Some history - The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville Tennessee is THE center of country music in the USA. Homefree performing there was a huge step in being completely accepted in the genre. Ryman Auditorium is a 2,362-seat live-performance venue. It is best known as the home of the Grand Ole Opry from 1943 to 1974.
Love this Home Free original! The dream of all country musicians is to sing on The Grand Old Opry. Home Free has done it several times and singing at the Ryman is the ultimate for country musicians. Kind of like performing at Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden, or the Kennedy Center. I love how they are mentoring these new performers too and sharing their stage!
I love this original song by Home Free. It really showcases Rob's sweet vocals. Nice to see them doing it with another great group Texas Hill. The Home Free guys are very generous in helping other artists to get some exposure. They are very humble guys with no egos. Adam's vocal percussion & Tim's bass really ground this group & makes their sound special.
Home Free added instruments to their a capella song. Ignore them Maggie. What a toxic comment lol. Thanks Dale! Looked like a beautiful and really cosy setting. Everybody is able to get real close and i imagine the acoustics being amazing.
Jesse, glad you reacted to this version.....you got to see them singing live....they sound almost like their videos.....I've seen them in person twice & both times were amazing !!
Gospel Rob, in the sacred Ryman! Bring in all the boys, and we have CHURCH...pureness, gifts, only from the Good Lord! ❤️ GOOD LORD that was so good!!! 🤗
Home Free End of the Road, Blue Ain't Your Color, Between A Rock and a Heartache, It Looks Good on You (original), How Great Thou Art, Butts Medley, Cover Me Up, Amazed, Dive Bar Saints, Love Me Like That, Mayday, From Here to the Moon and Back.
Some of the people and groups Home Free sing with do have instruments. Most bands do. Home Free is acapella for the most part,(even though each of them can play instruments) and they figure it out together and it still sounds great. Texas Hill members were individually on the show 2 were on The Voice show and one was on American Idol before they formed the group together in 2020.
One of my favorites from the originals with great lyrics.. Rob who has the perfect voice for this. So soulfull, smooth, sweet and pure. Even live it sounds so solid. It touches me deep inside. Rob is really so good. Home Free with their amazing harmonies, the great bassline and incredible beatboxing. Texas Hill with their recognizable good voices and instruments. I especially like the guitar playing. Still, I have to say that the original version does something more for me. Then come to me more. You especially hear the blend of Rob and Chance better. But besides that, Home Free and Texas Hill are doing a awesome job here. They certainly deserve the applause. By the way, I had Casey James from Texas Hill on my playlist when he was still solo with "Nothin But Time" and "Need Your Live So Bad". He was third in I think the 9th season of American Idols.
Texas Hill is joining Home Free for all of their December 2022 tour dates. As mentioned by others, HF's Official Video of this song is a cappella paying homage to Grand Ole Opry legends.
The Ryhman Auditorium is a famous country venue. The Grand Ole Opera performs there. (country and bluegrass music). They started 1943 on the radio with live shows. You have to be invited to perform and to join. It is a very close club and an honor to be a member. It opened its doors in 1892 and was originally a church called the Union Gospel Tabernacle. In 1904, after Ryman's death, the building was renamed Ryman Auditorium in his honor. The Ryman was home to the Grand Ole Opry from 1943-1974 and is now regarded among the top performance venues in the U.S. I know you would enjoy hearing Tim Foust solo video of him singing Will You Still Love me/Stay. He sings all parts.
The song Dreamer is a Home Free original and they were at the Ryman which is where the Grand Ole Opry was for years. They were promoting Texas Hill since Texas Hill was opening for them on tour last year. This is so good and it’s live. Love Rob and Tim in this and Adam, the beatboxer with those drum sounds is remarkable. They’re touring with Maggie Baugh this fall and she plays violin. They help others as some big stars helped them earlier. Kenny Rogers, Don McLean, Alabama, Oak Ridge Boys, Lee Greenwood. You can see those videos with those stars too. Good reaction. Try the Driver, Helplessly Hoping, I Can’t Outrun You. 😃
If you go find the official music video for this song it IS pure a capella. Just Home Free without Texas Hill. 😉👍 I prefer that video to this one and it gives the song more meaning, I believe. It shows all of the greats from country music throughout the years playing at the Grand Ol' Opry (if you're invited to play there, it means you've "made it" in the world of country music)...then after paying tribute to those who paved the way, Home Free is shown going out onto the Opry stage...their dream coming true! You really should check that video out. 🎶❤
Before the Ryman became the venue for The Grand Ole Opry (yes "Opry" is a "country" corruption of the word "opera"), the building was a church, hence the stain glass windows. After they built Opryland, the Ryman was abandoned and almost torn down. About 15-20 years after being abandoned, they restored and renovated the Ryman. Despite its size, it's a popular venue for country music -- lots of nostalgia and memories. The Grand Ole Opry itself has an important place in country music. (As others have mentioned.) It started as a live radio show and is the longest running radio broadcast in the US. Location: Nashville, Tennessee.
Tim is my favorite because I love his bass but Rob has the best singing voice of all the members. Its smooth and clear. And probably why he has so many leads.
Other than the video Born in the USA where the guitar was as much a prop as an instrument HF only has instruments if they are featuring a guest performer like Maggie Baugh.

This is so awesome! Home Free with Texas Hill is so awesome! Rob is so awesome with his smooth awesome voice! Love your reaction!
The Ryman is a magnetic, beautiful & awesome building. There is not another place like it.
The Ryman is considered the mother church of country music.
Don't bother he has no clue he doesn't even care about the words. He wants instruments in a capella.
Home Free added instruments to their a capella song. Ignore them Maggie. What a toxic comment lol.

Going to see the live for the first time next month. Looking forward to it. Love this original song from them.

Rob and Austin is releasing an opera song tomorrow on Austin's channel
Great reaction
Texas Hill was the opening act for Home Free on their tour. Now getting more exposure due to Home Free.

If u have played the Ryman, u are the best if the best
I get to go see them in December
Thats awesome!
If you listen to the original with just home free you can hear it better
Doesn’t matter how you try to find it…..you won’t find anything that’s bad !!

Very old venue. What you see is full attendance
