Public Reprimand of Judge Jessica J. Recksiedler

  • Public reprimands happen all the time, but no one ever sees them. Same deal with disbarments and other attorney discipline. Judicial Oversight is here to bring you disbarments, public reprimands, suspensions, and all of the other juicy stuff that our legal system generally manages to keep hushed.
Trivia time: How long does a disbarment last?
(That's right. In many states disbarments are not permanent. Surprise.)

Seriously, Judge Reckseilder is a hard headed, sloppy judge. You’d think a Judge would grow into a better one after that but she continues to advocate for malpractice and honestly has no idea what she’s doing whatsoever in her current criminal justice position. She should resign

It is not, at the root, about speeding. It is about honest and transparency. The commission was that very day questioning her about her driving record. And she got a ticket that morning. How do you not volunteer that info that same day or shortly after?
She doesn’t need to be sent to jail. Or even get kicked off the bench. But a reprimand is warranted, and I’m if it is public. This is a judge after all. They affect a lot of lives based on people needing to truthful.

It would be insulting to you as father... and it would be insulting to this court judges as well. :))))

Then why they do the correction if the correction doesn´t work according to you? :)))
I forgot, its public hearing... so there it doesn´t work, I see, people make their minds about everything..
I think the 10 years old kids in schools should know :))) that it doesn´t work and if the 10 years old´s will grow up and they will have their own kids, they should be aware that it doesn´t work. :)))

But a traffic ticket is not admission of a crime or infraction. It's a notice to appear or accept the charge and pay the fine. Not until a court hearing or the fine is paid resulting in an automatic guilty. So at the time she was not convicted of a traffic violation? I think this is a bit petty to go after a judge for.

I’m afraid your judgement of these proceedings shows that you don’t understand the gravity of this reprimand. This action constitutes one big step in the direction of removing this judge from the bench, so calling the hearing a “slap on the wrist” is laughable. There is a video on this channel showing the public reprimand of a lawyer, who had been ordered to stand before the Court for his reprimand. His non-verbal conduct was so disgusting that it was actually cited during his disbarment a few years later. No judge or lawyer wants to be in this position, as it is a public humiliation in front of their peers as well as to potential lawyers and criminals, and is broadcast live for every person in Florida to watch.

I guess there is a history there that isn't apparent to those that aren't familiar with the case. Did this judge have a horrendous
driving record that resulted in her reprimand. From the video it appears that she received a speeding ticket on her way to the hearing
but failed to mention that incredibly inconsequential, trivial driving offense and is now being punished. Got a speeding ticket on the
way to the hearing? There must be some other underlying case, matter or issue than the failure to mention a speeding ticket.
