I hope Lidia stays in Tekken 8. She doesn't fit my play style but I love her "feel". The animations and sounds are just so satisfying and visceral.

I'm learning Tekken for the first time and I chose Lidia as the character I want to learn the game with, so I really appreciate the breakdown of how all of her key moves and strings are used. Combos are still crazy, but it feels good getting some footing in and learning how to play a game I've always wanted to play with a character I connect to a lot.
I appreciate the effort you put in. I find myself coming back because i want to relearn her from a different perspective, or just to see if i overlookd something.

I'm not a good tekken player, but I like two characters, Jin and Lidia, so I searched for a guide of Lidia and found this amazing guide. Thanks for this incredible video
This is my first time playing Tekken in a while (last one I played was I believe Tekken 3 at the bowling alley arcade when I was a kid) but now with Kazuya in Smash and a fellow shotokan user has joined the cast, I got the game and bought Lidia right away.

13:40 ff+1+2 is trash don't use it for a mix up mid at the wall.
Imagine getting i13 block punished for trying to fish for a wallsplat from a mid. 😂
Use ff+3+4 instead which is safe on block and I think also jumps over lows.

Having played around in practice mode...if a bit spaced out I think wr1 is good as a wall splat option too (esp if you input it quickly or even iwr style).
Df4, 3 (and 4, 3?) is also possibly viable, and only -10. It slightly reminds me of mind games using Leo's db+1+2, 1 wall splat move (although that's hit confirmable of course).
WR1 is a good wall splatting option. The main problem I have with it is that it's a high =\. I do mention in the guide that d/f+4,3 does wall splat at the wall, but they would have to press buttons on the 2nd hit as even if the first hit is a normal hit, they can still block the 2nd hit. It's not a natural combo :(

Keymove:
Wallsplatting mid is now ff3+4. Slower than ff1+2, but safe.
Low frame advantage move is d3. It's a mental frame advantage move. Alone d3 is -3 on hit and -14 on block. But d3,1 is +4 on block. The opponent can always duck under the 1 even if d3 was counter hit. And when the d3 is blocked, the opponent automatically ducks under the 1 and gives them +20 frames for a ws punish. The mix up is with the slower d3,4. The opponent cannot tell the difference between ducking the 1 or ducking the 4, if they try to duck punish d3,1 they will eat the d3,4. If they delay in crouching to go under the d3,4 the d3,1 will recover in time. If they block the d3 and just punish anticipating the d3,1 will whiff or just block punishing the d3, the d3,4 will catch them. D3,4 can also be completed with a knockdown low adding another layer. Use d3 alone, and if they don't waste their turn to duck, use d3,1 to gain frame advantage. Taunting the opponent with the reward for a launch is the name of the game, and if they are in the business of blocking d3 you can use d3,4.
Good to know that f,F+3+4 is the new wallsplatting mid. I just don't like how slow it is. At least it does crush lows. But the speed really kills it.

Regarding stances:
CFo and CFt are -9 if you choose to block after ff2 and df2. The reason why you'd want to do that is that the opponent can interrupt all options except for the unsafe mid with a duck jab. So you'd do the ff2, wait for the stance to end, then low parry the duck jab.
122 is not good unless the opponent doesn't know the match up. You are at -12 if you choose to block after 122 and only CFt 3 can interrupt rage art. Basically, after getting hit with 122, power crush or duck and you can defeat all options except for blocking. And once they start blocking, you can PUNISH THEIR 122 with i12. 2,4 is the superior i10 punish cause it's +8 making df2 and ff2 unsteppable.
