I prefer a Glock 26 due to the fact that I can use my Glock 19 and Glock 45 mags in the 26. I shoot my 26 just as good as shoot my G19.
I carry a Glock 26 as a EDC. I use Glock 19 magazines with a sleeve to get a better grip.
I prefer the shoot ability of the 26, but the 43x is nice and thin for my slim frame. I’d actually just prefer to skip both for cc and use a 43 or j frame.
I actually rotate between carrying a Glock 27 with an oem .357 Sig barrel and a 43x mos. When I want a little lighter weight I carry the 43x. Both sizes are great for me.
Honestly I have both and I have very large hands so I struggle with the same conflict. I prefer the 43x to carry but I prefer to shoot the 26. I'd say stay with the 26 because it's more shootable. I'd say try out different magazine extensions. Get an OEM +2, hyve +2 try those. I usually do the slr +5 it's nice. Or get an OEM Glock 19 magazine and put a x grip on it.
I’ve carried both the G26 in the past and recently the 43X. I prefer the 43X as it fits slightly better in my big mitts. Reason being it I don’t need a mag extender to shoot comfortably with the 43X, where that’s required for the G26. Just my .02 cents.

Switch your trigger out to the Apex trigger it will help with windage due to the width of the trigger face. Also switch out to shield mag release and use the shield mags. That way you have 15 flush 17 with a pinky length added and 20rd mags

They key to shooting the 26 is not over grip. The short recoil system keeps it very controls with minimal grip surface contact.
If I need something smaller than my G19 i just go to the LCR. I don't get the whole micro 9 craze. The hell cat, sig 365 etc. I categorize those weapons under 'marketing gimmick '.
Would you not like the G19 to fill your hand both ways , better shootability, and bonus extra 5 rounds. I’ve found I can conceal the 19 as well as the 26 or 43x even though I like all of them. Thanks for vids.
I carry the Glock 45 at times. It’s damn near the 19

About of people are cross eyed dominant. This is where a red dot can be of help, and you shoot with both eyes open.

I love the 26 but if the 43 and 43X being slimmer could make a difference for someone carrying or not then it's a great option. If you are now carrying and getting Glock reliability then you're already set up for success.

Actually I’m taking a class and the change for the day(the entire day) was to point my chin towards the target and elevate my sight line. I tend to drop my head.
