what happened to airbnb is that as usual big corporations saw something designed to help low income people make a little more on the side and ruined it.
Changing jobs is no guarantee for increased wages, yes, it's possible but companies usually migrate to cheaper workers. Changing jobs should happen to broaden your skills and arrest boredom.
That’s actually a great question and I am going to be making a video on it soon. TLDR: the algorithm doesn’t like it when you post different types of content on the same channel, so if you want to post different content (like compilation versions of your old videos or history focused content) it’s better to start a whole new channel.
Air bnb will be fine. This is the era of clown corpos because people are selfish, and Airbnb simply stretched itself too far. All this is is a correction in the market. There will still be plenty of people wanting an Airbnb in some county that doesn't gaf about housing prices being gouged.
Thanks for the kind words, this channel will mostly just be collections of my previous videos bundled together on topics that build off one another, so I don’t think we will break the internet here but if people would prefer to watch like this I am happy to make it for them 😀
"No service jobs have tasks consistently delivered on a fine-tuned production line. Work comes and goes as internal and external customers make demands". Realizing this expectation from work made me severily reconsider my career choices. This is completely unrealistic if you work for very specific tech companies that shall not me named. Haha...
Kind of shocked you don’t think they have a moat. I would argue they have a textbook two sided non-localized marketplace. Happy to debate how durable network effects are in practice but a 17% margin doesn’t come without a moat.
In Kenya where I live, Airbnb are just doing fine, first they are still wayyyy more cheaper than hotels with the same level of service, secondly there are no homeowner accociation here for flats where most Airbnb are. Third, it doesn't make sense for landlords to get in the business because of the risk (most landlords also own multiple appartments and managing them would be a hustle since they need a personal touch). And with that there haven't been enough people complaining therefore no serious regulation has been proposed. Actually, in my experience the people who complain the most about Airbnb here are the hosts.
In kenya I'm guessing they don't have massive real estate corporations buying up every scrap of property in the country for three times its value either.
yes they are just old episodes put together with others of the same general topic. People apparently like the long form with no ad breaks so I am putting that up here on this new channel.
Now this is skillful manipulation :). The Airbnb has no moat one was so and so, reviews are important but fine, maybe not a moat. But the 9-5 is not good because some Americans ae ok with being slaves temporarily for more money is horrific mental gymnastics. People who have to be at work but have nothing to do is bad management and they should be paid for it to encouragge managers to doba better job. People's time is their only resource they don't get back, if you waste it, as an employer you should pay. Also, people at work don't buy stuff, who are thr companies selling to if not the employees of other companies. Anyways, can't watch this manipulation further.

Agreed. There’s so many ways to analyze this situation
Nahhh! Airbnb is a rip off! Host Properties are inflated so Airbnb can make money- like uber eats and the rest of them
I love all your content can't wait for this channel to soar too

Oh mo god! Are these my favourites fully edited 10-minutes videos but just extended to 7x times??
Yep that’s pretty much it, hopefully you enjoy watching them like this 😊
Slightly more. 😆 Oh no, you're not getting away with "slightly" more.

Replace "Unskilled workers" with "underprivileged workers"

Best video you’ve made - very informative & insightful stuff

Take a drink whenever he says ‘according to the management consulting firm…’ :). By the way - love the format. I watched this whilst making dinner :)
Ha! Unfortunately they are one of the few groups well funded enough these days to do consistent studies like these.

These are just concatenated episodes right?

I run a few airbnbs and it's great
