Ben The Coin Geek
Old Pueblo Coin
That is incredibly cool. You can even use it to detect modern counterfeit coins! Thanks for sharing that unique piece with us!
Wow I wasn't expecting that balance!!!!

It wouldn't be a CoinGeek video without Ben sounding like a kid giving an oral book report. Love ya man but seriously, you CAN do more than one take lol
Thank you for showing this! Very cool old gadget! ✌️✌️
Cool piece of machinery.
A lot of thought went into making this, pretty dang clever!

Amazing hardware ! Those guys were really clever given the state of technology.
That's a boss awesome cool gadget right there. I want one just for the sake of history. I can't believe you flipped the bird. I thought this was a rated G channel.
I've never seen a worn-out gold coin before. I thought only silver coins were slicks.
"Flip the bird".....awwwww you did learn something while you were in Chicago! 😉😉
That’s the coolest thing I’ve seen in a long time !!

Hey Ben
Well that was very exciting!!!
Winner winner, chicken dinner 🍗 👏👏
Now I want one 🤣
Very cool, I just seen one on etsy for almost 600$, it looked cleaned though.
Very interesting.
That mechanical instrument is better than any electronix that won’t work
Hi Ben. What about wooden nickels??? *>>--->* 🦉
You did NOT just say "flip the bird". Lol
Ben, I saw a couple problems with how you were using the detector.
1) When checking the weight, you have to have the coin firmly against the bottom edge. I saw daylight when you were balance testing.
2) I could see thin alignment marks/lines on the dial, usually in the middle of the digits for the coin value. You need to put that line EXACTLY against the edge there on the upper piece of metal. You weren't aligning that mark properly, hence less precise results than this device is clearly capable of giving.
Otherwise super cool!
Now what's the story behind that 1855-S Good condition gold piece?
Hi Ben
🏆
Thanks. Interesting item to see. Rare?
I’ve never seen this one- so I’d use the word rare
@@TheCoinGeek Seems particularly ingenious in that there are several testing features in such a small item. Thanks again. Neat thing to own.
Very cool, but how would that work for the pre/post weight change coins?
Smidgie dab a getcha every time 😊
number 1 Ben
🥈😆
That's pretty cool. :D
Why do all these gadgets come from middle America, Ohio??
Back when Ohio was a manufacturing powerhouse.
