar from now on is superbly high!!! Keep up the good work, look forward to seeing what happens next 🎉😊
What a wonderful video!!! The shots were amazing. I want to visit so bad. I did like Princess "Leia" blowing raspberries, though. The weather was perfect...gray. Oh, 90% of the time it is like that. LOL Just like the movie. Great storytelling, edits, and progression...excellent. I do want more though....lol.
Much appreciated! You made our day! Absolutely one of our favorite movies! Ty Mike & Jessica! Luv&Peace from Sean&family, & a warm Cheers from Canada! ❤✌🏼💫 Absolutely beautiful shot and edited! Thanks so very much for sharing this with us all! 😊

Gotta say, Jessica's rendition of the French soldier was awesome, had me laughing out loud. Brilliant video, brightened my day, cheers

I've read from a few sources that he loved Monty Python. The king knew the score
