the problem with eve is the massive inflation supported by hundreds if not thousands of bots anything you can do in the game other than soloing C5's or those anchors w/e they are called is effectively useless in terms of making money 20 bucks and you have billions thats 1 hour of real world work OR you could farm for 10-100 hours+ for that same amount of money The game HEAVILLY punishes you for being a solo player you cannot effectively compete in manufacturing without having a station in either WH space or null which will be clapped by a group you also cant mine resources as good as the guy who runs 20+ accounts so you kinda (just like in real life) are forced into joining a corp and becoming a cog eve is fun but its also incredibly punishing

In Kenya where I live, Airbnb are just doing fine, first they are still wayyyy more cheaper than hotels with the same level of service, secondly there are no homeowner accociation here for flats where most Airbnb are. Third, it doesn't make sense for landlords to get in the business because of the risk (most landlords also own multiple appartments and managing them would be a hustle since they need a personal touch). And with that there haven't been enough people complaining therefore no serious regulation has been proposed. Actually, in my experience the people who complain the most about Airbnb here are the hosts.

Air bnb will be fine. This is the era of clown corpos because people are selfish, and Airbnb simply stretched itself too far. All this is is a correction in the market. There will still be plenty of people wanting an Airbnb in some county that doesn't gaf about housing prices being gouged.

One thing about War bonds, in addition to raising money for the war effort, their more important reasons for existing are to fight inflation and minimise private consumption of resources (away for the war effort). Every pound* that goes into buying war bonds is a pound that can't be spent buying a new private car that diverts labour and steel, rubber etc away from the war effort. *I used pound in this example because Keynes spend the last several years of him life financing the British war effort. If they want fights, they have to make it viable. Meaning, they have to make ships cheap, and reward higher than the cost of the ships so as to make it worth the effort and prestige. There are simple mobile games delivering this already.

The main difference between the economy in EVE and that of the really-real world is the lack of loans. Corps and alliances cannot borrow money as a means to finance anything, as the game has no enforcement mechanism to use against those who don't repay the loans. Without loans, the only way to pay for wars is to save up the money for them. Corps (usually) do this with "mining operations" (basically, contributions of labor to pull in commodities for use by the corp). However, formal alliances have the game-enforced ability to tax member transactions. But, yeah. Without a systemic means to enforce repayment, nobody in their right minds loans money or resources, in EVE.

The financial system and economy being realistic does create tiny problems compared to what the devs do to it... some years ago they broke industry and caused inflation by "trying to fix the economy" and caused 30% of players to leave. Out of the remaining the poor got poorer and rich 3 to 5x richer Turns out that if you crash the economy people jump ship, just like in real life

As someone who got heavily into EvE last year! It is as close to the real world as any game will ever get. The dynamics of what goes on in that game between the mega alliances, especially in NulSec, will blow your mind, I loved that game. Only reason I’m taking a break is because I deployed to South Korea.
