I think it's sad, that so many women are afraid of a hair cut like this. It's so easy to style and still looks cute when it's unstyled. It can accentuate the face when it's cut right and can vary in length. I think that this is a cut that works for many different hair types and face shapes. One of my favorites.
It really depends. Some of us are stuck on a neat/ polished look. Others its because it can look dated. For me I cannot have slide cutting/ razor on my wavy hair it does not lay right at all. For straight haircut would be nice .
Finally! Someone who understands density. My hairs so thick everyone looses their guide, and very intimidated. It's extremely hard to do the cuts yourself but better than getting lost. Thank you and God bless you as well.

I had a pixie cut and i'm letting my hair grow out 4 the shag look aswell. Medium length bangs 2 the chin and long layers w/natural highlights. Wore this style when i was quite younger.
I was so mad with my stylist for cutting out the shag my sister in law hairdresser gave me when I went home. she gave me awful long layers, and I keep asking her NOT to do that. I found this tutorial and recut my hair. Someone complemented me on my haircut today. LOL. I now understand what language I need to use with my hairdresser, and will be sending her this tutorial so she understands the angle she needs to cut! Thanks so much for this.
Love this cut. And just went from scraggly blonde to brown and shiny. This cut would remove the scraggly ends and give me a new feel. Love it and well done.

I just used this tutorial to cut my daughters hair. She wanted a shag cut but with the bangs like these. I did this hair cut and then tweaked it a bit. She is 31 and won't let anyone cut her hair but me. Not sure why. I used to cut it way back when she was in the AF but now she wants a rocker hairstyle. It looks absolutely brilliant and she LOVES it. Love the videos and will use them many times I'm sure. I have a friend who is 85 and had heart surgery. I had cut hers before surgery and then 5 weeks after surgery (all during the whole covid). I don't know why people trust me but I love helping out where I can.

Me,This is a little shorter then I'm used to but I might try it,I have naturally curly thick hair,down my back,cause I haven't had it cut in awhile,currently I get layers,angled sides & a side bang. Matt, great tutorial! I have had to learn to cut my own hair because I moved and cannot replace my FABULOUS hair dresser I had for 25 years. I would wake in the morning, shake my hair and go the cut was so perfect for my thick heavy wavy hair. I feel your shag is about what he used. The only critique I have about your video is when you started on the top at 4:50 and finished you did not go back through and show the final length and shape of the wet finished cut .... you explained it very well but i would have liked to have seen the final wet cut lengths . \Keep up the tutorials as there are alot of stylists who did not pay attention in class .... put the phones down kids and pay attention. xxx
