These are pretty sweet deals. I went with the video you made about a month ago, and picked up some discontinued Civivi's. Got a Mini Asticus, Chronic and Appalachian Drifter 2 for about $100 total. Blade HQ has those and the old Sencut models still. The Sencut Honoris is $25 right now. It's a great time to be a knife geek :)
The thinner XTOUC is excellent. Bought it 6 months ago. it's thin, the grip is amazing and the detent gives the knife a real nice release. I highly recommend it.
D2 when compared to 14C28N has better edge retention and better toughness as well. In any test D2 will make almost 50% more cuts if you test D2 from company that know how to heat treat it. Only thing that 14C28N have over D2 is better corrosion resistance. But D2 also have some chromium and it is not going to rust on you that easy, unless you leave it in the ground or something.
One more thing, most of the companys that knows how to heat treat d2 will say their knife is in k110 steel and in 99% of the time you won't be able to tell the difference by checking the steel itself.
I got that first Real Steel a few years ago, it seemed like an awesome deal but the one I got had some problems. Blade play no matter how tight I turned the pivot, uneven tip grind, lock stick. Was just a fail all around. I hope everyone else's experiences were/are better :p
Why do so many knives coming out today look like basic box cutters when closed? Knives, guns and cars used to have character back in the day. Now they all now just seem to look every other knife, gun or car.
I really was interested in that last one you showed with k110 because I really liked the scales style. But unfortunately they don't have it in that pattern from what I can see.
@@maxlvledc Yes, but it could be a region thing with Amazon(?) I'm in New Zealand, maybe they are blocking me from buying? I don't know but I've noticed it before with other knife reviewers that have links - every time I go to them they show "currently unavailable". Frustrating, as I want to buy some knives.
D2 is objectively better than 14c28n and k10. Jesus Christ you should know that.. it isn't even subjective it is as I said. Objectively better and it's more expensive. So being willing to pay more for a cheaper steel makes no sense

@@SimplicityEDC how so? D2 has better significantly better edge retention. The only way it is inferior to 14c28n, is in corrosion resistance. Which if you care for your gear. That's practically irrelevant. I don't care for D2 in a heavy duty fixed blade. As I find it's prone to n chipping, but 14c isn't any better in that aspect. For a pocket knife D2 isn't bad for a lower mid range steel.
@@geraldwilliams497 some people live in areas with constant high humidity, then that corrosion resistance is amazing. 14C will take a sharper edge generally speaking the way it's structured (created for razor blades). LOL 5 minutes in wright that CJRB lol i just bought that knife off amazon its still 28 dollars well 30 dollars even with taxes lol but yeah thank you so much for letting me know about that knife i love the looks of it allot lol i cant wait till it gets here lol also its coming from amazon so it should be here within 2 days from now so im so excited i cant wait lol well 2 days from now is sunday so ill have to wait till monday lol man i cant wait

Love these videos. Without them id have to do trial and error and a bunch of returning on Amazon. Thank you

Yeah that's the one I'm most interested in. Looks fun and fidgety

Well, looks like I’m getting pocket knife 😂
i absolutely love my miguron velona and moyarl definitely some of my favorite budget knives, they go toe to toe with my cjrb pyrite for me
U have to get the akri. Its unreal
Dude that H6 Plus is fantastic. A 14C28N, frame lock for $30, fantastic.
Definitely trust k110 being made to spec more than budget brand D2
Aside from miguron (bc I agree they are the best you can get for the money) But you can pay $5 more and get pretty much any Sencut brand knives!
I can tell that one U lined up first is really well designed like it to

Couldn’t agree more with that Real Steel H6 Plus!
Recently picked up a Founding Forgers knife and it is my new favorite for sure!! Better than some of mine that cost around $100.

Both k110 knives are currently unavailable, for some reason companies dont restock on Amazon so I dont really see it changing
Crazy how fast they sold out
@@maxlvledc what do you think about the petrified fish k110s?
@@orrlicht3718 very very good
like the Miguron front flipper also
Miguron akri is absolutely unbelievable. They could be charging way more
Also Blade HQ is selling off a bunch of discontinued CIVIVIs. Probably the craziest deal is the Baklash for $25 or the s35vn pintail for $45
I really was interested in that last one you showed with k110 because I really liked the scales style. But unfortunately they don't have it in that pattern from what I can see.
I've seen reports that Miguron's heat treat is soft. Thoughts?
Great content! Subbed! Now off to amazon!
I think both 12c28n and 14c28n are the best value steels out there
Hi could you help me am an older guy am 60 and disabled living here in the uk ware can I find 1 of these knives please,
some on Aliexpress
Cool video. I do prefer D2 over 14c28n though
Why is that?
@@t.k.morris just preference mostly. D2 has better wear resistance and edge retention but 14C28N is a good blade as well.
Here we are a day later and the H6 is unavailable on the Amazon link you provide.
Dang, great content thanks for sharing!
Great video !!
My wallet truly hates you right now. I JUST got finished testing out the last knife I got because of one of your videos. Keep doing God's work, son.
Sorry, this is why I focus so heavily on budget knives.
Nedfoss Cougar - if ur looking for a quality button lock
the Xtouc one i mean like it to
the front flipper
If only I could buy them in NY
the xtouc is also available with smooth g10 from rough rider for ~$20 RR2599
2hrs after posting and every single knife listed here is “currently unavailable” on amazon?
Really?!?!

All under $40 but theee are over $50?
The last 3 were just to round out the Miguron comparison. I didn't purchase them this time around.
Wtff the H6 is already unavailable
👍🍻

Hi
1 K !
Beware. There are a ton of cheap Chinese knock offs on Amazon.
True but they must be labeled as clones and if you receive a clone labeled as real they will refund you.
@@KingDeadpool3883 I don't see any of them labeled as clones, nor do I think the seller always knows.
