Ive been running this build for a while now, its just so much fun. Pick an assault and tag along and finish off everything the assault attacks. Glad to see you enjoy it too.
Shadow Hawk is one of, if not THE best medium: varied hard points on all variants, high mounts, good hit boxes and every variant is jump capable. Not to mention that it looks really sexy even with it´s 55 tons of weight!

Thanks for the loadout. It's giving me ideas for my Bushwacker, which currently is running 2 RAC-2s in the nose. I barely notice the muzzle flash in it, but because they're mounted lower I have to expose myself more to dish out the dakka. If I can free up the tonnage and scrape up the C-bills for a new engine, I can go with 3 RAC-2 and take advantage of the high mount as well. Two things I've noticed though: 1. I can maintain a much higher overall rate of fire by not running the RACs into the red. The cooldown is much shorter when it's not overheated. 2. The RACs are extremely effective at long-range suppression. You sacrifice a little damage, but you can keep up to three enemies pinned in cover when they know they get splashed as soon as they peek. If they don't coordinate a push, you can set up a great base of fire for another lance to flank the pinned enemies.
Adapted this build to my Bush-HR. Rather fun. Just listening to the RACs makes it enjoyable. Thanks for the build & RAC skill tips. - Paunchiest Pilot.
Love this build, I am actually running it with half a ton less of ammo, went for ferro fibrous, stripped some more armor from legs and light engine 250. It's a little less mobile, but safer, because I can dead side with my right torso. Anyway the triple rac2 is deadly, you literally dig through enemy armor.
I used to run fire support with a Shadowhawk 2Xac5s + 1 ac2. button 1 was alpha, button 2 was ac5s on chain fire, button 3 was ac2. Holding down buttons 2 + 3 was awesome for component shredding and cabin shake.
Heheh we play a lot of similar setups, my build is almost identical and I absolutely love it. :D (even before the buff! Can't wait to try it now) I see the RACs have proper geometry now too 👍

I messed with this kind of build the other day for the lulz and had some fun. While entertaining, it does have 1 notable problem in that sustained fire blinds you on the left a bit. I've been pulling down some trollish damage numbers though.
Was recently thinking I'd like to see you do RAC2 heavy build, and here you post a vid with its kid sister! I'd love to see you pull out big bro and do a daily dose with a 6 RAC2 King Crab. While I'd be happy with just that, I think it'd be amazing to watch if you played it as a brawler aiming specifically and exclusively for headshots. Fairly trolly, but it'd scare and/or blind so many people, completely shut down a lot of players not to mention that many rounds downstream might actually take out some cockpits.
tons of chained lrm5s are still my favorite supressing fire. Kintaro GB is amazign for it and for grinding cbills. chain for supressiion, sync fire to push through AMS.
I did something similar with a Dragon 5N, it worked but wasn't as spectacular as triple U/AC 2s. Wondering if the buff would make a difference there as well.
If you are stepping to the right it's almost negligible, if you are crossing left, though, all you see is flash and smoke. It's the only complaint I have about any of the Ballistic ShadowHawk builds, you can blind yourself half the time.

Can you do a madcat mk2 build with 2 uac5s in arms a ppc and 2 medium lasers in torso with 2 lrm10s as well? I just built it, and I like it and wanted to know your opinion on it, I used the left most variant in the store.
Wont lie got back into MWO on a whim then remembering beef, found you and now I've been spamming the game loving this same build as well as the 2K with dual heavy PPC. Ones sustain the other just plunks and rips open armor from tards who forget you are there in range.
Running a Marauder with Triple R-AC2s and 4 ER-Meds... Your build is real good for mobility and is very good for early harassment and late back crits.. However Piranhas eat this mech for lunch, as a matter of fact they are awesome for rear criting all mechs that front load armor, Meds, Heavies, and Assaults, so it's not a criticism of your build. Good video.
Molten I think people don't listen to you because, for every one person like you that is giving legitimate and crucial info, there are 10 giving bogus or wrong info.
# 27 actually, i think the player didn’t see the urbie And didn’t have a chance for a shot. It’s not he want listening, He was shooting what he could see. His responses and perceptions weren’t as fast as molten metals
I've noticed that a lot in these vids. Dude will make a command over comms and then gets frustrated when his team doesn't immediately act on it. He's a good player but needs to appreciate that other players are busy or under load already, or might not hear him. Stuff like "OK guys we need to push in C4 let's go" and pushes C4...without waiting to hear confirmation that anyone else is in position or is gonna join. Also calls out priority targets that just happen to be in his line of sight, like [cyclops walks in front of him] "everybody target the cyclops!". Never waits for ack.
I don´t like the rotary-guns, because you see nothing, you need facing-time, and the biggest point: You are distracted, because you are in a kind of dakka-rage-mode ... you forget anything around you and your mech-status because its soo cool ;-) Btw: People sometimes don´t listen, because if they are in a fight, sometimes they can´t understand anything, especially if people are mumbling + there are a lot of people with a bad mic or wrong settings.
If you're really interested, why people don't listen to you - it's quite simple really. Most players shut down VOIP, because there are no need to listen to mumbling that happens most of the time.
what's up with the lack of whining in an online game? Seen a corona sized handfull of these videos now, and I can only remember seeing whining in chat once. You sure these are not bots? :P
Sorry, I am not doing this to annoy you but because my muscle memory is used to the crosshair being dragged by the circle. Arm lock feels extremely sway-ish to me.
90% of TH-cams (YTr) I watch do not look like they sound... You look just like you sound lol. One YTr I watch every now and then for Crossout videos sounds like he's Hispanic, but then I saw a video of him later and he's Asian?.... It's kinda like when you hear a sexy female voice behind you only to turn around and it's a paper sack with a nice body (if you know what I mean).

Yeah I've ran this for a while as well, great intimidation factor and just very fun in general.
The circle should be moved to a random center on the map every battle imo.

I use a similar build but in a marauder 3r, I think the racs may be a bit lower in that though.

In my Triple RAC2 build, I would have them bind 1,2,3 and never fire them at the same time. Just for the look

Balance them the same as in tabletop. Same goes for UACs.

Sometimes I will turn off voice chat if I'm playing with my son, I don't trust gamers to keep the language out of the salty sailor level.

Remember a lot of people run without VoIP, due to how shit people can be.

Battletech is different era. No rotary autocannons there. They come a lot later in the timeline.
There is also a build with 3 AC/2. But PPCs are just better, since they deal twice as much damage and have a better damage/weight ratio.

Tyler Yup thats my preferred mech for this build as well. Shadowhawk is bit too easy to kill compared to bushwacker for RAC builds.

Arm lock of objectively worse. Mouse acceleration bar in Warthunder is not the way to get anything done.
