I have listened to Lush for 25 years, always thinking it was the biggest loss in the history of music. I was out walking this morning and listened to them as I have done 100s of times before and decided to look them up online again. I had no clue about this. This makes so incredibly happy!!
AT least they managed to release more than one album, there are far worse stories like Slowdive which was bashed by the critics, Swallow which could release one album and a EP before disbanding or more recently Her's where the duo died in an accident after just two albums.
I missed them in Chicago. They played the same night as the Misfits, and I decided to see the Misfits. Tough choice, but I had seen Lush before and thought they might come back. It's a bummer that it probably won't happen again.
@@davidstaudacher7718I live in Nashville but had to fly up to Chicago to see the Lush show. It blew my doors off. I only became a fan after they'd broken up so there was simply no way I could miss this.
Emma still keeps hypnotizing us with her composition (Thoughtforms is still dreamy) and her backing voices. Phil's bass is just fine, like old times. The drummer is doing an awesome job, just as when Chris was on the band. And Miki, you don't have your flaming red hair as it was usual, but you still have that sweet voice of yours. Yep, even though I'll never see them live, I'm completely happy they are back.
Shimmering magic from a great band Got all their eps and albums And just got their superb vinyl collection Wonderful to see them back touring again - wonderful capture of this show
So great seeing Miki and Emma on stage again, saw them in 1996, shortly before the break up. I was blessed to have the opportunity to meet Miki after the show and have been waiting anxiously for this reunion since then! Miki and the band still has it!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
First time I saw them I was quite young and just out of jail for part of the summer, in high school and about to graduate in San Francisco at the Fillmore in 1993. Couldn't have been better.
Being one of my favorites, I would be out of control for sure watching this concert. An amazing band that had some misfortune yet they have left us with a body of work that is incredible.
These two women instill a feeling inside me not unlike that of the discovery of the novel in nature itself . Melody and harmony from heaven itself. thank you so much
I've been a deejay for many years here in Udine in Radio Onde Furlane. And I remember as today when a new Lush song was available was on air. No internet so our beloved record store knew.. Thank you very much for this video
4:43 Is it just me,or does their Gala era songs just sound better?Maybe it was more effortless for them for some reason.Even though i like Split, its like they where trying to hard or something.Phil sounds great on the older songs too, maybe thats the reason, even though he wasn't the bassist at that time.
Miss the band so much. This band is magic. I have listened to Light from a Dead Star thousands of times and is one of the best songs ever. Became friends with them in San Diego at 91XSunfest and even joked how STP stole the lick from For Love for Big Bang Baby. Saw them soon after at the Stone Palo Alto and then the Fillmore and met up in London. So terribly sad when Chris passed away. This reunion was amazing and hope it will happen again. Best to Miki, Emma and Phil. - Chris - Specialized Bikes
My friends and I adored Lush growing up. Bought tickets to both NY shows even though I now live half way across the country. We followed them around like puppies whenever they played and I guess you can't teach an old dog new tricks! Side note, named my daughter Emma!
Uh Oh. Light From A Dead Star, Emma. It's the lyric on the Split cover I bought in 1996. I also discovered Everything But The Girl at that time. Bought the two latest by them in 96 at the Virgin music store in NYC Including Missing and the Terry Todd remix. This was same timeframe and better. I mean Let Me Try To Pull You Free. ❤
I was so incredibly disappointed to not be able to see them in 2016 when they came through. Thank you for posting this. One of my favorite bands of the late '80s / early '90s. I caught the Lush bug in '89 but had to wait until "90 for them to come to Los Angeles with the incredible Cocteau Twins. Saw them again the next year with Ride, another of my favorite bands. I think my ears are still ringing from that concert. Bravo for this posting. Great sound.
No objections whatsoever, thank you, really love and miss this band. Praying for a fully funded large tour of small venues that allow for intimate shows. This band was always nice and fun, let's not kill the spirit.
Getting a bit overexcited about The Roundhouse in London tomorrow night :-) Last time I saw them was in a long closed venue beneath the Westway (Subterania), back in the day. Never thought they'd be back.
I wish Lush would have released a live CD and DVD so this way we could always have something with them remember them by I know everybody says all he could use your your computer or iPhone but at the same time it's not the same as a big TV screen
Thanks so much for this, excellent quality. Gutted that Lush never made it to my neck of the woods (Singapore) considering Ride and Slowdive did (Slowdive twice!). Still waiting for MBV!
Thanks to everyone for this video and superb audio. I have just purchased the new Blind Spot EP and it stands up to the classics of theirs although Desire Lines will never be bettered. So glad they have re-emerged...Bliss.
The drummer did a fantastic job of stepping in for the late, great Chris Ackland.
Justin Welch was the drummer. He plays in Piroshka with Miki now.
And a huge friend of Chris, also. That's why he agreed to do this. Indeed, he plays with Miki in Piroshka now.
he was elastica's drummer!
His vibe is very similar to Chris as well
why was he late

Same story for Curve (same kind of music).
Slowdive's together again, too.
Pale Saints reforming I think
Graham Collinson You are not the only one ❤
AT least they managed to release more than one album, there are far worse stories like Slowdive which was bashed by the critics, Swallow which could release one album and a EP before disbanding or more recently Her's where the duo died in an accident after just two albums.
They kept the sound and all the details from their original recordings, even the singing. Brilliant!
"Sweetness and Light"...so good to hear that gem again...Miki looks good, the band sounds good, too....like it's 1994 all over again.
OMG wish they could do one more tour...❤
'De-luxe' captures the period, for me, more than any other song. Absolutely magnificent song.
Missed this tour in the states, one of my top all-time life bummers. Found out they came through a couple weeks after. Devastated.
I missed them in Chicago. They played the same night as the Misfits, and I decided to see the Misfits. Tough choice, but I had seen Lush before and thought they might come back. It's a bummer that it probably won't happen again.

OMG! I can't believe I totally missed the reunion and even another 4 years later to know about this. I must have in a cryogenic state.
I hear you, just learned about that reunion
She's Still Gorgeous ;) :) Her and Emma Anderson ;) :)
Their "Sweetness and Light" sounds fantastic.
_you are an apple in disguise_
One of England's finest. RIP Chris.
I really want Lush to come to NYC !!?🎊🎉 I play Spooky over & over still to this day. Nothing compares to it.
I'm wearing my Lush t-shirt today, on thanksgiving!
Bloody brilliant this is....took me back, still one of the best, Miki still sounds amazing, can't believe it was 93 when I last saw them live.
Miki's red wine spectacular hair. ❤️ MIKI❤
Shimmering magic from a great band
Got all their eps and albums
And just got their superb vinyl collection
Wonderful to see them back touring again - wonderful capture of this show
Solid Love.
Amazing. Miki is one of my favorite all-time front-women and song writers.
Desire Lines will always be my favourite from them and this performance is pretty much flawless

Saw them in NYC last night! They were perfect.
PLEASE tell me the crowd was into it! Lush deserves no less.
I had no idea they reunited, and they sound absolutely amazing still! Loved them when I was a teenager.
Saw them in Vancouver this week> Amazing!!! Felt like it was 1992 again.
Miki says "Hello!" I always love how she engages the crowd. So excellent ❤
Please come to denmark. My favorite band ever. Thanks for posting
Bon spectacle! (8 ans plus tard)-ca dompte autant aujourd'hui!😀
It is a good audio. I'm glad I found this. Lush still raises the hairs on me.
I like that a bridge comes right after the first chorus in "Lit Up".
Fantastic Band.
First time I saw them I was quite young and just out of jail for part of the summer, in high school and about to graduate in San Francisco at the Fillmore in 1993. Couldn't have been better.
I saw them on this tour and they sounded amazing. I think it was about 25 years between concerts for me.
Goosebumps
This is really good. Wish I had been there.
Still got it!
"Scarlet" is beautiful!
Gawrd i love them. There’s a nice video from the Warfield in San Francisco on this tour as well, with good sound.
Being one of my favorites, I would be out of control for sure watching this concert. An amazing band that had some misfortune yet they have left us with a body of work that is incredible.
Sounds totally awesome on headphones
Man this takes me back
Lush in every sense
Great post
Sounds pretty damned good on Mach 2s, too :->
I was never a fan of them in the 90's, because there was so much stuff going on, musically. But I'm certainly a fan now. Amazing shoegazing! :)
Man were they good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lush are simply lush 🤘
I discovered them when I heard Etheriel for the first time in the early 90's..since that day I knew that I would listen to this band for years
I'm new to Lush but love the sound - underrated band
In my humble opinion Out of Control is the best thing out of 2016.
I WAS THERE!
This makes me so happy.
So good.
These two women instill a feeling inside me not unlike that of the discovery of the novel in nature itself . Melody and harmony from heaven itself. thank you so much
Combine both of their powers and you get Elizabeth Fraser
@@Justinhomiiah Liz Fraser, there will never be another.
I've been a deejay for many years here in Udine in Radio Onde Furlane. And I remember as today when a new Lush song was available was on air. No internet so our beloved record store knew.. Thank you very much for this video
I saw Lush a couple of times in Toronto. It was a great time for underground music.
Toronto was a lot of fun back then. Not so much anymore.
Mums with guitars. Still a great sound and lyrics !
Getting into this band what a great set
31:15 untouchable...very nice,even the drummer liked it!!!
4:43 Is it just me,or does their Gala era songs just sound better?Maybe it was more effortless for them for some reason.Even though i like Split, its like they where trying to hard or something.Phil sounds great on the older songs too, maybe thats the reason, even though he wasn't the bassist at that time.
For the true punk rock connoisseurs--49:13
The drummer and I were both mesmerized.
It's wonderful to listen this band after many years. Thanks. Greetings from Madrid.
Thank you so much for posting this
Saw Lush twice in Tokyo including the last gig before Chris passed... Love their whole sound and Miki is unreal.
Comme c'est bon !!!!!
Still sounding really good ❤
Miki and Emma, still beautiful after all these years. Miki's voice still sends shivers down my spine.

Still sound amazing!! God, I pray they reform again! I learned of their reunion like 3 days after they played in Chicago. Was so upset I missed them.
they are an art masterpiece - opinion
This just made me so happy!!!!!
wow this is the best gift ever it feels so good to hear them again and they still got it thank you all that made this happen
My friends and I adored Lush growing up. Bought tickets to both NY shows even though I now live half way across the country. We followed them around like puppies whenever they played and I guess you can't teach an old dog new tricks! Side note, named my daughter Emma!
Keep going, guys!
Awesome. Thanks for the memories ! Great band and one of the finest live bands too!

That bass is so beautiful in "Scarlet".

Hey, lots of us, we love rush. I will never thank that band enough. Always LUSH!
Great job man. This video (and the way you built it) is a winner.
I wish I’d known about this tour at the time. It was such a good setlist too. I can only hope they’ll eventually play again.
¡¡Maravilloso!!
