I love how these games are evolving. They learned to use easy-to-micro units in order to defeat you and then you come back with a counter strategy. It is great!
It's amazing. I played 2 games against him, we won easily the first game and so naturally I went with the same strategy but he completely countered it in just a single game and we lost. Scary good
I came in here to immediately shit talk and say "Ha, I'd win" before I watched you ransack three mineral lines with Reapers while all four players flailed around trying to survive. I apologize for my thought crime.
Now I'm wondering how well challenges like this would work in Brood War. On the one hand, Brood War is a "more technical game" in a lot of ways, so presumably that helps the pro. But on the other hand, Terran in SC2 is an ultra mobile harass monster and very good at self-healing in a way that no Brood War composition tends to be. There's no reapers in brood war. Brood war dropships are a lot worse than SC2 medivacs.
HOW do you look at a bunch of stalkers for one second, stalkers that are not blinking, and decide that they have blink based on the way they move. It's so impressive.
From what I could gather, he thought that they got there too quickly, and thus would've blinked there, and got it confirmed, when they got back into vision of the reapers, after they had outrun them.
@@moresah The difference is… is that he voices what he is thinking… which a lot of streamers don’t necessarily do because some stuff may seem obvious or redundant.
It’s incredible to watch your multitasking skills… especially considering you’re just narrating exceptionally in the meantime. All your videos, especially 1vX are incredibly entertaining. Well done man!!!
This whole game was very impressive. My favorite part was around 25:31 when the Protoss army chased the marines against the ledge with the tanks in support. It get very cinematic, imagining being one of those marines on the ledge, hoping for medivac rescue while lightning rains from the sky.
late game marc: yeah I'll leave a drone bc I'm such a nice guy. early game marc: his last building is burning, give em a slow death (jk jk it was a beautiful game, I just felt the pain for a fellow bronze)
this is just me, but what do you think about getting a ghost academy in this type of challenge? There's probably some obvious reason I haven't thought of why that's a bad idea.
The medivac healing upgrade would be super useful in a 1v4 with marine medivac play. Taking 4x as many fights, the fusion core + upgrade (250/250 total) might be worth it, and it might be the first time in sc2 that this upgrade would be worth it LOL
I’d imagine If each player massed a certain unit in particular it would just be too hard to keep up with. Mid-Late game 3-4 base Zerg can remax baneling supply in a minute if you let them. Rounds of 75-100 banelings at a time would just be too much damage to deal with
Had they planned their teamwork they could have focused on feeding the two higher level players money. Kept them with a low number of workers so they could nearly max their armies and just drown you in units.
Impressive stuff. Have you moved the various series over to membership? It's been a while since last. I saw a sky terran finale video posted a couple of weeks ago, and then it disappeared.
I would dig if you either uploaded the losses prior to this, or kept them on your twitch a little longer. It's fun to watch all the games to see the evolution of your strategy, and also to give a little bit of glory to the 4 players so their victory can be on display for at least a while.
Hey, quick question, uThermal. I notice that when you build your first rax, a preview of an engineering bay is always the first thing to show. Why is that? Oh, and have you ever built an engineering bay on accident?
I've noticed the same thing, I know the reason he does it is to check the build grid so he can place his rax in the correct spot right away (it's cheaper than a rax). How he does it so fast... I have no idea. It could be a rapidfire hotkey or just uThermal APM!
ebay costs 125 rather than 150 for a rax, so youre able to select it before you have enough minerals to select the rax. uthermal does it so when he gets exactly 150 minerals he can instantly select the rax and click without wasting time making sure he is building the rax in the correct spot (because he already lined his mouse up to the perfect spot by using the ebay building preview)
@@NastyNate888 its not that hard. I do it and im only diamond. with the worker selected you just hit B>E to bring up the ebay, move your mouse to position the ebay where you want the rax to go, hit escape, and then whithout moving your mouse hold down b. as soon as you have 150 minerals the rax will be selected and you just have to left click. no APM required.
Hey Uthermal, I'm a big fan of yours from Mexico City. I wanted to propose that we have a 3vs1 match, you against me, my brother, and cousin. The three of us are in the platinum league and play Terran, Zerg, and random. We would love for you to give us the opportunity. We've always been curious if we could win against a professional of your level
Hello, I want to offer you an interesting idea for a video. Let another player play, and you tell him through the microphone. This will show how important macro is and not micro
Would it be good for a zerg to play just economy and defense. If zerg are supposed to be bases ahead, get those bases but give the money to players with units who will use it better
One guy in teamgame rush for BC/carrier is a foolproof strat. mass carriers mostly are unbeatable. Also if they really wanted to win they just attack together, micro is one thing and massively outnumbering your opponent is another.
There are two ways to go about this, IMO. One is everyone turtle macro into mass high tier unit and attacking together. The other is staggered all in. For the turtle macro, everyone should be building a normally unreasonable amount of static defense in every base and camp all the army in all the mineral lines, don't even try to respond to his actions. Make it so that he can't kill a base(or econ thereof) unless he uses most, if not all, of his army and even then, make it slow and costly. On a per player basis, you will be behind on econ and army by a lot. But between two or three players let alone four, you will still have numerical advantage. And when the total army supply reach 300 or so, attack, just a move from all directions at once. For the staggered all in, the goal is to minimize his harassment potential and economy while allowing only one or two player to build up a death army to win the game. One player should hard ling or reaper rush, an early pressure to force his units to stay home and not expand. Doesn't need to work for long, just buy 1-3 minute. One player should static defense spam his natural and third in the mean time, so that he can't expand easily even when he finally suppress the aforementioned rush. This might buy another 5 min or so, given he'd be stuck on one base while trying to break a decently established defense line(and the first player can still support a bit with units) The rest build up, in relative safety, a winning army like BC/carrier and roll in once he finally manage to expand(but before it starts yielding returns). Everyone playing "normally" on their own is a losing strat, as it would mean all of their econ are going to be harassed to hell. Synced attack won't even be able to realized.
love ur channel , but this feels a bit sus and staged - first, would be cool if you also upload the game you loose ^^ , second very strange , they never attacked you really seriously , for example , they know you are with ur whole army outside , but no one took chance to attack ur main , often times , and all 4 player play overly passive n foolish defensive - looks so strange and not authentic to me , just my observation and i wish to see also a example wher they win ^^ , suggestion , best greetings from a fan
This game was garbage….. please dont click bait as it was not a must watch. I will not trust your titles again. It was horrible, as it was not competitive at all. Who cares if its 40 players if they are so bad
Scary good
@faithful451 it's hard to work as a team isn't it. I mean if you all rush you should win easy
I came in here to immediately shit talk and say "Ha, I'd win" before I watched you ransack three mineral lines with Reapers while all four players flailed around trying to survive. I apologize for my thought crime.
Apology accepted, Captain Needa.
While simultaneously giving us an in-depth play by play about everything in a second language...
I've watched enough of these to know I'd get absolutely demolished if I played against him in any of these challenges😂
Now I'm wondering how well challenges like this would work in Brood War. On the one hand, Brood War is a "more technical game" in a lot of ways, so presumably that helps the pro. Could just do put a bunker in each end of your mineral line. Turtle up and tech up.
HOW do you look at a bunch of stalkers for one second, stalkers that are not blinking, and decide that they have blink based on the way they move. It's so impressive.
They were right behind his reapers despite reapers being a little faster. The only way they could've caught up was by blinking.
From what I could gather, he thought that they got there too quickly, and thus would've blinked there, and got it confirmed, when they got back into vision of the reapers, after they had outrun them.
That's gigabrain right there. I don't know a streamer that puts more energy and focus more than uthermal❤
5:38 yeah I was replaying and look at the mini map. he was right, they did in fact blink
@@moresah
The difference is… is that he voices what he is thinking… which a lot of streamers don’t necessarily do because some stuff may seem obvious or redundant.
After that 50% handicap series, full-strength units must make the game feel like easy-mode.
probably a really good way to train for tourneys
Man, starcraft is so enjoyable to watch especially when there's cool stuff like this 1v4.
It’s incredible to watch your multitasking skills… especially considering you’re just narrating exceptionally in the meantime. All your videos, especially 1vX are incredibly entertaining. Well done man!!!
Love your videos! You could do a challenge where you have to protect a bronze player from the enemy. That would be interesting!
Agree! They win if they kill the bronze player.
That would have an entertaining commentary. Therm cannot use any offensive tactics. Just build and defend.
lol - forcing him to do an escort mission with an incompetent npc
Yessssss
Thank you for all the entertainment you provide. You are truly a legend and I really appreciate you!
I'd love to see the other teams POV. In fact, here is an idea for a series... have Winter lead the other team and edit the video to show both sides
1 Baboon Grandmaster and 4 Reaper harass vs 4 regular humans*
I fixed the title for you, uThermal.
😂 the world would be a better place without people/trolls like you. Seriously bro. What are you doing with your life?
32:15 Marc starts rapid-fire casting like a pro-caster while doing a 1v4 LOL
This whole game was very impressive. My favorite part was around 25:31 when the Protoss army chased the marines against the ledge with the tanks in support. It get very cinematic, imagining being one of those marines on the ledge, hoping for medivac rescue while lightning rains from the sky.

Great content Marc hope you make more these.
This. Was. Insane. Absolutely insane. Fantastic game!
You playing aggressive Reapers is a damn nightmare...
you are the best StarCraft streamer!! Love your content!
uThermal youtube short, repeating in my head the whole game: "Micro is SO important..."
That map there was one of the first maps I ever played on ladder on WoL back in 2012. Brings back memories!
Hot damn the micro and multitasking was on fire this game. Love to see the speed 🔥
Not only are you extremely good at the game, but you keep entertaining us viewers at the same time. GG
Early game was bullying.
Mid game was so hectic and exciting
Late game is suspense
The most impressive part about this to me is he commentated the WHOLE time. Omg man
I love these challenges thermy ❤
Came for the uThermal bonkers challenge premise.
Stayed for that _glorious Mutalisk slaughter!_
Brilliant! Most entertaining sc2 content on the platform
Had that autotune "everyone" in the intro
narrating with this precision is like having 1 more enemy. congratz
this is just me, but what do you think about getting a ghost academy in this type of challenge? There's probably some obvious reason I haven't thought of why that's a bad idea.
Maybe he didn't have resourses?
I wish there was a other player view stream of this so we can see what they are thinking.
Very cool game. Such a pleasure to watch masterful play

More like "please watch me destroy these four nerds"
I love these! Please do more!! I'll kick in some cash for a pool prize!
Please continue the X to GM series, it is your most iconic series.
I’d imagine If each player massed a certain unit in particular it would just be too hard to keep up with.

Id love to see 4+ bronze v mark with 50% handicap. A cannon rush would be hilarious to watch defend against.

raising my pulse just watching this nevermind trying to do it

I think that would be interesting to watch games that u lose too🤔
Actually all games with u are cool😅
Thats some great content, Marc!

I love these, even though I'd be like the BLUE 😅 (though if I go for BC cheese, I at least make a tank or two and 5 marines)
Uthermal turned on the jets for this game
God mode ON! 😂😂😂 Well done! 🎉
An idea for a future video: Can you play with a bronze against Serral? Can you beat him 2v1?
It would be cool to see the game you lose sometime :D
the bronze players was MinPax xD
Great name tbh lol
What a great win
Frgn love this stuff!
Still got them skills. Nice game

Do they not coordinate between themselves on the chat ? They miss so many opportunities to do a combined attack that could even be game ending.
Metal League hype
Let's go!
Please upload the game that you've lost, it would be really interesting to watch as well
Hey he’s doing marine/tank, let’s make hydras and zealots?
No banes, no ultras, no colossi?

Only because you said please
Can uThermal + 3 Bronze beat a Diamond + 3 Platinum Players?
I trust you
God this was so good to watch , you are def annoying tf outta them haha

I trust uthermal.
Adiós :)
BTW bronze/silver/gold/plat should be bronze&silver&gold&plat for it to be logically correct.
Just nitpicking as someone with programming experience.
super entertaining!!
I wanna play

Spoiler Shield
1vs2
why do low league players make such dumb units? swarm host? muta???? just make ultras and a move...
Try taking on an actual masters team. Even I, a nobody who only plays on weekends can 1v4 a bronze, silver, gold and plat.
Kinda boring when you're not commentating live lol
