- The 2012 Forester had a rear caliper develop a seized piston. So in this video we show how to replace the caliper with a new one.
Apparently I never actually showed my diy self-bleeder bottle in previous videos, but like I said, they are simple to make with a little research.

FINALLY I HAVE FOUND SOMEONE WORKING ON A NORTH EASTERN SUBARU 😂 everyones undersides are so clean and not rusty AF and then I get under our cars and I just want to j ot do it*
So much rust! Lol
Thanks for this video. It’s nice to be able to refresh my memory and gather all the correct size wrenches and tools for prep. Makes the process efficient and less stress! Appreciate the lack of music, good quality camera work, and no cussing 👍
Thanks man, glad you found it helpful!
Very informative and just what I needed to work up the courage to replace the rear left caliper on my 2012 Forester. I had the same issue with a rusted/seized piston. Thanks!!
Glad you liked it. Good luck with your replacement!
Great video
Thanks!
Hey great video! Did you remove all the brake fluid before removing the line on the old caliper?
No. Not nessessary.
Thanks for the video!! Anyone else not see any copper washers when they unscrewed the banjo bolt?
Your welcome? Are you asking when I unbolted it? They were there. Or are you asking in a general sense? Question unclear.
