Angelina Jordan es en mi opinion una cantante incomparable. No solo por todos sus logros a pesar de su corta edad, también por su inteligencia, pasión, originalidad, profesionalismo, intrepidez, etc. Aunque Angelina es cantante de jazz, lo cual requiere mas que técnica que la tiene y mucho (en el manejo de los tiempo, en la precisión de las notas, etc) lo mas destacable es su musicalidad. Un robot, un programa pueden cantar con una técnica excepcional, pero nunca tendrán musicalidad. Angelina tiene ambas cosas, eso sumado a la particularidad de su voz la convierte para mi en lo mejor que escuche en mi vida y en la mejor cantante (mujer u hombre) de la actualidad. Angelina no necesita griterío, ni el uso de agudos o graves en exceso, ni una super producción detras, le basta y sobra con su voz. Su voz es musica. Me gustaria ver y escuchar cuantos cantantes profesionales podrían cantar los temas clásicos y exitos que ella canta con su misma edad. Me gustaria ver y escuchar cuantos cantantes profesionales pueden incurrir en diferentes géneros, jazz, blues, country, pop y sacarle brillo a clasicos y exitos musicales. Angelina es cantante de jazz, en mi opinion el genero mas dificil de cantar por sus orígenes. El cantante de jazz es un trovador, es un narrador de historias, un contador de alegrías y tristezas. Un cantante que no te llegue hasta la médula con su canto no puede cantar jazz y para mi en esto Angelina es la mejor. Pero Angelina no se encasilla, no tiene limites. Cante el genero que cante lo convierte en oro como el rey Midas. No tengo dudas que en la musica hay un antes y un después de Angelina jordan! Solo puedo sentir la satisfacción con casi 60 años de poder escucharla. Espero siempre con ansiedad su nueva interpretación y nunca a defraudado ni mi corazón, ni mi cerebro, ni mi alma. Gracias por tanta musica!

I've heard from different people of this Angelina Jordan atmosphere that involves you completely and isolates totally you from the rest of the world (public, studio, stadium....) and makes you ONLY AND ABSOLUTELY HEARING HER SONG that's ALWAYS AN ORIGINAL, no matter it's written it's a cover. Angelina is unique and sings unique songs in a unique style! I love her, she transmits all emotions that's why she is magic!!!

Ii have never heard that song performed so sentimentally. Her beautiful voice takes us away again.
Her reach is unescapable. She can emotionally take you somewhere, that takes you out of your comfort zone and make you think and feel, all while your just listening to a song that's being delivered in such a way, you don't realize at first t's just her vocals and the limited support of instruments even that disappears like when your so entuned or immersed with someone, the entire room goes silent and it's just the two of you and you can't explain it nor do you care too! So much is going on that she, is an Orchestra and the overwhelming complexity, feels as simple and honest, that the room and everything in it is gone, so much so, that it never existed in the first place. Even the piano get's in the way. It's like an event and she does it as if there's a whole team of trained experts delivering it so you can have this experience that can move you to tears! at 15. She's been doing it recklessly almost and today she knows and it feels like a more controlled roller coaster ride your afraid to get on, but your the first in line! She's a super hero and she knows her powers. She will incorporate every genre, because she has fans in every genre today and that never happens! From RAP, to EDM, POP and Hard Rock or Country, with her there is no genre. Every word is equal and not just there and every word is song like a song in itself as if the whole thing is meaningless without one of them. It's all her! Who would ever say "I have a great idea, lets have a 9 year old do I put a spell on you" Who? It came from her and everyone performed at their best for a 9 year old! I have seen hard core Jazz experts that would never open the door to the real Jazz world, crumble! and she is still practicing! She becomes more amazing every month it seems. What's next?
I don't think there is a more authentic singer than Angelina. What is amazing is how her voice wanders all around the notes and never sounds off key in the slightest. Even non-verbal sounds she makes that often sound totally random are always in perfect harmony with the music.

It's incredibly delightful to have some sort of "confirmation", letting you know that what you hear really IS as great as you think it is. Sounds silly maybe, but it's not. Not to ME at least.
It's amazing to think 9 years back, to when I first heard her, and to remember what she did to me then. I instantly knew that I'd just witnessed something really extraordinary, and since that day I have been following her, experiencing the amazing progression along the way. -Getting confirmation after confirmation ( 140 covers and 5 originals, OMG) to the greatness and being blown away time and time again, simply awestruck by the way she surpassed my expectations each and every time. I fullheartedly believe that Angelina is, and soon WILL be, recognized as the greatest female singer of all time. I really think she is that good.

Great comment, poolhallshark. However, I thought it was 7 originals---5 she wrote, and 2 written for her: "Song for A", and "Above the Water". In one way you could argue that "I'm Still Holding Out for You" is an Angelina original, since her version was released first ("leaked" without permission from the writer). That's probably a stretch.

'raw' nuance and inflections she learned from Amy Winehouse. She knew that these two
artists use what some people think are defects to properly put a heartfelt ballad across
to bring forth the most natural, human feeling possible for the listener. Amy, being the
most uniquely different jazz singer of all time, is very difficult to mimic, for her style can
change so abruptly in mid-word, or mid-sentence, coupled with slurring words at times.
But Angelina has perfected a way to integrate Amy's raw qualities, with bits of Billie Holiday's,
and even sprinkling in some pure non-jazz essence of Adele. What you get from all this is a
'four pronged' attack where the listener can detect Angelina, Adele, Amy, and Billie, all in
the same song. Don't know of anyone else who is this adept, for to even attempt it, you
would have to be a vocal chameleon (Girl of 1000 voices) and there's only one of them.

Sings a few phrases in a breathy whisper until we expect she's going to do the whole song that way, then slips in two bars in a hard clear voice, and decorates the end bit with a concise run through her entire vocal range. Did you know that she has done a motion picture score for the motion picture The Hating Game. It is the opening song and parts of it are used throughout the movie. The song is Mercy by Duffy and as usual she kills it. This is a milestone for her.
