The Florida Bar vs. Stephen Bruce Rakusin (Disbarment Hearing)
In this attorney disciplinary case, The Florida Bar accused Stephen Rakusin of numerous violations of the ethical standards for lawyers, including filing a frivolous complaint in the trial court based on claims that were false and untrue. The judge-referee recommended that the court disbar Rakusin, and the Florida Bar supported that recommendation. Mr. Rakusin argued that the Bar filed the complaint outside the statute of limitations and that the ethical complaint against him should be dismissed.
The Florida Supreme Court ultimately found in favor of Rakusin, deciding that the grievance against him had been filed outside the statute of limitation.

“Honorable” before her name is such a contradiction in terms. Public reprimand does not go far enough. Judges need to kept to a higher standard than “Joe public”….

A verbal reprimand is good, but is weak in the grand scheme of things. There still is next to zero liability for these judges. They give empty apologies and only get a slap on the wrist. They need to be removed from their position on the bench and lose their little retirement nest egg as well (from the taxpayer). It seems people somehow can change their ways when they know they will take a hit to their bank account(s).

19:25 it doesn’t matter if you rely on someone else to do the work, when you delegate the work, you follow up to make sure the work has been completed. So was it the title companies fault or was it the guy who didn’t have the money’s fault? As I said, in my earlier comment, the buyer pays the registration fees in the closing. He should’ve had that money at the closing.

Another DEI hire it will only stop when we as a society will demand that this will not be allowed to continue. This woman should be removed permanently she is evil and thinks she has her own rules. If she were white she would be removed permanently from the bench and law license revoked. Everyone has trials in life that is NO excuse for atrocious behavior. She will just continue on and she got caught this time who knows what else she has pulled.

I’m going to say one thing. They appoint somebody a judge, and they give them no training. But that aside, his pattern has been to act out, and then apologize, to act out worse and then apologize by “taking full responsibility“. This is a pattern of behavior that he has probably exhibited his entire life. It’s not gonna change because you publicly humiliate him. It may change in the short term, but counseling and mentorship is not going to change a basic coping mechanism behavior that he has used throughout his life. I think he’s one of these people that apologizes and thinks that that undo what he has done or at least it gets him off the hook for it. This is a classic, spoiled little boy who now has power and doesn’t understand why he can’t use it as he sees fit.

There seems to be a problem with Florida judges , Bailey , Collins ,Decker, this judge , Aileen Cannon and Craig Dethomasis , what is it about Florida that causes all these judges to go rogue , is it the appointment process lacking in background character checks and evaluations or just a poor choice of candidate or something else , it can't be coincidence , this is happening too many times for comfort.
