So I saw this on another channel. If you get an ultrasonic parts cleaner here is a money saving hack. Get a plastic jar like a peanut butter jar and put your parts in it and put the cleaner in the jar and close it up THEN fill the tank of the cleaner with water and put the plastic jar in there and turn it on and run it. This will save having to throw out a bunch of cleaning solution as you have only the stuff in the jar that is dirty. The waves pass thru the water and into and thru the cleaning solution. Money saved can be used for beer or whatever you like :)
Yes, Jordan, now you're addicted to changing the look of the sporty. I've been thru that too. I got the same air cleaner from TC Bros but in black. Looking forward to seeing the new changes.
I just changed the air filter on my 08 nightster. Went to a 48 style round air filter. The biggest improvement when riding was comfortable because my knee no longer hits the filter when I ride. I like the look of round too on this bike, you see som much more of the heads.
FYI. Carb is the same as a KLR’s. Just different jets but that’s it.
Really excited that I found your channel! Looking forward to watching more 😊
I do like the small size of that air filter. I'm surprised you haven't put a 1250 kit on that bike yet lol. Good vid
It looks good! Looking forward to the sportster rebuild Jordan
Great video thank you must be time for a road test. Just waiting for tires. Thanks again cheers to ya.
Nice job on the new intake.....................Cheers!
I need to do mine. Its been getting progressively worse, and it needs a retune since I installed one of those TC Bro intakes. However, it's been a really good carb for the last 50000 miles. I've never had to clean or work on it other than a couple of choke cables.
Looking forward seeing the Sporty changed in something else.
A dot of grease on washer to keep it from falling off till you get bolt started ....just saying for a friend 🙃
All that work... pretty sure you'll get at least 1 more horse power. 👍🏼
I had that exact breather kit I hated it so removed it and install a similar setup but without the horseshoe thing so basically what I have now is two breather banjo's that each have a tube coming down. My sporty turns 20 in a couple months and i think my accelerator pump gasket is leaking now too. Bought this bike new so not bad for all these years.
Thanks for posting! Been thinking about a new intake on my bike. Gave me some things to think about!
I would replace that elbow with the brass asap.. it is going to snap when you're not expecting it and leave you stranded.. Will save you from sitting on the side of the road waiting on a ride lol
Thanks for the video Jordan
I definitely agree with the stickers and wrap disappearing.
I had that air cleaner and didn’t like the filter that came with mine
It seemed to be a cheap K&N knockoff that had major gaps
I searched hi and low for a quality filter that same size but K&N, Uni and even WIX didn’t make one that size
I ended up with a DK Customs external breather setup
Love your channel. BTW I just noticed that somehow I was unsubscribed. Did re subscribed. Keep them coming…
Yup 👍👌😎
The sissy bar is going? i thought that was pretty cool, but interested to see what it looks like when you're done
Quality "Whata Drag Speciaties" Chinese parts, Right?
Every time you work on your motorcycle, it should get slightly lighter…😂
at least you are spending money on parts and not a series of new bikes like your wife.
