I have another build for your anni: 2xRAC5 in your arms and 4xLBX2 or AC/2 in the torso (I prefer LB because they have better range and pretty much have no spread). Fire both at the same time and I can assure you that (provided you're supported) you'll peel away the armor near instantly. You have plenty of room for ammo and you stay cooler for longer. Plus, the faster rate of fire ensures better long term damage.
Yesterday i did your Mad Cat MkII-A build and left a trail of broken enemies on the battlefield, but i don´t have enough monetary reserves to build this one, so i have to make some C-Bills before i can join your bullet hell. Given that amount of projectiles raining down i can´t help but feel a bit sorry for everyone on the recieving end... XD

Empee ya I've never been convinced by the arm points in the Annihilator, but it does give more peak potential. By this buld would probably be just as or more effective without the 2s
The 2s have almost the same DPS as the 5s (2.78 vs 3.01) but better damage per heat and fewer crit slots. I'd actually drop the 5s down to 2s and bump the engine up and take some heat sinks/ammo.

my king crab has the speed for an IS assault mech, i highly recommend swaying that light engine for an xl and try to remove these do steel structure, stockpile on ammo then heat management, u should be able to handle your ammo and heat. and i need advice, i ran out of soots , should i keep the endo steel because of the powerful engine, or make the engine super weak soo i can carry more ammo, or remove ends steel and get an XL engine
depends on the Assault, I still wouldn't put an XL on the missile landing pad a Krab is. now, Victors, Zeuses, Battlemasters? those work with XLs a lot better.
Tried this build a few minutes agao and it didnt even kill a medium before i got blown up not sure what im doing wrong. Really like the build but it just dont seem to do they same damage or as quickly. Does it make a difference what tier your in
The "S"is a "Special" variant that you can get when you buy the collectors pack. It has a custom camo pattern and a 30% C-Bill Bonus. Apart from it it is the same as the regular variant.
I've managed 4 Rotary 5's on my 2A. Exceptionally hot but has a firepower of 218. At +10 damage per second each, a 4 second burst will do 160 damage... IF you can hold it on target. :D
I'm probably crazy but I was just thinking how insane a rotary lbx would be. Anyways, I like this build though I'd probably drop the AC2s, perhaps, for more ammo or different engine, just depends what I use more often. OH, post edit, but I forgot MW4: Mercs had Rotary AC20...now I want to play MW4...
ya, not entirely sure about canon, I remember seeing the option when watching Kanajashi's lets play of MW4M, I never got the MekTek when I had the game. But still there are some many things you could do in other MW games I wish you could do in MWO, like put clan tech on IS and vice versa, STUPID BALANCE lol. Lets hope we get more options in MW5.
The build I run is similar, but I think it's a little better. 2AC10, 2RAC2. TONS of ammo and good heat management. It got me my record damage: 1553, 7 kills most damage dealt *edit* I just got 1495, 7 kills most damage dealt
Why do friendlies always insist on walking through auto cannon fire? Most of my builds are ballistic and it gets annoying or worse when you end up damaging or destroying a friendly.
Better on a Fafnir than an Annihilator. mostly because you know exactly where both Hgauss are going. I've wiped out half an enemy team in mine before. all about waiting for the Ambush opportunities.
Annis ARE pretty easy to headshot if you know where to aim. course, key is having facetime with one long enough to line that shot up, which can get painful in a hurry.
eh, some Assaults they shine on, like the Nightstar. had the arm mounted ones on it saw clean through Dire Wolves and Kodiaks in fairly short order, and that's with only two RAC/5s.
This mech and its build are weak. It is only capable of taking out three or four clan mechs single handedly. I think it needs some buffs. I'd start with adding more armor, at least another 50 points all over, and then move on to reducing the RAC jam time. They REALLY need to increase the time that one can fire those continuously before they jam up. I'm thinking if they can get it up to around 20 or 25 seconds that would be ideal. If PGI did this then I think you'd have a mech that could handle five or six clan mechs by itself. Load up a faction play group with twenty four of these beasts and the clans wouldn't stand a chance. Hell, the clans probably wouldn't even bother to play faction matches any more.
+Clench Eastwood Gauss rifles don't fire bullets either(and explosives make no difference, you can have inert shells or explosive bullets). Bullet is derived from a french word meaning "small ball". Even the "machine guns"(look to be 25-35mm) on mechs would actually be termed autocannons by todays standards, and fire shells/slugs.

The amount of time u werent moving forward bugs me, esp as your asking for a push. I feel like if u had pushed forward more, u might have died but u would have done at least as much damage but also made the victory much more likely and onesided with that much DPS. Also dont be afraid to cook yourself, if it means an extra 300 or so damage
hot, multiple velocity ... this is not a good build . it work if a single guy just look at you like its happen in this vid and because the chassis is just excellent. in a hotter map, or with more than a single ennemy in front of you this build worth nothing
its true, but the real problem (and the reason why i'm a bit salty) is that there is so much builds that work very well with ANH and wich is ensured to work on most of the situations. (4LBX ML anh-1X ; 6 UAC2 anh-2A for exemple..) - SHD2 (im not sure if you remember me but we played together/against few times)
pff usless build in situations like this it MAY work but still not well and should remind that if your assault manages to flank enemy without drawing attention to himself its win win with pretty much ANY build, still main question remain how will you do in 1 to 1 with another assault with proper build ?(6 ac5 / 5 lbx10 / 2 Rac5 WITH cooling / 2 HG and so on) after you deal your 2 horrible dps seconds (which dont kill assault) youre DONE.

Double rotary 5 on Marauder MAD-3R is alot of fun. High mount and decent armor, you can storm the front ;)

I do twin RAC5s with SRM4 and 2ML on a roughneck. I'ts not mastered yet, but it has a heat management of 1.03 :D

You already get a ton of cockpit shake reduction speccing coolrun. The main annoyance factor is the exaggerated explosion FX on RACs.

Dangit. It only took 3 weeks since I found this combo to make it on MM. Side note, it also works pretty well on a KC.

XL engine on an assault is like speeding in traffic. No one's going to come up and beat you up if you keep doing it but it's against the law. :)

if you rip out the AC/2s could you upgrade the AC/5s to RAC/5s?
Ghost heat would be an issue then. RAC5s and RAC2s are in the same linked ghost heat group. So it wouldn't work.

On my anny i use 6 lbx 2's with many tons of ammo. I get many games where i do 1000 or more dmg.
